Mold grows in the women's steam room, no one cleans it ever. Not having a light in there does not hide the issue. It's overpriced, and the staff is rude. Don't bring a 10 month old to the pool unless you purchase a guest pass- well actually it's enroll them in daycare to sign a liability waiver, would have been happy to do that-but instead the rude front desk lady had me purchase a pass or said I had to leave, only to actually explain the rule after I told her she was out of line. I'm cancelling the mommy and me class, 90 bucks minus the 10 dollar pass for my 10 month old back in my pocket. If that's how they treat mothers and tiny children, why put more money into their pocket? I've been a paying member for 3 years, yet, apparently that's acceptable treatment. We can only hope someone opens a YMCA.

You workout with a group, so there is a little competition going, but most of the competition with with yourself. You keep track of your progress. Sometimes we repeat workouts (WOD) in order to measure how much we are improving. It's incredibly addicting, so once you start you're likely not to miss a WOD for anything. The crew at Sonora CrossFit is great. They will work with you to improve your technique and encourage you to get stronger. They have built a great atmosphere for newbies and CrossFit pros alike.

The gym itself is not crowded during the day. The also have indoor rock climbing available. The next year we moved in to Sonora Hills, and about a year after that I discovered CLASS 5, and suddenly my life changed for the better! CLASS 5 keeps me strong; so I can live a better life. She had me work out with Kettle Bells and we did The Strong First - Russian work out. Yowza. It was effective- invigorating and challenging! I enjoyed it way more that I thought! The fitness center offers various size Kettle Bells, Battle ropes and weight lifting bars. What I loved the most is that you aren't left alone. They constantly monitor you and will show you the proper stance. I got to work out a 2nd day with Jessie. (The other owner). I took my back out swinging in a game of golf. Jessie showed me how to stretch. After our session, I was able to successfully walk out upright. If I lived in Sonora, I would definitely be a member.
