DO NOT GO HERE. On a Monday, I brought in a skirt to be hemmed - not complicated. I balked at the high price quoted ($50) but was willing to pay it as I was leaving on a trip and my regular tailor wasn't available. She told me it would be ready by 11 am on Thursday. I arrived at 11:20 and she had no recollection of the skirt and couldn't find it. We searched the store together, and I finally found the skirt piled among other clothes in the back of the store. She said to come back in an hour. I returned in a little more than an hour and it was done. A good business person would have apologized for the inconvenience and her disorganization and given me a discount on her already high price. But no - no acknowledgement of my lost time, inconvenience, and frankly my panic when I thought my newly purchased skirt has disappeared. I will never go back. read more

Really awful experience - brought in a leather jacket to get a patch sewn on over a damaged area on the left shoulder. The patch was new unused and the damage was small - the size of a quarter. Aida quoted $15 - good deal! When my wife picked the jacket up - we saw how butchered the jacket was. It looks like Aida tried to glue or iron on the patch in one area and then removed it to move to another area? She also caused small rips above and below the patch in areas that previously had no damage. I cannot begin to fathom how this could even happen. If you couldn't make the repair - just return the patch and jacket and no harm done. But to damage my jacket worse AND charge us for the "repair"? Terrible. We will never be back. read more

Aida's is local to us, right up the street so we headed there for alterations. We brought in a dress, in which she needed to hymn. She told us because of the "material" it would be $60 bc the "material"breaks the needles, and that it would take her some time to do (again, bc of the material, it's more complicated) She gave us todays date to pick up ;2 weeks lapsed since we took it in). We go to get the dress today and she can't find it, doesn't remember us whatsoever and needs the receipt. She's digging everywhere trying to find the dress. Low and behold, We look at her rack, and there is the dress, hanging in the exact same spot where she hung it when we left two weeks ago, and as of the pick up date (today) it hadn't even been started! She tried to blame the holidays... and offered no discount, no apology, just said to come back at 5pm. Not to mention, when we initially went in, she seemed completely bothered by us, and wanted to rush us out. Long story short, I won't go back! read more

The entire time I was there to have my pants hemmed, she was not very nice and kind of rude. At one time she actually said, "if the pants end up too short, that's on you". Terrible, terrible customer service. Brought a sport coat in to be shortened, was measured and as I was thinking over the cost of the alteration, I was told to go someplace else where they would do a 'cheap job' and I was literally shooed away by the owners hands. Quick unnecessary reaction by the tailor that was very uncalled for. There clearly was some miscommunication, but there was no misunderstanding that I could not have been treated more rudely. I told her that I live in the area, I came to her because she is a local business, but this was a poor, poor marker on her and this shop. read more

I brought a 45 years old jean jacket for an elbow patch and a pair of Guess jeans to replace the front zipper. Wow! The elbow patch looks like it can blend in with the fabric perfectly. The zipper for the jeans works excellent, and you can't tell that it jas been replaced. This place delivers great work! read more

I called her on short notice for alterations for a high waisted skirt and she delivered within 24hrs. Initially I was iffy because she doesn't have the best English, and she wasn't understanding me. But her son grabbed the phone and helped both of us out. I was nervous to go in but happy I did. She took her time and made suggestions after I tried on they skirt. I have taken some complicated pieces to her, including a wool coat with lining and an old prom dress with extra material in the back. Everything has always been done well and I have been happy with the items I have gotten back. When she realized that the hem for my wool coat wasn't straight when I tried it on, she kept it an extra two days of no charge to me to fix it. Their English is a little problematic, but their work is great. I plan on taking my wedding dress here, so I will update after that experience. read more

