They have a lot of options for you to choose from, wheels, boards, bearings and more. As well as the Pricing was amazing.

We learned about Soul Grind and were told all of our options since this was our first time buying a skateboard. We have zero experience. Like, nobody in our family has ever ridden a skateboard prior to our visit to this store. The shop is small but has everything any skateboard enthusiast needs. I learned that most skateboard shops are really clothes and accessories retail stores with a spatter of actual skate boards. Soul Grind has exactly what they advertise...Skateboards. With Olivia's help, and with much attention to detail, we chose a beautiful black board with red wheels. If you are new to skateboarding like we are and want to go to a store with a great selection of boards and even better customer service, you need to stop by Soul Grind. I forgot to mention the most important details about this store. You have an option to customize your board from scratch if you'd like! Check them out and support a tiny, but mighty business. We are very happy with every detail about our visit! Thanks, Ashley Head and sons

Disappointing Experience - Poor Attitude and Unprofessional Behavior…read moreUnfortunately, our experience at URBN Skate Shop in Chula Vista was far from pleasant. We initially thought the gentleman helping us was nice, as we had been having a conversation with him. However, as the conversation continued, his attitude quickly changed the impression we had of him. He went on to speak negatively about other skate shops, referring to their boards as cheap, swap-meet merchandise, or something along those lines. What made this even more disappointing was that another local business had actually referred us to his shop. Instead of showing appreciation for that referral, he spoke poorly about other businesses. He repeatedly bragged about being the best skateboard seller in all of San Diego, claimed to have sold over 10,000 skateboards, and described himself as famous. Rather than coming across as knowledgeable and passionate about skateboarding, his comments came across as cocky and arrogant. The most awkward part was when I simply asked him his name. After carrying on a conversation with him, I thought it was a perfectly reasonable question. His response? "I'd rather not say." Seriously, who responds that way to a customer having a normal conversation with them? There is a difference between being confident in your business and making customers uncomfortable by putting down other businesses and boasting about yourself. A good business owner should be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience without the arrogance or disrespect. We came in expecting a positive experience and left feeling disappointed by the attitude and lack of professionalism. Being knowledgeable about skateboards is one thing, but how you treat people matters just as much. Unfortunately, the customer service left a lot to be desired, and this experience did not leave us wanting to return. A little humility and basic courtesy would go a long way. As for board selection... it lacks.

I've witnessed multiple…read moretimes where the people in this business spewed horrible attitudes and disrespect to certain customers who come in and don't fit into the stereotypical look of a skater, and because of this, they are ignored and not helped at all. They also like to take advantage of customers who are new to skateboarding and otherwise wouldn't know the actual prices of things, so they overcharge them. I've come into this shop multiple times with my children and nephews and have witnessed multiple times people of other races or those who don't fit the stereotypical look of a 'skater' who are treated completely different to my children and myself, in that they are completely ignored, not helped at all, or given a horrible attitude and judge mental looks towards. This is completely unacceptable and should not be tolerated. I will not be coming into this business any longer and will not be recommending it to anyone, and neither will my husband who works in the skateboarding industry. Avoid this place and don't support this business. They have no respect for anyone and have no business running a lemonade stand, let alone a skateboarding shop.
