Most of that time was Dr. Wall meticulously shaping the filling, since I'm picky about the feel of a new filling. She was very patient and nice the whole time. I was also able to start my cleaning within 5 minutes of walking in the door, and the hygenist (I believe her name was Suzanne) did great work. There are some good office staff also. I went to Royal Oak Dental yesterday to have a temporary crown removed and a new crown put in place. The person that was to remove the temp crown started working on me but it was painful and I didn't know what to expect . This person was tugging at pullng the temp crown off pulled back with the instrument she was using and cut my lip she was not aware she did that until she saw the blood. I didn't have trust in her after that. Treat a patient like a person not a machine. I eventually had a numbing agent . Dr Smith is very clever and I believe he is good at what he does. He finally came along and gave me a perfunctory one liner that could infer I was responsible for this injury. He did what he had to do with the crown and stated he would come back when I had numerous xrays. Dr Smith never came back he must have got too busy.

Having it caused me anxiety and pain. I felt self conscious and it would ache and force me to only chew on only one side of my jaw. I am getting married in March and I dreamed about feeling confident in my smile for our wedding day. So I finally started looking into getting it replaced. I wanted to have it done, but was very anxious about the experience secondary to my generalized anxiety about going to any dentist. My first attempt was in March (2019) with a different dentist and it went TERRIBLY. Luckily, I managed to escape with my smile untouched, but I was certain that I was doomed and I would never feel good about my teeth. I also felt even more anxious about it, and questioned if I could try again. Luckily, I stumbled upon Dr. Kofford and decided to give it one more try. Throughout the entire experience his humor and kind spirit gave me comfort and confidence in him. By the time the surgery date came around I found that I was not the least bit anxious, but actually felt excited about the transition. I knew that I would feel emotional about finally being free of my tooth, but there were no words for how I felt. I cant stop looking at my smile, which is something I have never experienced. Preferably one or two dentists. * Place that could see our whole family Place that is good with people with anxiety as I have extreme anxiety and PTSD Now because I have anxiety my Husband went first and 'checked' it out. He was pleased and said it would be a good fit for us. So I got an appt. Then we decided to make an appt for my son and he got in faster then my appt as I assume there was a cancellation and we got lucky making the appt. My son went in and liked it a lot and the hygienist (I think Alex?) was great and so was the dentist. My appt was today and it was a breeze and everyone was very nice and I was happy with everything. If you struggle with anxiety you should go here. They didn't make me feel bad about anything. And thankfully all 3 of us are cavity free.

Very clean and well staffed. On the way out they also offered me a cookie which I thought was nice (though kind of funny since it could be counterintuitive with a teeth cleaning).
