I am so glad I went to Jasmine for my alterations. I found her on Yelp and Google with great reviews, and the stars do not lie. She is amazing and talented at what she does but beyond that. She is a very wonderful person inside and out. I came in with my bridesmaid dress. I needed it to be hemmed, I wanted to know if she can add a split, and if it was possible to remove the inner lining because the wedding would take place in the desert and I did not want to be too hot. I also wanted her to hem the dress to flat as that will be what I would be changing into when pictures are done. She said she can do everything I want and more...and then she asked me, 'If I hem your dress to flats, when you wear your heels it will look too short and the dress will drape weirdly in pictures. If I add a split, the fabric and cut was not meant to accommodate one, I can but it will look weird and out of place, and the inner lining is so that the bottom has volume, it I cut it, it might make the top bulkier looking. I can do all that for you. But what do you think the bride will want? She spent a year planning her dream wedding, probably spent 10k on the photographer and videographer, and probably 1k on make up, and thousands on dinner and entertainment on the entire wedding...do you think she would agree to what you are asking? When the wedding is over and the photos are printed, do you think your bride will be happy or ashamed to share those pictures?" I had to laugh but she was right. She reiterated that she could do whatever I wanted but I should also consider the bride. So in effect, I brought the heels the very next day, we took video and pictures to send to the bride and maid of honor to get their opinion and the way that the dress was made, a split would look weird. She said I could endure a couple of hours just for the bride. After she completed alterations, she press the dress, and reminded me several times to bring a long garment bag to protect the dress. She even set an appointment for me days before the wedding to do a 'fitting' just to make sure I was happy and the bride and maid of honor was happy. Needless to say, she made several new friends, a dream come true for the bride, a loyal customer, and this amazing review! read more

I walked into the business with my wedding dress asking for a quote and she basically told me I couldn't afford her and just came off as very rude. She also took my dress out and then didn't even bother to put it back into its bag. All I asked her to do was to add a bustle to it and maybe taken the top a little bit and not even altering the width just to like remove some weird fabric that was on it. read more

I happened to come across Alterations by Jasmine when I was driving a friend home. I took a chance and brought a couple of pants I needed altered for work. By far the best experience I have ever had. Excellent customer service, and Jasmine explains in detail how she will be altering your clothes, why some fabrics require her to use different machines, and more. The cost to alter my pants was worth the price for the excellent service. I also enjoy having quick conversations with her. Such a sweet woman. read more

I went in to have my son Inlaw's badges sewn on for his new uniform. She refused to do it saying because I had already used the iron on and to do a quick fix she refused said she needs new badges and said no Thank god I found someone near by and she did it in less than 5 minutes don't even waste your time with her. What a waste read more

I dropped by Jasmine's to have my bridesmaid dress altered with a tight turnaround of two weeks. She delivered and then some - she suggested I wear taller heels to make my posture better, how to walk, etc. Jasmine was clear with how payment would be upfront before I picked up the dress, which I appreciated so there was no surprises on the cost of the alteration. The quality and value she brought to my dress is top notch, and I really enjoyed getting to know her as a person. Supporting local has never been easier. I highly recommend Jasmine for any of your alteration needs! read more

Jasmine is a magician! I had an Indian wedding coming up and had gotten some grooms clothes that were nice but just didn't fit right. Jasmine turned them from a 5 to a 10. What I most appreciated about her was her honesty, even if that meant turning away work. For one example, she told me it would be cheaper and look better if I reordered in a different size, and then we worked on that piece. She has exceptional attention to detail and would not accept a final product that didn't meet her A+ standards. Even when I was the one who lost weight before the big day, she reworked the outfits again and got it all done in time. Hands down, my favorite tailor and worth the price. read more

WARNING! Went here for a consultation on wedding dress alterations. Quoted me $60 per sleeve to shorten them and $300 to hem it. She also stuck large safety pins in my dress that made holes and acted like my wedding date (6 weeks out) was pushing it on time and pressured me into hurrying for a decision. Went to L & A Tailoring in North Park to get a counter quote and he informed me of the safety pins being too large and charged me $120 for both sleeves and hemming together. Also had no problem with my wedding date. Highly recommend L & A Tailoring over Jasmine's. read more

Excellent service , the owner is very skilled' she can handle the most difficult alterations!

