I hired them late winter to prune 5 of my trees. They charged an exorbitant amount of money and barely pruned anything. Now that the trees are leafed out it is obvious that they did an extremely poor job. Very dissatisfied and now I have to pay another company to do the job properly. Stay far away! read more

I wouldn't trust them to cut down a weed, let alone diagnose and treat my trees. They allegedly came to my house and looked at my trees, then sent me an email saying there's nothing wrong with them, but my trees clearly have an infestation of some sort. I sent them pictures as a follow up and have been ghosted by Kevin...no response to my email. I suppose it's for the best, I won't give my hard-earned money to a supposed "family owned" company with "core values" when they clearly can't even follow through on a consultation. read more

Upon leaving the arborist agreed to give me a letter stating the tree up should com down And a second letter stating ways to save the tree for a few years However I got a wishey washey one letter stating both things That was useless to me as the HOA will not let me take the tree down without a specific statement that it should come down Additionally the estimated cost to take the tree down was extremely high Almost double other estimates This is a bunch of independents working under a corporate shell name read more

I could not be more satisfied with the professional and knowledgeable team that trimmed my tree. The team was fantastic and my tree looks better than I imagined. The yard was cleaned up and they were gone. The price was in my budget and I highly recommend Altitude Arborist. read more

We bought a house with two dead trees and had a few contractors over for quotes. Altitude was by far the most professional and knowledgeable and not just some random dudes cutting trees. We didn't actually schedule the work until a year after we got the quote and they still honored it, which was really great. When they came over, they got to work and were very patient when Xcel was late for their appointment to turn off our power. The crew was efficient and very clean. It's not cheap and it's sad to lose trees but if you have to do it, Altitude is the way to go. read more

They have horrible communication. We asked them to trim our maple tree: they quoted us to trim it and take off the dead branches. But when they came out and trimmed it they left the dead branches and now it's lopsided. It looks worse than before they came. I called to complain.:...which they never return calls. They only email. I asked if I still had to pay full price for such a crappy job and they said yes. They didn't trim the whole thing because if they did it would kill the tree so they trimmed just a tiny bit to try and give it another year or two. No one explained this to us. They could have said the tree is dying we can either just leave it or we can take it down. But they happily charged the full price for the half way trim job and then assume we will pay more to cut it down in a year or so when it's dead. DO NOT GO WITH ALTITUDE. High prices. Horrible communication. Look elsewhere. I know I will. read more

Great tree service. Communication topnotch. They were proactive about staying in touch, made a very competitive estimate, provided an online means of accepting their proposal, sent a three man crew right on time, and completed the removal of two thirty foot Aspen trees, complete with prep and thorough cleanup in about 1/2 an hour. Very respectful of planting and fence right next to trees. Job done efficiently and with a smile. Crew led by Austin was terrific. Would hire them again and would recommend to others. read more

Excellent service. We hired then at peak season and understandably there's a wait time for the actual day for trimming. However, quote was sone quickly. And the tree trimmers/climbers came on time, and did a wonderful job. 10/10 would use them again and recommend to others read more

What a fantastic experience! They were quick to respond and Hunter Townsend was quick to come out and give us a bid. They were also very responsive to any questions we had along the way. A fantastic crew came out and trimmed and pruned our trees and did a fantastic job! They communicated all the way through, came on time and also did a great job cleaning up. They walked the property with us both before they started and before they left. They are one of the most professional Arborist companies we have ever used. They are a company that is honest and reliable. Those qualities are hard to come by these days. We highly recommend them! Thank you Altitude Arborist! We will be using you again! read more

Nothing but great things to say about Hunter and the team at Altitude Arborist. He and his crew took down a huge double-trunk pine tree from our front yard recently, and ground the stump. Now, you'd never even know a tree was there. They were professional and communicative - our job was postponed 3x from original date due to weather - and proactive about getting in touch with us about the rescheduling each time. They cleaned up all the needles, hauled away the trunk pieces, and even cut up pieces for us to use for firewood next year. Highly recommend! read more

They removed our Aspen tree and trimmed the Cherry Choke tree. They were fast, professional and cleaned up afterwards. Much appreciated!

