The woman who runs it is amazing--while I don't know her name, I truly appreciate the care and attention she puts into every piece. She has done several alterations for me and my family, and every single one has turned out beautifully. She handled a formal dress for my daughter and delivered exactly what we asked for--it fit perfectly and looked stunning. She really listens and understands what you want, which makes all the difference. As someone on the shorter side, she's also altered multiple pairs of pants for me, always getting the length just right. On top of that, she repaired a zipper on a work sweater that had tricky stitching, and even fixed a pair of tailored dress shorts from EXPRESS that needed restitching. Second review! Went back to pick up my pants for a second time. Worse than the first time! Ana threw out 10 different reasons why they weren't fitting, including that I was moving too much during the measurements. Claims that she told me the first time I went they might not be able to get them to to fit the way I wanted them to. Which she did not. But why even try at all then? So they could charge me a ridiculous amount of money and say you can't pick up the items that still don't fit without paying your balance. Don't ever go here! Was looking to have some patches sewn onto uniform shirts. Visited several different alteration/tailor shops & quoted prices ranging from $8-12 per patch, which is already extremely expensive. And this place? $14.00 per patch! With tax, it would have cost me $120.00 just to have this work done! Proceeded to visit another tailor on Main Street who did the job for $5.00 per patch. It's not surgery, simply affixing a few patches to some shirts. I'm also a small business owner, and understand the cost of overhead and associated expenses, but this is flat out price gouging. The owner may post a rebuttal to my review, bottom line is you're overcharging customers... many of whom are military, for a service that can be done for 1/2 the cost. Do better. read more

I've used their services a handful of times from just. Simple hem to fixing my whole pants to make them fit. They charge around $24 for the pants hem and about 10 I believe to fix my zipper. It was a bout a week wait to get my pants back but it's understandable. It's two sweet ladies working so patience is a must. Will become a regular here. Great work. read more

I had a yellow sweater that I have had for over 15 years and it had so many little snags and holes. The shoulder part just finally started to unravel. Most people would have thrown it out but it's one of my favorite sweaters. I can't find this color anymore. My husband brought it into this lovely shop and 2 weeks later he brought it back to me all fixed. He brought it in to fix the shoulder part and they even fixed all the little holes. The women were very kind and were able to accommodate my quick turnaround. Will definitely be coming back here! The only thing is depending which way you're coming from, it might be difficult to navigate getting into the parking lot because of the drive thru line from Starbucks next door. A friend of mine recommended this place when I needed a seamstress so I brought my dress here to get altered. The ladies at the shop are so sweet and gave me professional suggestions for my dress. One thing that could improve the shop is if they upgrade the curtain dressing room to a more private space because sometimes the curtains move/open up and you could accidentally expose yourself. I went to Chula Vista Tailor with a simple alteration which they performed well. $45.00 for shortening a hem was not good value. Disabled customers should be aware that the entrance was very "disabled unfriendly. I had to send my spouse to pick up the work. I refused to return because it was too hard to get in the shop. Our teenager ordered a dress online and needed the sides hemmed. We walked in on a Tuesday and we're scheduled for a Friday pick up. A smaller studio with ample free parking. A single changing room partitioned with black out curtains. A full length mirror and lengthy counter space for customer transactions. Cash and credit cards accepted. No waiting room or public restroom. Friendly and professional service. Turnaround time is dependent on seamstress and service requested. When we arrived the owner was assisting a customer with several brand new pairs of jeans. Another male was busy at a sewing machine station. A female approached the counter and politely asked what we needed (hemming) and when we needed it (Friday). Having very limited alteration knowledge I inquired on the requested service, level of detail required, and cost if time wasn't a barrier. The seamstress assisted with her fitting and charged a nominal fee. Minus one star as we were initially denied service (without viewing the actual dress) based on our request for a 72 hour turnaround. read more

I was in a bind and needed a last minute alternation for my bridesmaid dress. When I say last minute, I mean 2 days before the event. My Bridesmaid dress had a train I wanted to get rid of and the dress itself was about 3-4 inches too long. I contacted them and they asked me to bring in my dress the same day! I needed to get my dress hemmed and left my dress at the shop for 4-6 business days just to go pick it up and it not be fully finished. I got home the night before the big event and found my dress was not fully done. I rushed over the next day asked them for help and instead of right away apologizing the owner said "oh no, I saw the seamstress work on it" then the seamstress proceeded to just argue she had completed and not fully taking responsibility for her actions and made me feel as if I was in the wrong for needing to get my dressed fixed. Honestly wished they would have refunded me for such a stressful experience. She told me it be 5 mins but didn't even seem to want to fix it. Finally I got my dressed fixed and she ended up apologizing but all the seamstress did was argue.
