As a result I needed to find a new one. Four months is a tight timeline, but Mariah was my consultant and she calmly helped me find some new options. I was able to find something off of the rack that I really like and I left feeling 100% better about my wedding! I will also note that I visited this store earlier on in my dress search process (maybe 7-8 months ago) and they were not as impressive, they seem to really be working on customer service. Pros: Range of styles available, good prices, frequent sales, on-site alterations. The staff is also very nice and you can get an appointment with very short notice (same day). Cons: This location does not necessarily have as many choices as other David's locations I have visited in larger metro areas. It's also important to keep in mind that this is not an upscale boutique, so the store doesn't necessarily feel as glamorous as some others and you won't find some of the more intricate styles you may see elsewhere. Bottom line: Great place to go, particularly if you are in a tight spot (i.e. dress problems) or on a budget.

She brought several dresses that had every thing my friend specifically stated she wanted to avoid and at one point told her that she had a dress that would match what she was looking for that wouldn't fit my friend BUT she could show her pictures of McKenzie wearing it if she wanted to. For a bridal store that has: "Our motto at Hope's is "Every Body. Every Bride." No matter your size, you deserve to look and feel your absolute best on your big day. We want your wedding dress shopping experience to be warm, comfortable, and joyful. And we want you to strut down that aisle on the big day with confidence because you ARE beautiful!" on their website, it is a wild thing to have someone working there that body shames anyone bigger than her and ruining what's supposed to be a once in a life time experience for a young bride along with crushing her self esteem and making her feel anything less than when all she wanted to do was try on dresses, feel beautiful and find THE dress for her big day.

I was really excited to come here to shop for my dream dress, as I had heard all good things coming…read morein. I came into the appointment still very much open to finding a dress after already having one great appointment prior to coming here. The saleswoman I was placed with was very cold and made the comment "You probably won't find your dress here" after showing her pics of what I liked within 5 minutes of being there. Throughout the appointment she was putting a big emphasis on certain things that may or may not fit me (I am considered "plus size" in many places) with a negative tone. She also made the comment that the dress I had tried on was about 10 sizes too small for me. I felt very judged and had to hold back tears at one point. I know what I look like, but I felt very defeated leaving the appointment. Their sizes on the floor did not feel as inclusive as I have seen most other places. Overall pretty disappointed I drove an hour to feel judged and the opposite of how a bride should feel when trying on dresses, no matter their size/shape.

Shelbi knew everything and listened to our bride's every comment-- every dislike, like and question. She was down to earth and made the appointment super fun. Even adding in suggestions for how to zhuzh up dresses, to make them more her style. Pricing was pretty reasonable. I very much appreciated she never once brought out a dress OUT of our range. She was sure to ask what the budget was to start the appointment and very cognizant of price and respectful throughout. Parking is a non issue. Hours are standard. 10/10 recommend setting up an appointment to find you (or your bride's) perfect dress.

Miriam spent about 2 hours and 20 minutes with us, and I probably tried on about 6 or 7 dresses in total. She was very helpful in talking me through what kinds of dresses I thought I liked, and allowed me to not feel too narrowed into one "style" or shape, which I appreciated. She made genuine comments about how a dress flattered and accentuated my body, she never made me feel 'bad' about my body or size. She asked questions about my fiancée and discussed how she wants her brides to feel comfortable, beautiful, confident, and that during the dress shopping experience, to consider how you hope to feel on your wedding day. It was a really great experience! I am an LGBTQ bride and so it feels very important to me that my vendors (?), or folks involved in the wedding are affirming and supportive, and I definitely felt that with Miriam! We also had a good conversation about how getting more options for plus size dresses is an area of interest for the shop, and how pleased I was with the selection they did have. I tried on dresses from size 16-22, I believe. I wear a size 18 in Old Navy jeans, if that helps...! Please make sure you are aware of the hours that this place is actually open before you consider…read morerenting anything! You should also know that the hours posted are actually "suggested" hours, and they are likely not going to be there anyway. If you call, you won't be able to leave a message because the inbox is full. If you text or instant message they won't respond for days. If you need examples I am more than willing to show those to you. You will spend $100's of dollars and get zero customer service, and the week of the wedding find out that 75% of the items don't fit because they didn't measure anyone and then ordered things incorrectly. Then they will tell you that must come in THAT day or you aren't guaranteed the correct vests reordered (because they ordered the wrong ones in the first place). You will show up at 4:00 when they open but they will be closed (like the last 3 days you showed up at 4:00 - finding the store closed). You will text and IM, only to have someone show up at 5:15 to finally OPEN the store when they close at 6:00!!! If you enjoy extra stress on a wedding week, this is the place to go. If you could do without it (because you have enough things to stress about) PLEASE consider ANY OTHER rental shop but this one. You will regret using Celebrate QC, that is a promise! Kris Pauli
