With such a disaster of a dress, they worked their magic and it looked as great as it could given the circumstances (I mean this dress needed some massive fixing)! Fast forward to now - took another bridesmaid dress in to get altered and they called 2 days later letting me know it was done! Impressive!!! And of course the alteration looked great. Scheduling with them is a breeze - you can call OR Facebook message them (the option I chose). Super easy. They are also being very safe with COVID - only allowing one customer in at a time (hence the appointment scheduling), hand sanitizer right when you enter as well as on the counter, and everyone is masked.

Or as elusive as the wind. But alas-- I now know someone and you do, too. Stephanie's Custom Clothing & Alterations is now my place for any future alteration needs. I scoured the Google machine, as well as the Yelp App and found Stephanie. I popped on her website and huzzah! I could text her and send photos of what I was dealing with to see if it was something she could accommodate. (I like walking into appointments feeling prepared, showing what it was and explaining it beforehand helped me do that.) She quickly responded and we got an appointment set up a week later. She even was able to do later in the afternoon, as to accomodate my daughter that was in summer camp. The day of the appointment Stephanie was polite, professional and really seemed to know her stuff. Her shop is in a room just off her house-- totally separate with it's own entrance. She pinned both my and my little's dresses to be hemmed for an upcoming wedding and said she'd them ready within a week! Pricing seemed on par. I don't think my alterations were terribly complicated, but she makes the entire process feel painless either way. Not only is she a talented seamstress, she is a master of time management because her little shop is always busy yet she's always willing to take a new project. Before going to White…read moreWillow, I had tried quite a few different stores in the area and left empty handed, disappointed, and self confidence crushed. As a last effort to keeping my business local, I made an appointment with White Willow. When I arrived, I was greeted by the store owner Kelli and she asked what type I was looking for and showed me the dresses. She made suggestions and let me and my group pick them out. The store was beautiful inside, with a very upscale feel. I was feeling unsure because of the sizing on the dresses I had already tried. I had already been to other stores where none of the dresses would zip or come close to zipping and was forced to come out with a completely open back and show people and look in the mirror and "pretend" that it would be perfect in another size. I was pleased to see that at White Willow the dress sizes started at 12 and went up, and had different styles mixed on the rack. You didn't have to go to a certain "section" based on your size. After trying on the 1st dress with Kelli, I knew this place was amazing. She made me feel so comfortable and I was soon able to relax and enjoy trying on dresses. And the dresses! Are gorgeous, quality gowns that are quite true to size. I am a size 14-16 and I was able to zip or almost zip all dresses that I tried on near that size range. And the ones that wouldn't quite zip, Kelli pulled together and made them feel like they fit. Out of 6 dresses I found my perfect one, and actually bought it off the rack that night because for once, it fit! Kelli was very professional, both in her appearance and knowledge for wedding dresses. She took her time to make sure I found what I wanted and needed. Appointments at White Willow are also private, so you have the undivided attention you deserve as a bride. AND After I said yes to my dress, we celebrated with complimentary wine!
