I could not be more impressed with Alterations by Diane. I first contacted Diane in 2024 but she was booked up. She kindly gave me several other seamstress to contact for which I was grateful. It's 2025 and this year we made it in time. Diane did NOT disappoint. I am more than impressed with tailoring skills. My daughter is thrilled with her prom dress. Diane had the dress ready in amazing time which will allow us the time needed to add the crystals before the dance. Diane is a gracious, kind and very competent lady. When I asked my friends on Facebook who they would recommend to alter my bridesmaid dress, Alterations by Diane became the clear choice! I contacted Diane and asked if she could accommodate me for an October 4th wedding. She thoroughly checked her calendar and made 100% sure that she could fit me in. She took me on as her last client until the following month. When I went to Diane's home, she had a private area for me to get into my dress and she swiftly pinned me up and explained everything that she would be doing to the dress. She told me to call her on a specific date to check on the progress of my dress and said she would call if their were any issues. She actually ended up calling me as soon as the dress was done and I headed out that week to pick it up. The dress was perfect. The length was spot on and the straps never slipped off my shoulders or showed my undergarments. She did GREAT! Diane has been in the game for YEARS and was actually my family seamstress growing up. Diane quickly and wonderfully altered a dress for me in May 2022. Her work was not only perfect but also fair in price and ridiculously quick! I thought I only needed the dress shorter in length but since she's an expert, and I am not, she knew we needed to address the bra cups and also make sure the fit in the bust and waist were appropriate. Diane is a miracle worker! I brought her a dress that was completely mis-sized and she had to add about 6 inches around to get it zipped up! She was able to reconstruct the dress and it was seamlessly beautiful...you'd never have guessed alterations were done at all other than fitting me perfectly! She was great to work with and so very kind given my predicament! Even fit me in last minute since the dress came in late with only 3 weeks until the wedding date! If I could give her 0 stars I would. I have to say I'm extremely disappointed with Diane's work. I brought my wedding dress in early September for my November 10th wedding and 2 months later nothing has been completed other than a hem. My dress is strapless and needed to be taken it since it's huge on busy area. When I tried it on, it's still huge, nothing had been done. She proceeded to find excuses when I asked her what had happened and apologized and said that she didn't know and that in order for my strapless dress to fit it would have to have straps. What? I told her I was so confused and said that during our previews fitting she never mentioned any of this. Everything we talked about during my fittings went in one ear and onto the other. As she tried to find excuses and pin my dress to see what she could fix, her finger started bleeding and got onto my dress. She kept pinning and getting blood on my dress and then proceeded to grab a bleach pen and start cleaning, as she made a bigger mess. This is the worst service I've ever received and now I'm less than a month away from my wedding with no altered dress. I started crying, and proceeded to pay what I owed her for what she said she did, took my dress and left. I've read so many positive reviews before calling her, which made me trust she'd do a good job. This is seriously a bride's nightmare. I've changed my schedule to fit hers. She's called me to cancelled fitting several times but this is just too much! read more

I had an amazing experience at Diane's. From the start she was kind and seemed to genuinely care about the alterations I needed for my wedding dress. I am getting married the 1st of September and with the number of wedding dresses she had when I dropped mine off I didn't even expect to get it back until August as I knew she had several she needed to finish for July first. I was amazed when she called and told me it was ready just 2 weeks after I dropped it off. When I picked it up all of the alterations were perfect, I couldn't be happier with the results. I will highly recommend her to everyone I know and will definitely go back if I ever need alterations again. read more
