I have to coyly admit,I'm a fan! Not just because of the cavernous wonderland that holds everything you need for your automobile tour of the highway. The bakery section is dangerous in the best way possible, filled with so many delicious goodies and sweet treats that it's hard to choose just one. The hot food section had so many tasty options available that I honestly couldn't decide what to get. Everything looked fresh, hot, and delicious. No matter what you're craving, they probably have it. The store itself was super clean, well organized, and surprisingly efficient considering how busy it gets. The staff kept everything moving smoothly, and the atmosphere was fun and energetic. If you've never been to Buc-ee's, you need to stop at least once. And once you do, you'll probably find yourself wanting to stop every time you see one on the road.

First off, I wish California gas stations were like this. We went to one of the smaller Buc-ee's, but their selection of gas station snacks were still amazing! Additionally, I loved how their fountain soda was SO cheap! It's very true that everything is bigger in Texas. Highly recommend Buc-ee's for a fun place to stop if you're a tourist! I go to work earlier than the plant people and for instance this morning at 4:20am the fuel price was $3.37. When I went back by at 6:30 the fuel price was $3.69. This happens daily! I went to HEB and got fuel for $3.37 per gallon.

I had also just stopped in Alabama and spent a fair amount of time at that Buc-ee's location. Baytown Buc-ees was a stop I made at about 3:30pm on 6/10/26 and I knew I was going to battle Houston traffic to get to Austin! I was able to purchase some nuts and snacks here and the store was consistent with other stores in the chain-- tons of food, super clean restrooms, mesmerizing merch, and plenty of gas pumps. Along with my love of Buc-ee's, I also have a ton of perks at Starbucks and was pleased to see that there was a store next to Buc-ee's. I was able to get a cold brew and be on my way in 30min. Fastest Buc-ee's/Starbucks stop on my trip! I guess it possible to do a quick stop at Buc-ee's, but before I left I saw a manager and asked her if this was the first Buc-ees and she said in a polite TX voice, "No sir, we are store #34" She also let me know that the first store was in Clute, TX. Knowledgeable staff!! Since I live near the first Chipotle I was curious. I didn't get to visit the 1st Buc-ee's store or the first In and Out Burger on this trip but there will be more. :) I did visit the first KFC and museum in Corbin KY! lol

We came during breakfast and we only got to try the brisket taco, tater tots, and Dr Pepper slushie but the taco alone was phenomenal. They had fresh brisket that they cut and then made the tacos right in front of us. If you're able to grab one of the hot and freshly cut brisket tacos for breakfast they are so juicy and good!! The rest of the store is amazing too! Of course we couldn't leave without a couple of souvenirs like every flavor of the jerky, Buc-ee's plushie keychain, pen and magnet.
