I initially saw her when dealing with Frozen Shoulder, having been referred first to a big box PT practitioner who gave me a band and strengthening exercises, making my shoulder worse. What I needed, and what Carter knew, is that my shoulder needed stretching, not strengthening. I stayed the course of being stretched by Carter in her office and stretching on my own at home with the exercises she sent home with me and gradually got better. Each new level of recovery was met expertly with new stretches and I regained the use of my shoulder joint and arm. It was a no brainer who I would see when I was involved in a rear end collision nearly 2 years ago as well as with the 2 times I have been hit since. Carter's treatments are full range from hands on stretching to the use of props as well as applied heat or ice and TENS-unit stimulation and craniosacral work. When some stretch doesn't help, Carter keeps trying until we find one that does. Carter is patient, firm, empathetic and friendly. Her knowledge of anatomy is vast. After stem cell treatment on my right knee (March 2021), I signed up for Aquatic Therapy at One to One (Boca Clinic). Lucas treated me with the highest quality of physical therapy in a heated pool; his expertise in Aquatic Therapy is second to none! He was extremely patient and knowledgeable with guided exercises in a heated pool. Firsthand, I learned how the warm water allowed me to move my knee with increased flexibility, less pain, and a broader range of motion. I loved every minute of Aquatic Therapy; I hated getting out of the pool at the end of each session! Unfortunately, the stem cell treatment did not kill the pain in my knee. As a last resort, my orthopedic surgeon recommended a complete knee replacement. Successively, I received a total knee replacement in March (2022). Since then, I have received ongoing physical therapy two times weekly from Dan (One to One, Boca Clinic). I can't rave enough about Dan! He called this place after finding this place through his insurance he gave them a call and interrogated them, which is his standard procedure. His first impression? The receptionist picked up and sounded confident, a plus in his books. Well the result of that call is that he became a patient! He has been here about 6 times. He comes in, signs in and doesn't even get a chance to sit down as they already call him in! The only person who is ever in the waiting room for more than 2 minutes is me! I've seen multiple different patients come in and they are all treated the same. The ladies are kind and courtesy and have a bond with each patient. They are even kind to me, offering me coffee on some days. And they spend about 1.5 hours with my fiancee, who is recovering from a rotator cuff surgery. They give him a heated massage in the beginning and towards the end make him do exercises in their exercise room, which has a couple of flat beds, weights, a lat pull down machine, stair stepper, treadmill and other equipment. They take therapy seriously! Parking is a breeze, restrooms don't need keys, scheduling is simple. I and he have no conplaints about this place. They even have a fresh newspaper and ample magazines! I think I have a total of 10 sessions between March and July. The first appointment I told the receptionist I had not co-pay for PT as I called my insurance company. I had an annual deductible of $39. They continued to bill me and I would ask at every appointment what they were billing me for. It ended up being an almost $200 bill. They don't honor their cancellation policy and when I complained about how bad their billing services, they tacked on $55.00 on a statement I had to asked for and was 3 months late. Don't go here as they don't have adequate staff and the owner is the biller. She also had her dog in there one day when I came in and it almost bit me. She didn't apologize to me until I was leaving.
