You ask what could be approved? EVERYTHING!. For example, we had a backed up drain in the beginning of August and we expected it to solve the problem. Problem is that we were heading back to the beach for August and not back until September. Shortly afterwards it happened again so they sent out the experienced older guy. Meanwhile the first attempt cost me 315 dollars for nothing. The older guy takes his camera looks around cleans out More stuff and charges me 870 dollars. We were gone for most of September but when we return the problem is way worse. I've had it with these guys and not going to sink more than the already 1200 plus dollars I gave them for doing absolutely nothing. I know there are good plumbers in Palm Springs and you can find one if you just avoid this one. They take your money and they don't do the job. Water intrusion is no fun get someone good. Had Frank from Alvarez Plumbing come out for service through AHS warranty service for slow water from my sinks in bathroom. Instead of removing the aerator from fixture he immediately tells me that due to having new copper pipes connected to steel has caused the problem and it will be $5,000 to fix with NO guarantee that will solve the problem. Had another plumber look at and he said first thing is look at aerator since one sink is 50% less water than the other sink. I called Frank who I think is the owner several times left messages over 1 week and he never called back so this is why he is getting this review. He spent like 3 minutes at my house and instead of trying to figure out the problem by looking at simple things first jumped to $5,000 repair telling me that might not work either. Was very satisfied with the technician when he came out to replace the faucet handle The home warranty would only cover one handle so I asked the technician if he would replace the other one if he had it in the box he said he would but it would be an additional $29 for one handle I went ahead and looked it up and for two handles you could pay $29 so I called the manager and asked why they charge me full price for two handles when the insurance covered one and I paid for the other out-of-pocket from my homeowners insurance the price for them to come out is $75 also they get paid for the job that was perform the manager told me that that's the way they do business they mark up everything double Very unsatisfied on the way they do business it also took him two weeks to get the part when I looked it up on Amazon I could've got it next day read more

I hope the Toilet Flange repair kit last and does not breakdown again. Wish the Flange was replaced completely. Also old caulking was not removed and replaced with new caulking. This company is very shady. We hired them to fix a problem we had with roots in the pipe and they dug a HUGE hole in the wrong place! Yikes. They never came back to finish the job but instead charged an extra $500 on our credit card that we did not authorize or sign for. We ended up getting a second and third opinion on the location of the problem and they both confirmed that Alvarez Plumbing did not know what they were doing when the dug the hole in the wrong place. Very disappointed in the most recent service call from Alvarez Plumbing Services. I had trusted this company and had them at my house many times before. As an authorized contractor for my home warranty company, they were assigned a work order for my water heater. I had been without hot water for several days. The technician Erik was assigned my service call. He arrived and spent about 23 minutes at my house. He was able to get my water heater back up and going, but after he left it failed again. I was not able to get any hot water again. I had tried the steps he did, but wasn't able to resolve the issue. I had contacted my home warranty company to request them to return. Except they had falsely reported to them that's water heater was failing because I didn't do required maintenance on it and so did the manufacturer of my unit. This was far from the truth. I was present and documented the conversation when our tech called Rinani because he truly didn't know how to fix the problem. (This was alarming, as a licensed plumber /technician should have to call to ask for assistance because he doesn't know how to diagnose the problem) And little did the technician know, my unit was just recently serviced. He had also failed to even take apart the unit to even come to the conclusion. I since had a second licensed plumber and company with over 25 years experience in the industry come to my house, to tell me that parts needed to be replaced, and they had gone bad inside the unit. It had nothing to do with servicing the unit. The tech should have caught this the first time, and had he taken my unit apart he would of seen this for his own. APS is an amazing company to work with and we have contacted them twice in the last 6 months for plumbing issues. The team is efficient, on time, courteous, responsive and reasonable. I was very impressed with Frank and Eric and their ability to work as a team to resolve an underground leak on my property. Water was bubbling up just feet beyond the city meter ( so my issue) and after the initial call Frank and Eric arrived within 15 minutes and resolved the issue in a short amount of time considering the amount of digging, pipe replacement etc etc that had to be done. Home warranty referred Alvarez Plumbing Svcs. Receptionist gets 2 stars . Called to find and fix leaking bathroom faucet and leak under kitchen sink. Dana was amazing. Very professional. Explained issue with bathroom faucet and fixed in a matter or minutes. As for the kitchen leak, he found the leak! Dana again explained thoroughly the problem and showed me the issue. Also fixed in matter of minutes. Waited two days for my appt but completely satisfied with the end results . I'm thankful Dana was the guy to make the service call. read more
