Some of the problems were obvious and others were hard to pinpoint, but the effect was a mishmash. My daughter called Susan and after several reassuring texts, made an appointment to come into The Wedding Dresser. From the get-go Susan understood what was wrong & how to fix it. Her team went to work. The dress was how it should have been - masterful work, a talented team, and able to pull it all off in record time!

The owner of The Wedding Dresser, charges high prices for reasons I cannot comprehend. I brought my…read moredress to Susan and agreed to pay her $1600 for quite a few alterations. I asked to stop the alterations because I could not afford to move forward. Susan said no problem and that the hem was done. When I picked up my dress, the hem was not finished, only the inner layers of the dress had been hemmed and they'd been hemmed WRONG! They were ascending rather than descending. This incorrect hem cost me $750 (1/2 of the total which is very high pricing!) but because I did not have an itemized receipt (though I asked for one) that price shocked me. The top layer was the shortest and they got longer from there so they were ascending rather than descending which is not how I brought the dress in or how wedding dresses are supposed to be hemmed. I called Susan, assuming it had to be a mistake, but she refused to fix her mistake. I found a seamstress to complete all alterations for 1/8 of the price. Susan had google remove my review threatening to sue me for defamation and extortion but I don't want her money, nor did I ever threaten her or lie. I just don't want others to have the experience I had. Google is biased and sides with business often. Customer service is all I ever asked for and wanted, a simple apology, any kind of offer to adjust the incorrect hem would have been more than enough.

They have many styles and were so accommodating, pulling styles for me and showing things that I may like but have not considered. I ended up with a dress that was pulled out last! Also, I went in thinking I would buy a dress I previously tried on at a separate place and they were able to order it for me if I ended up deciding that I wanted that style from Allure. They are able to order dresses and are very honest with the time it takes to make and get delivered. Another thing to note is that they were not predatory at all which was so refreshing. I had a couple of experiences where I felt pressured to make a decision on the spot and then received many texts after asking me to make a choice which Ira did none of. Overall, a great experience and I was also sent home with an unexpected bottle of Prosecco to celebrate which was the cherry on top!

No alterations are done at the store so you have to pick up your dress and cart it around to find a seamstress. Communication throughout the process was also great. I enjoyed that they have you try on a slip and take your measurements before bringing you dresses. This ensures they are closer to your actual size to give you a more realistic and accurate look of what the dress would look like on you. This is the only bridal salon who did this, which I really apprecaited it. The dress selection is more limited compared to some other bridal salons since they carry their own line, but the dresses they do have are beautiful and very true to the Grace Loves Lace style. I appreciated the follow-up communication with my measurements and favorite style/accessories. I ultimately went with a different dress, but I had a really lovely experience and appreciated how kind and helpful Alli was.
