They treat her like their own child. Finding a daycare is one of the hardest and most important decisions we had to make. It was the best decision. I used to be nervous how she would handle transitions especially when she moved up in new classrooms because she is so attached but she continues to build and maintain the relationships she has with the staff Ms. Eva, Ms. Hajera & Ms. Amia. She is so happy there and misses her teachers and friends when she is away. She has been bringing home the cutest crafts starting with her tiny footprints and handprints that progressed into cute art projects. She has learned so much with her letters and numbers. She looks forward to the holiday parties and activities like visits from Santa & fire department. We can't say enough positive things. To sum it up, it's a small family run daycare that we trust completely. It's affordable too. If you are on the fence because there are so many places - I'd recommend taking a tour. We instantly felt at ease and at home.

We had some challenges and concerns when the center was sold a to a larger company, but the current center director is phenomenal and brings the whole center to the level of care, fun, and education that I have expected from them over the years. Several of the teachers have been there as long as we have (or longer!) and all of them are creative, caring, and make the center a wonderful experience that my daughter loves going to each day. They have begun clearing and creating nature trails behind the building which gives them more and more opportunities to incorporate nature into the daily experience. I highly recommend the Village Learning Center to anyone looking for a quality, comprehensive daycare and preschool for their children.

Basic care like bathroom assistance and emotional support was often overlooked. Communication from administration was slow, and any attempt at corrective action only came after multiple efforts on our part to explain the neglect our child experienced. It left us feeling like our child simply wasn't welcome which was incredibly difficult to witness as parents. One kind staff member stood out, but overall, this is not the nurturing or responsive environment we expected or would recommend.

We really feel so comfortable leaving our children there. Management is very good communicating with us when there are things going on we need to be aware of. Yes it is more expensive than some other options in the area but it's worth it. We've recommended it to a few families in the area.

I had to pull our 10 month old son, at the time, out of this facility. He was only there for 1 week. The teachers, if thats what you want to call them, were not suitable to take care of infants. Unresponsive, uncaring, and unhelpful behavior towards children. The plus, the cameras, at an additional expense, after a short period of time, showed us all the wrongdoings of the staff. We moved to another daycare and it seems like a whole new world. The additional cost for the camera access and lunch, on top of incompetent staff.......is a no brainer. Do not enroll here. We left here 1 year ago and couldn't be happier with our choice. All Lightbridge Academy daycares are not created equal. Much better locations not that far from this one.

The offices are bare bones, the salaries are not padded (I can attest to this, having worked there several years ago) so a very high portion of donations goes to the people who need it. Some of the services that they offer the community are Meals on Wheels, Kosher Cafe which is a social outlet for seniors, youth groups, food pantry, counseling, an aging in place agency and more. These services are all in high demand in the community and JFCS does a good job publicizing their offerings to make sure the people they serve know what is available. A great, dedicated staff offering great services to the community.

When it came time to put my daughter in daycare, she advised against me checking this place out, saying it went downhill. I toured it, anyway, and was horrified by what I saw in the 20 or so minutes I was there. I heard childcare providers outright screaming at crying children, other workers ignoring children while they sat staring in a stupor, and it seemed like most of the curriculum involved watching children's TV shows. Pretty sure there isn't any teaching going on here-- just expensive, subpar babysitting. A lot of the place smelled like feces and urine, too. What's going on with this place???