The woman was able to take out a little bit in the bosom area on a dress I received at a ball gown giveaway. Another place I went to said that it was not possible. Because of her lovely work on that, I was able to breathe during the USMC Birthday Ball without a little skin flab hanging off the back of my arms! She also fixed the botched hem on a silk dress I got altered from another place. Now, I will head over and get my suit jackets fitted! She will see a lot of me since I am only 4'10". I brought my wedding dress here to be shortened, it was an absolutely stressful experience. Because of the design of the dress, it need to be taken in from the waist rather than the hem. She took in only the front of the dress and left the back untouched. In doing so, it created swag shaped creases on the sides of the dress. When we ask her to shorten the back also, she said because there is a zipper at the back of the dress, to shortened the back she had to detach the zipper first, shorten the waist and attach again. It is a 7 layer dress, she does not do it. Both my friends and I were so shocked at the ridiculous answer. She originally offered me a reasonable price to gain my business but I was not aware that meant she is not going to do her job properly. No matter how we try to communicate, she just keep repeating that it is not a job that she does. We couldn't figure out that she refuse to shorten the back of the dress whether because it was too much work or she is lacking the skill in doing it. Then we proposed to her that if she doesn't want to shorten the back of the dress, could there be any other way to eliminate the creases. She basically expressed there is nothing she could do, we just have to deal with it. (As a bride, the last thing you want is for someone to ruin your wedding dress especially since you spend so much time and energy to get it.) And now there is no time to go to another tailor to fix it. At the end I have to came up a solution. We asked her to undo the work she did in the front of the dress - to lengthen it back to the original look and I would just buy wedding shoes with higher heels. But because she had cut off the extra material, she could only lengthen the dress a little. In the end we still had to pay her full price, because we were too tired of being frustrated in communicating with her and just want to just get it done asap. And this imperfection was recorded on my wedding photos for ever. So if you have a nice wedding dress with many layers, don't go there. It is not their specialty, they don't have much experience even though their advertisement claim to alter wedding dresses. read more

But Lana's work is excellent, timely, and reasonable and she is gracious and lovely. I was terribly saddened to learn today when I took in some new pieces that her husband, who also worked with her, passed away four months ago. I have come to her a few times, and not only is she a lovely lady, but does an amazing job. She does most of the work all on her own, and with that being said, it's pretty remarkable what she can accomplish in a few days. She is reliable, has never lost anything (which I have had in the past) and recognizes her customers after one visit. Her prices are beyond reasonable, and again, especially for a tailoring shop with one person working, maybe two sometimes. I could go on and on, but I cannot recommend her tailoring skills and prices any more. She explains the problem that needs to be fixed, before you can tell her, and does an excellent job. I had a slight rip in my jeans, not ripped all the way through and was about half the size of the stitchings in the picture. She returned my jeans to me looking horrendous like this. Who "fixes" pants like this? I went back and asked if she could fix it. She refused and said there was nothing she could do, and also refused to give me a refund for the horrible job she did. read more

I brought my wedding dress here to get taken in. I originally went to the dry cleaners that also offered alterations. It's a family business so I got my dress cleaned and fixed with them. My dress was a 12 and I was an 8. She did a marvelous job and the dress looked like it was custom made for my body. Well I guess it was. I had a couple requests that she did do. The only problem that I had was her comments and attitude. It felt like I was burdening her when I asked her to let out my skirt a little because I had a hard time sitting. I did want it tight but I wasn't comfortable. She also kept telling me how she spent a whole day on it and it was so heavy. I almost flipped out when she sewed a silver metal hook in the middle of my train and just told me it would be fine. I came back and was going to tell her j wasn't going to pay for that and she brought out a white hook and sewed it in my butt instead. But it took me to say something and looking displeased. I gave her a belt to sew on and she had only done it half way and try to give it back to me. I made her sew it on the spot. I took my dress without any other changes. I went home resewed the bustle hook myself so it wasn't showing and redid my belt. I should have done that without getting charges by her. Needless to say the dress taken in was great.. Everything else eh. I don't think I will be coming back. read more

After buying a gently used rental Tuxedo from Tuxedo Discounter downtown, I brought it here for significant alterations. For $67, I had the pants hemmed and the legs narrowed, I had the shirt sleeves shortened the sleeves and body fitted, and I had the back and waist of the jacket taken in. I am really happy with the results - I now have a very well fitting tuxedo that cost less than $200 total. They are very nice and there is PLENTY of parking at the strip mall so no worries there. I will definitely be back the next time I need major or minor alterations. read more

I went in and asked if my clothing (several items) would be ready by a certain date because I was going out of town and needed these specific items. The women reassured me they would be ready for pick up without a problem. So, I went in to pick up my clothing the day before my family and I were leaving out of town and the same woman said the items were not ready because their machine was broken. I was so upset because they didn't call to let me know. I had to go out and by a new suit for my husband because I had left all of his there and he needed them for this business trip. When we came back from the trip, I went in to pick up my items and asked for a discount because of the inconvenience. The woman was so rude and told me it was not her fault the machine broke. I replied it is not MY fault and yet I went out and spent money on new clothing. I told her that if she did not give me a discount I will never come back and will tell all my friends and neighbors not to come here. She replied that SHE DID NOT CARE! In the mean time she had rang up my credit card for full price!!! I refused to sign it and she opened the register and threw a $5 dollar bill at me!!! SO RUDE!!