I called on the 9th. I was eloping on the 22nd in Moab, Arches National park. I was on a plane on the 19th which meant I needed my dress ready by the 17th at the latest. The lady I spoke to laughed and berated me about "waiting last minute". She didn't even offer a fitting to see what needed to be done. Ultimately, I was referred to Chiyos Tailors in Encinitas by a friend who recently had her wedding dress tailored. They were VERY friendly and had the dress ready by the 14th! Go there instead. I'll never know how skilled "Jasmines team" are since they had TERRIBLE customer service and didn't seem interested in my business. read more

Jasmine is GODSEND. Literally love her for altering all my pieces - which I'll attach a photo once I'm back from the event I needed my garments for. She does everything alone, but manages to get your items to you on time; incredibly impressive human. I absolutely felt at ease like I was talking to a family member or aunt. It was just so fun being open about what I wanted & her being extremely attentive. I've already come back with more items, & out of all my alterations I would say Jasmine has been by far my favorite person to go to! read more

I've used Jasmine's services for alterations for a special occasion dress as well as countless pants hemmed. I've been going to Jasmine for 2 years to adjust the length of all types of pants, completely refitting an oversized coat, and fixing the bust of a dress that was NOT as pictured on Amazon (pictures below). I'm sure there's been other projects but I have been super satisfied with her work every time! She is so warm and outgoing and very transparent about the time she needs for services and helps me understand the work that is required for my requests. I'm not sure about other tailors, but I feel like I'm paying a fair price for l my needs. Highly recommend her!! read more

I wish I could give Jasmine 10 stars. She's the best in San Diego, and trust me when I say I'm picky with all my clothes, no one tops her understanding for fitting and vision. She knows what you want before you can even tell her. Recently, I had an outfit in my mind and the pants were the last piece. She helped me bring it to life. It isn't my first time coming here, but she's never let me down. To top off her amazing work, she's always finished my pants the same day. She's also the absolute sweetest human being, and the joy she sheds when she sees you wearing the final piece puts the biggest smile on my face. read more

I brought in a bridesmaid dress to Jasmine a week prior to the wedding date. Jasmine made me feel right at home, she prefers to schedule appointments with her clients to allow each one a window of time to go over everything they need with their alterations. Jasmine doesn't like to rush her clients, and I felt that she genuinely cared about my dress needs. I was so impressed by the result of my dress. It was done before the wedding date and the length it was altered to was absolutely perfect. Jasmine had me try on the final result and walk in the heels I planned to wear to ensure everything was right. I cannot recommend Jasmine enough. I am definitely coming here for all of my future alterations. read more

I was looking for a wedding dress tailor 6 months ago and I am so glad I found jasmine. I had bought a wedding dress that was 6 sizes too big but was the perfect style and she listened to my needs and went above and beyond for my dress. She was able to take it from a size 10 to a size 4 in 3 months. She even added a super fancy bustle to my original dress to make it more elegant. My husband was also able to get his suit tailored by her 2 weeks before our wedding. She does excellent work and really knows what she is doing. I highly recommend Jasmine for wedding and suit alterations. She gets very busy during wedding season, so book as far ahead as you can for those types of alterations. read more

Top Notch Dry Cleaner! Look no further. This establishment takes me back to the days where quality work and customer service meant everything to keeping a business open. Ms. Jasmine is the real deal. She takes pride in her work. She is committed to doing the best job possible for ensuring your clothes look brand new, every time. She works with only organic products and cleans your clothes right! For $20 i got my pants shortened. I thought this was a lot but if it was a quality job it could be worth it. The pants are way too short and look rediculous.
