She has a roomy fitting room that was adequate, however, I was surprised there were no noticeable hooks to hang clothes while trying them on. Tina is friendly and seems to be well versed in her craft. 18 years downtown if I translated correctly. While she understands some English, Spanish is definitely the preferred language. She requested about 10 days for the turn around. This worked for me, so I didn't need to ask for an earlier date. After picking up the Tux it was a better fit, but not the "best". I got a little lost with the translation to Spanish, but was later aided by her assistant who spoke great English. Due to the tux having a certain detail (vertical line) it was explained not much else could be done to take it in without compromising that look. I understood and took them at their world. Tina seems to know her craft well, but maybe due to the limitations of the piece could not get the more customized fit that I was hoping. I have a second less technical piece that may need altering soon, I may give her another try.

I am writing this review on behalf of my best friend who brought her wedding dress to this…read moreestablishment to be altered for her wedding and as the maid of honor I felt it was my duty to inform any other potential customers of the customer service we experienced. Her appointment was scheduled for November 2nd at 11AM. We arrived at the location which is an apartment in a huge condominium with very limited street parking (to be expected since we live in Miami). We parked in a parking lot located across the building. We were never informed of the limited parking or that the minimum parking fee would be $20. Again, none of this would be that big of an issue if it were not for how we were treated. After paying a $20 parking fee upon arriving for the FIRST appointment we were told she had other people coming soon and the entire appointment was rushed, we were out in about 15-20 minutes (her website states that for wedding alterations it is a 45-minute appointment). The seamstress was not prepared. She only showed us ONE lace material option because she stated that she needed more time to look for more. We had scheduled that appointment of Nov 2nd on October 22nd, so I am not sure how much more time she needed to have more lace samples available to view. Her website advertises a FREE 45-minute wedding alteration appointment and once they are done with the process and study the alterations needed, they will give you the delivery time and final quote as prices vary per piece. What it does NOT disclose is that they will charge you for every appointment, with a completely separate fee for the alteration AND a fee for the time it takes the seamstress to go through her storage and locate fabric samples. My friend needed sleeves added to her dress along with taking it in a bit. Her second appointment was Nov 13th at 4:30 PM. She was called to see if she could come in sooner, my friend arrived at 4PM and was once again rushed through the appointment. The total she was given was $1000.00. My friend paid, but left feeling dissatisfied with the entire process so far. After sleeping on it, she called the next day to inform the seamstress that she had changed her mind. She showed up to get her dress along with her refund and was given unnecessary attitude and was ONLY refunded $750.00. My friend felt outraged due to the fact that the seamstresses stated she was charging her for 2 appointments that lasted less than 20 minutes although the seamstress had not done any alterations on the dress. Along with an additional $75.00 fee for the "work it took to find additional lace samples". Again, none of that had been disclosed, we were unaware that just 2 appointments and lace samples that she told us to give her more time to locate would amount to a $250.00 fee! This was a horrible experience, and I hope no other bride has to go through the same treatment.

Then, I broke my foot so I ended up settling on something that would cover my unsightly boot. The dress had big balloon sleeves that were extremely long on me and ended with an ugly elastic at the wrist, so I knew I had to do something with them. I own a blouse with similar sleeves that end in a cuff, so I took the blouse with me when I dropped off the dress. Ana is lovely, honest and fair. She explained that it might not be possible to make the sleeves look like the blouse, especially in just a few days, and I appreciated her candor. She charged me a fair price and I left hoping the dress would look as nice as possible. I picked the dress up today and was amazed by how good the sleeves look. She made the cuff look exactly like the ones on the blouse and now it looks like a completely different dress! I am SO grateful to Ana, and will ABSOLUTELY be back! I asked Martha if the bow could be removed. Not only did she remove that unsightly bow, but she altered the back with two buttons instead of three which gave the dress an even lovelier feminine look.
