The old Lancaster was amazing. They have a main hangar (building) and a large "tent" outside. Helicopters, the first passenger plane and more - including a hot air balloon, the Avro Arrow and several Odes to our RCAF. We always visit aeronautical museums when we travel. If you're into the wonders of old flyin' machines, pop on by!

Was busy from the time it opened and even more people coming through the gates! Five builds filled with vendors and animals for the kids!! Equi-Plex, Candy Cane Lane, Winter Wonderland, Riding Hall, Horizons Pavilion, with plenty outside food venues. Prepay tickets online is the best! The pay booth has a very long line. Plenty of parking and sites to see!

Well curated, comfortable - clearly assembled with LOVE AND PRIDE OF OUR VETERANS, here and gone. WE WILL REMEMBER THEM! LEST WE NE'ER FORGET! I took a ton of pictures and hope I captured the essence of this exceptional Museum. UPDATE: We went back after lunch to check out more. One can easily spend a full day here. The Volunteers (Veterans) are remarkable people.

The displays are very well done, though occassionally a bit tight to the ceilings. The collection is diverse, and it endeavors to name individuals. I especially appreciated the fact that injury and death are shown (may need to be careful with young children), a rarity among too many museums (USMC is one notable exception). It also offers a lovely view of Calgary's largest downtown buildings. Things to note: no dogs allowed, this is a city field, folks! Parking is limited to two small lots, but there is lots of street parking Don't let your kids kick balls against the tennis club building as it echoes into their VIP dining lounge and those guys get mad. The sun was out, I enjoyed sitting on the dilapidated bleachers watching the soccer and took photos. Girls from youth soccer teams roamed the field selling gatorade and pop to fundraise for their team. What a beautiful day, in a beautiful park!

It is laid back, chill & a no glamour facility. Perfect! The staff are mature seasoned YYC city employees who are always happy & helpful. We had to be there 30 minutes before the movie was to start, so my sister and I we got a good layout of the land and we pretty much stayed till 6 o'clock. Fun was had by all. it was quite interesting to learn that you can order food from your seats, even during the movie. There was 2 issues where they brought my fries, but they were cold. They replaced them with hot fries and didn't charge me, my granddaughter didn't get her pop so I had to hunt them down and they didn't charge us for the missing drink, because it was missed. I like the fact, they were attentive to us, and that they were very acknowledgable and friendly.