Hunter Townsend's Altitude Arborist are VERY Professional. They have all the equipment necessary and will be glad to furnish certificate of liability insurance as well as workmans compensation insurance for his employees. His employees are mostly long term with the company. Their communications with me (whether by voice, text, or email), from the time I requested a quote, until the job was complete, was timely and complete. I had them out to remove a HUGE 75' Cottonwood scrunched in between two houses. They completed the job with no damage to either home or the other landscaping, and left the area thoroughly cleaned. His pricing was in line with others who bid the job. I HIGHLY Recommend Altitude Arborist. read more

Hunter and crew are top end professionals! The crew actually cares about my yard and how my trees actually look. The Plant Health care employee was awesome! Explained what he was doing and what it meant for my trees. Thanks for being a caring polite crew on time and finished quickly. Even closed my gate after it was opened for equipment!! No mess just great service! read more

My review is similar to Keana's (listed below in the 'not recommended' reviews). I contacted them about removing a tree and they were very poor about returning my calls, and then failed to show up (or cancel, or reschedule, or call and apologize) for the appointment they confirmed with me. Subsequent follow-up calls about the missed appointment were not returned. It's a pretty sure bet that if you can't bother to communicate on the most primitive level with your potential clients, well then you don't deserve a good review. Hunter and his team were amazing! He was able to come out and quickly remove 2 dying trees. I work from home and barely knew he was there. He kept everything clean and when he left, you could not tell he had been there. Amazing work! read more

Let me start this by stating that I should have gotten more estimates. But I was charged $750 dollars for 2 men - one hours work. I have talked to other arborists and I basically was wayyyyyyyy overcharged as the trees were small and one was an even smaller sucker. I WAS TOTALLY RIPPED OFF, once Hunter realized what a small job it turned out to be he should of adjusted the price. He charged $250 to cut a sucker tree with several branches about 3 inches wide - the other two tree trunks were only 15 inched wide which were also $250 each to take down. Rita read more

Very responsive and did a nice job! Reasonable prices.

Wow, just wow. I'm so impressed with this company and so grateful for their help. I contacted them yesterday, got a very reasonable quote, and they came today and did the work and it was exactly as I asked. Actually, it was even better than I asked, because they took everything away! Even the sawdust in the yard was cleaned up. I would strongly recommend using their services, and Hunter was great to deal with. read more

I really wish I could give this company a better review but I don't have anything that warrants a 5 star review. The first lady I spoke with was nice and seemed to be knowledgeable about the process. I set up an Appt for someone to look at our tree on a Tuesday and for an estimate to be sent via email. Tuesday and Wednesday came and went with no email. I called Wednesday night to follow up and I left a voicemail. I heard nothing for several days and now it's been a week with no contact what so ever. I don't know if it was a scheduling issue, or lack of time, or just strait up not caring to do what they said they were going to do. Either way, I do not appreciate the lack of contact. If they are to busy to take another project, that's fine, just say that. I give 2 stars cause the woman I spoke with was nice but I really can't say anything good or bad about the employees cause I had no contact with the company since the first call. read more

I had Hunter and his team remove a 50' to 60' Cottonwood tree from my back yard. I received my initial quote the same day as promised from Hunter, which was very reasonable. Missi (the office manager) was fantastic about initial communication and scheduling, as well as confirming the day before the service. They were extremely professional and safe-working and the area was completely clean when they left; front and back! I think the service was a tremendous value; particularly after watching what was involved in removing the tree piece by piece. I will definitely have them back for pruning and maintenance of my other trees and would recommend them as well. read more

I would highly recommend Hunter, who is a certified arborist. He was very professional and gave us lots of helpful advice to keep our trees healthy.
