This place is a joke! They hire physical therapists who get…read moretheir license in a Cracker Jack box. Do not go here. They do not take their patients seriously. They do not look at their patient's charts. They will test you and use you as a guinea pig. It's play time for them. I was nearly healed thanks to my amazing chiropractor, who always had to undo the damage these so-called "doctors" would do by telling a person with a disc herniation from a car accident their kooky version of what physical therapy is -- like: 1. Walking across the gym floor holding a 20 pound dumbell in one hand and a 5 pound dumbell in another, while walking on my heels!! NOTE, I am petite, only a size 4 and not even 120 pounds! Plus, I had an injury! I was in so much pain, their Director of Operations, said I'd do better in their West Caldwell facility. (I later realized DoO was not concerned about me, but rather pushing the new West Caldwell facility! I was such a fool for listening to this snake oil salesman!) Anyway husband took a day off work to meet with him. And he said, "Just because my wife is in great shape, it doesn't mean she's not in pain." He looked my husband right in the eye and promised my husband that I'd be in good hands. LIAR! I actually was okay until the PT I was working with went on vacation. Before this, I was 5-days straight absolutely pain free! THEN they paired me with a so-called "doctor" who thought it was okay to bend over and do repetitive squats with my butt sticking out holding a 10 pound weight. And I told her, "MY CHIROPRACTOR SAID NO SQUATS!" She did not listen and insisted it was okay. Her sassy remark was, "You carry groceries, don't you?" So rude and foolish! Uh, ma'am, no, my husband carries my groceries. And when I do carry groceries, I don't do squats with them. DUMMY! Anyway, after this so called "doctor" (who I looked up and is just a mere prenatal Pilates instructor, not a doctor) had me in such horrible pain!! I couldn't sleep that night and was crying in my husband's arms for hours. During the night I sent several emails to express my concern to the director of operations who promised me I'd be in good hands. ALSO NOTE, he said that this "doctor" reviewed my case. She reviewed NOTHING! She blindly made me do squats holding a 10 pound weight when I told her NO. THEN she asks me where the disc herniation was. I said, "Didn't you look at my chart?" She admitted she did not look at my chart. Caught in a lie. The DoO assured me that she read my chart. The owner Jack, sends me an email saying that I was the problem and that I'm stressing out their people. LMAO! Oh, dear, I am so sorry that I expressed I was in pain because your people don't know how to listen or how to read people's charts. THEN my husband called to speak with them directly. And in a cowardly manner, NO ONE got on the phone to speak with my husband. Is this how you treat your patients? Unacceptable. YOU ARE A FAILURE! Go on Google and you will see that other people dislike this place too and give bad reviews. It's one month since that pilates instructor got her paws on me and I'm still not feeling as good as I was beforehand. DO NOT GO HERE! These people are inexperienced and not passionate about their work at all. The "doctor" who worked on me was telling me about her divorce. These people care more about their social lives than their patients. I tell everyone how bad this place is. Other doctors shake their heads when I explain what happened here. One month later I'm still shaking my head. It's truly baffling. I have many friends in Livingston, West Caldwell, and Little Falls and told them to spread the word, not to go to this facility. I've felt wonderful and taller after every session I've had with her even when I've had a headache. I've gone in with a headache and left with less or no pain which for me is a triumph. Since I have gut issues, I've gone to her bloated and left without any distention of my abdomen or bloating sensation. Separate from her Rolfing skills, she's just a nice person and calm. Rolfing with David and Rebekah Frome…read more When I was 22 years old, upon hire at a local company, I was examined by the company doctor, who was an osteopath. After my examination he said that I had the spine of a man in his late forties. My spine was indeed curved, my shoulders were a definitely hunched and my neck and head pushed forward. Subsequently throughout the years, consciously straightening my posture helped ... sort of ... as long as I kept a constant vigilance and applied effort in standing straight. But that was not sustainable. Exercise strengthened me but did not change my posture. I went through the series with David Frome in 2000. By session three I could feel my shoulders move back and my chest open. When I say that I mean that my shoulders laid further back, they had a new resting place, one that did not require effort to keep them there. My hips were more in alignment and the accentuated lower curve in my spine lessened and became more normal - all without applying muscle effort on my part to be that way. I was relaxed and straighter... In 2011 I returned and had a Rolfing series with Rebekah Frome. My posture further improved. Like David, Rebekah was looking at the entirety of me, from my feet to my head, orchestrating treatment, adjusting the fascia, doing the process to shift my body back to center. At the end of each session walking out my energy was very high. Some alignments I notice, some of the subtle ones she made, I do not personally visually see, but a year later I am aware that I am more comfortable sitting and walking in my body. During sessions, both David and Rebekah 'tuned into me' with a skilled and caring eye. Working on me, having me stand up and checking me, and having me lie or lay down for more work over and over again. It occurs to me that we live in our bodies and they structurally distort as we go through life. In some (or large) part we derive our sense of self through our bodies. That is a big part of who we think we are. Through aligning the body through Rolfing, my energy increased and I'm standing straighter and feel more at home in my body. Others have noticed the change in me as well. My posture is not perfect but the hunch is gone and I stand straighter without applying effort to do so. Yep... Happy!

When I started my search for doctor options again this year, I found out about Dr. Joshi via Lapiplasty.com. After some clicking around on his office's page, I found out he took my insurance. I had known about the procedure for a long time and thought he would be a great option for my care. I was proven right. His office staff was great, very polite and professional. While the office does sell orthotics, no one even tried to push them as an option. Their goal really is to help fix the root problem, not put a "bandaid" on it so a patient has to keep coming back. When we sat down, he realized I had existing knowledge of the procedure, aftercare, etc., and agreed it was the best option for me. He ultimate goal when it comes to patients is to fix the problem, not use temporary "fixes." He was great; answered my questions (even the silly ones), he didn't rush the appointment in any way, refused to brush off any topic, and explained every step of the process before surgery. He really is a high-quality doctor, and makes it clear his goal is to help and work as a team with his patients. I am so excited to move forward in the process of fixing my foot with him. My only issue was getting to the office. The GPS kept saying "Take the next right." Normally this is onto a street. However, this time it meant into the office parking lot. We arrived at the outpatient surgical facility at 6AM, the surgery started at 8 and we were home at 6PM the SAME DAY! The PT folks even had her practice going up and down stairs before we left. The incision was small and pain was minimal for that type of procedure. Recovery time is significant of course, but she is progressing nicely, thanks to Dr. Hartzband and his excellent staff. I am convinced that they are the best in their field.

That, to me, means that they were never reattached. My knee makes a lot noise when I walk, and it hurts. Went back a few times, and the "doctor" said, he'd give me a new knee, but I'd have to pay for it. Is that some kind of a joke???? I do not know that the other reviews are on the same "Hartzband", but they can NOT be speaking of the one that I went to in Paramus NJ. He has NO personality, and worse yet, doesn't look at you when he speaks. He looks over you, around you, but not at you.
