I was called by Lisa Haddow initially and was asked basic questions. A few days later, I had a video call with Rikkilee. Went great. Approximately 2 weeks later Lisa set me up with a call from a client seeking an Executive Assistant. Again, the call went great or so I had thought. This is when it went sour. Heard NOTHING from the client and NOTHING from Lisa despite several emails requesting an update. Finally received an email from her saying she would call me the next day. Waited all day. Even sent another 2 emails asking if the call was still on. NOTHING. Finally the next day she contacted me informing me the client had chosen another candidate. Fair enough. Not the first job I have lost out on. Because of her lack of replies and updates (and with the client as well) I passed on 2 other other interviews because I was lead to believe the interviews went great and my qualifications EXCEEDED what they were looking for. I often see many job listings that I AM EXTREMELY QUALIFIED FOR on Indeed and routed via Randstad. Reached out to inquire about these positions. Nothing. In order for me to change my opinion on Randstad, Lisa needs to do something spectacular to gain my trust in them. Being ignored is frankly RUDE and VERY unprofessional.

The book made an impact on me, but as it turned out I fell into a great job and didn't need the book. I did take many concepts from the book and integrated them into my sales process which gave me great results. So I was already a fan of David Perry and his writing. In 2016 I came across a very good LinkedIn profile and connected with the owner, not realizing it was again David Perry. I only realized a few months ago I have been connected to him via LinkedIn for several years. Finally, in late 2018 after successfully selling a company I owned and finding myself needing full-time employment, I signed up for David Perry's "Guerrilla Marketing for Job Seekers" online program which is much more in-depth than the book and is helps "hand-hold" a person through the job seeking process. Again, I started the Guerrilla job-seeking process and came in contact with David (i was already a bit of a fanboy so it was very cool to actually interact with the author of a book I was a fan of) about some items on the online program and he informed me of a position he was trying to fill that I appeared to be a good fit for.
