I was a bit hesitant to get my daughters dress altered when I saw the place, but it was recommended…read moreby the boutique I bought the dress so I trusted they knew what they were doing. I should have gone with my gut and walked away. There were red flags that I ignored as well. I blame myself for not listening to my inner voice, don't do the same. My daughters dress is an evening gown. Lots of tule with the back of the dress flowing longer than the front. They were suppose to hem the dress. I was assured that they can do this service and was told to pick up in 10 days. When I went to pick up the dress was not even worked on yet. That was the fist red flag. The second was when I was told to come pack two days later that it will be ready. If it took only two days to hem, why did they say ten days initially. Anyway, went to pick up again and the dress was butchered. I paid 185$ for alterations and the bottom of the dress was visibly uneven. So bad that I now have to take somewhere else for them to have it fixed. Please be aware, they may e good for simple hems but do yourself a favor and take your gowns elsewhere.

I did the bustle too but that's probably the only thing I would change my mind on as the bustle wouldn't stay and I ended up having to hold the train all night. In all fairness, my friend had her wedding a week before and her bustle broke during her wedding (I ended up seeing a bustle loop onto her dress myself) so it just seems bustles can be hit or miss. So I came to Lily's and she worked magic! She was able to hem my pants perfectly which decreased the creasing in the back. There was an indent in my right shoulder and she was able to make it more flush and even with my left shoulder. Pictures are worth a thousands words. I can't thank Lily for the great job she did! And I'm picky, so when things are not done right, I am not a happy camper, considering I've paid good money for it. I've been to neighbourhood alteration places around the different areas that I have lived in around Toronto, and honestly, they have failed miserably. I don't believe in going to drycleaning businesses for alterations anymore - they ended up ruining a pair of $300 pants. These individuals own sewing machines, but do not possess technique. Even when I questioned them, they said they could do it. It became a bad discussion in the end, leaving me a dissatisfied customer. I've also been to highly-rated seamstresses and tailors in the downtown areas of Toronto (I won't mention names, but King W. and Yonge street are the locations). I'm not saying they weren't good - they were. But I also don't believe in paying ridiculous prices. $30 to hem a skirt from Old Navy. $20 to hem pants - no lining, not original hem. I had to alter a coat I bought, and it ended up being $80. All prices are before taxes, and like I said, I alter almost everything, so I hope you can understand why it is frustrating to have to pay high prices. A friend recommended me to Four Seas. It is about a 15 min drive for me, so it is out of the way, but I thought I would try it, as it seems nothing has worked for me thus far. Well, the tailor, Mr. Ma, is probably one of the nicest tailors you will meet. He told me he was professionally trained in Shanghai (which is known for tailoring), and specializes in women's clothing. Not only is he experienced, he is able to provide me with his expertise on how he will alter something, and the prices I think are very fair, and I have thus brought in quite a few items to alter to my satisfaction, and will continue to do so, regardless of the drive. I'm very surprised to see there have not been any reviews, so I hope this will help bring more happy customers to Four Seasons. I hope you will be as happy as I have been!

They are working out splendidly just as I had thought they would do. The workmanship is suberb as usual & I was charged only the current going rate. No one can ask for more in my opinion. Again I have never had any problem with the workmanship done here by Experts Tailoring. I have only good recommendations to give for this firm & the service was prompt & courteous. I shall now rest my case that these tailors are the very best to be found for both quality of tailoring workmanship & speed of work completion bar none in our locality. The workers are friendly and try their best to resolve any complaints to the satisfaction of the customers; they have a number of regulars. Hubby had them dry clean 2 of his suits. They do all their work on their premises (dry cleaning and alterations) so service is super quick. The suits came back clean and pressed. At these prices with good service, we're definitely coming back again and again. UPDATE: had them do a rush job dry cleaning and shortening a formal gown. They were super speedy (ready for pick up in two days), professional, friendly and the gown fit and looked beautiful!
