We asked Green Guys to come and fix our sprinklers that have given us trouble for 20+ years. JJ came out with another worker and between them they replaced all our sprinkler heads for rotating ones that finally work. For the first summer I can remember I had to do nothing - everything just worked all last summer. I just wish I had called Green Guys earlier. I needed to rip out a section of grass and put in xeriscape along the side of my house. My experience w/ Green guys was great from the start - they listened to what I wanted, communicated well around the logistics of the project, priced out a fair quote and then got to work. They were at the house for 2.5 days and worked incredibly hard. When I needed adjustments made they worked with me to get the final result I wanted. JJ and Marianna at Green Guys are awesome! A couple years ago, Green Guys installed a completely new irrigation system in our yard - it was a big job and they got it done in about 1 week. The following summer, they installed sod and another zone for us in a part of our yard that used to have some unattractive shrubs. Every spring and fall they take care of getting our sprinkler system up and running and then shut down for winter. We were with this company for 2 years and both times we had problems with them. One time, the guy broke something while trying to start up our sprinkler system (he did not know I was watching him), and charged us 250.00 for his mistake. The following year, they came out and turned on our sprinkler system and left. I noticed that the water was spraying onto our porch and saturating our wood beams with water. I immediately called to let them know and I was told it would cost me another 100.00 for them to come back out to fix the job that they should have done in the first place. read more

I hired them to clear out a lot of underbrush at the edge of my yard, and they did a good job. They sent over a huge trailer for clippings and 4 workers, who worked fast and spent about 3 hours on it. Scheduling was a little tricky, since they give priority to their regular landscape maintenance, and brush-clearing is on a space-available basis. They explained all this to me when I called to order the work, but it does mean you have to be flexible. They called a few weeks later and asked to do the work two days from then, then called the next day and asked to move it up a day to that afternoon. This worked out well for me but it was a little chaotic. read more

I believe I called Monday and on Thursday morning they at my home, on time, quickly doing the task at hand. The work JJ and the crew did was exemplary. It was clear that they didn't cut any corners and took pride in the quality of their work. It was a long wait with the exceptional amount of rain we've had this spring, but it was worth it knowing we'll have a patio and backyard we'll be able to enjoy for years and years. We had them landscape our backyard which included a fairly large paver stone patio, sod, flower beds and all irrigation (sprinklers and drip). As mentioned above, work was delayed quite a bit due to all the rain we've had this spring, but JJ let us know as the schedule had to be adjusted and was available by phone and text when needed. JJ and his team installed a sprinkler system and left us with a terrible mess. The yards are so uneven they can not be mowed with these huge tracks and mounds sticking up where the pipes were laid. JJ claimed they would settle 'over time' but that hasn't worked. Also, his machine spewed hydraulic fluid in one of the yards and then JJ tried to brush this one off too. Finally, the connection to our frost-free hydrant rendered this spigot all but unusable, then he told me to just cut it off for the winter and he would help me with a new design. Now he claims he can't find workers for the season when in reality JJ is the only one needed to fix this connection. So I'm going to spend another $1,000+ to correct these issues and will be taking him to small claims court to recover. JJ will over-sell his capabilities, take no responsibility for his work and seems to have no sense of pride or workmanship. read more

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Working with the owner of Green Guys, JJ, has been a nightmare. Equally as unprofessional has been Marietta in the office. JJ provided me with a "contract" to install a sprinkler system and sod in my yard on June 13, 2021. He required and was given a $5000 deposit which was half of the total estimate. I was then put into the "cue" or "wait list" for the install. I informed JJ from the beginning I was needing to take care of the overgrown weeds and plant life in my yard before he started the project as I didn't want to have a "failed" project due to the weeds. He agreed I should do so and stated to "no problem, just let me know when you're ready". He did reach out to me on 2 occasions to begin the project and when I informed him the weeds, though better, but still an issue, he agreed I "should continue trying to kill them and has no problem pushing my job back, just let me know when you're ready". Within a week, he then called me stating "he got hit with a lot of big $ jobs, in fact they gave me deposits without even getting an estimate" and I was out of time. I informed him I was willing to wait to Spring as I knew things dragged on a bit. TO MY SHOCK! I received a "text" stating he was refunding my deposit! NO EXPLANATION AT ALL as to why, if he would continue in the Spring, nothing. In an effort to understand what was going on, over 2 weeks I sent him 8 text messages (which he always answered before) asking him to please call me for understanding. To date, I have heard nothing. I called the office October 1 and talked to Marietta who actually stated he's "been busy and his cell phone doesn't often work". WOW! Does she think I was born yesterday? He doesn't want my measly little job anymore as he's busy with the "big jobs" now.....so after signing a contract in June, working and waiting all summer for a new lawn, he refunds my deposit the end of September with no explanation. I called Green Guys because half my lawn is dying. I am in the middle of house restorations because I recently had a fire and don't have the time or energy to look into what's wrong with my lawn, and I was going to list my house for sale when it caught on fire. So I am swamped and overloaded! Instead of telling me they'd come out to look at it, they told me all the troubleshooting things I could do to figure out, on my own, what was wrong with my lawn. I hired Green Guys to install my sprinkler system, sod and landscaping rock. They did a pretty good job with the sprinkler system and the lawn but I was I little disappointed with the landscaping rock. They missed a 13"x21' strip along my fence that borders the ally, when I brought it up JJ was very quick to say his bid was for inside the fence and that he did me a favor by installing rock along the driveway on the out side of fence which was about 21"x21'. Ok thanks but it didn't sit right with me. This spring I noticed that the sprinkler box that was buried and contains the manifold sank and was causing the PVC pipe to bend quite a bit. They came right out to fix it but tried to bill me and said it was my builders fault for not properly back filling the foundation. JJ ended up not charging me for the repair which was good. I looked at my proposal from Green Guys and the wording for the rock is "4' around the fence" not the inside of the fence. I measured the square footage of rock and he was right when he said he did me a favor by filling in the area by my drive way. But the great deal I was given was 173 square feet of rock. That's an 8" strip that's 21' long. His guys messed up, and in my opinion, instead of making it right I was offered a quick excuse. I will not recommend Green Guys to any of my neighbors in our growing development. read more

Called Green Guys for a quote to landscape our backyard , JJ came out and we walked through the yard and talked about what we wanted...nothing special just grass, sprinklers and rock for our new backyard. We had contacted other companies that were over priced or were't interested in doing the job at all. JJ listened to what we wanted, made a couple of money saving suggestions, they then submitted their bid which was very reasonably priced. The only bad thing was they were booked out a few months so we had to wait :( BUT is was so worth the wait!!! Green Guys did an amazing job and were so quick!
