Perry-Martel International - David E Perry - the Rogue Recruiter

    Perry-Martel International

    (3 reviews)

David Perry raises the bar on what an executive recruiter should be. It's not often you come across…read morea recruiter that actually changes the game but David fits that category. He's written multiple books on recruiting that show off the range of his expertise AND unlike many so-called "influencers", he still works as an executive recruiter. I know that a single review can only mean so much so just check out the Testimonials page on his website to see that it's not just me who thinks this highly about David.

Funny story, I purchased David Perry's book back in 2012, "Guerrilla Marketing for the Job Seeker…read more3.0." The book made an impact on me, but as it turned out I fell into a great job and didn't need the book. I did take many concepts from the book and integrated them into my sales process which gave me great results. So I was already a fan of David Perry and his writing. In 2016 I came across a very good LinkedIn profile and connected with the owner, not realizing it was again David Perry. I only realized a few months ago I have been connected to him via LinkedIn for several years. Finally, in late 2018 after successfully selling a company I owned and finding myself needing full-time employment, I signed up for David Perry's "Guerrilla Marketing for Job Seekers" online program which is much more in-depth than the book and is helps "hand-hold" a person through the job seeking process. Again, I started the Guerrilla job-seeking process and came in contact with David (i was already a bit of a fanboy so it was very cool to actually interact with the author of a book I was a fan of) about some items on the online program and he informed me of a position he was trying to fill that I appeared to be a good fit for. As it would turn out, I received an offer and accepted the position. It's the job I've been waiting for and I am grateful David approached me about the opportunity. However, even though I have had very good fortune and haven't actually had to use the Guerrilla job seeking system, I can attest to its results as I regularly use its principles in my sales career. I am confident that should I ever find myself needing a new gig, the "Guerrilla Marketing for Job Seekers" online system or book will find me the next "dream job." I'm absolutely convinced of it. If you get a chance to talk or meet David, I highly recommend it. He's an amazing recruiter and even better guy.

    Canadian Forces Recruiting Centre

Looking for a career and unsure what to do? Well come on in and learn about the amazing opportunity…read moreto join the Canadian Forces. Great pay, excellent benefits, travel to different places, and the opportunity to advance in your career. The recruitment centre has all the in demand jobs. When you go to the forces website, you'll find that they don't update it often. Despite it being a recruitment centre, they don't really "sell" you. It's more of an information centre. After learning about the different careers and you are already interested then you'll need to apply online through the forces website. No need to come in person unless you have questions about the military life. If you have questions regarding the specific position, then I doubt the recruiter could help you unless the recruiter had the same position before becoming a recruiter. After applying online, you'll have to send in copies of your transcript and other documents they request to the address they give you (or email you). Once that is done, you'll get an email about writing a test at the recruitment centre. Once the test is done, they score your test and see if your application is competitive enough against the other candidates. They will email you the results. If it's positive then they will offer you the position. :) All the best for those applying and support the troops. Despite not being a big fan of wars, my brother is in the military and I'll support him no matter what.
