Middle aged, about 170 cm, maybe 80 kg., black ball cap. Mike looks legit enough, wearing all black work clothing, sporting oversized clear gel knee pads. He drives a near new white extended cab Dodge Diesel pickup truck, very nice black wheels and large nobbed tires; its a short box, fitted with a folding tonneau cover. Here is his method. Or you could call in an 'M.O.' Or just call it a 'scam'. Mike shows up in fancy truck. Lots of tools in back, nice box full of shiny tools in nicely tricked out truck. After plugging an expensive looking radio remote Error Code Reader into your car, and looking at his laptop screen, Mike looks like he knows what he is doing. Gives customer a very good price on needed repair. And Mike then states that he is very busy, and will get the job done when he is able. There are just 2 'customers' ahead of your vehicle. You give Mike your key and fob, because he needs them to fix your vehicle, and he will fit you into his very busy schedule with his very good price, asap. Mike agrees to call you when he is going to be working on your car. (That never happens.) Mikes got your key and fob, and your trust. For 2 weeks, Mike doesn't show up. Mike does not have your trust any more, but he does have your key and fob, and address. Then you ask for your key and fob back. Mike still doesn't respond. You call police, peace officer phones and actually talks to Mike. Mike tells police that customer is lying. Mike tells police that customer owes for parts and labor. Of course, this is not true, but nobody can prove anything either way. Police tell customer that this is a civil matter, it is not a crime to give bad service. (Read reviews on CanPages, Coastal Website, Yelp, etc.) Police add insult to injury telling customer to get signed invoice ahead of time. (Of course this makes sense, but Mike has run out of same, will get later...) So now, Mike still has to get his money. He really doesn't want your key and fob as much as he just wants your cash. So when you reach Mike again by phone, he states that he is 'out of town'. Will possibly be back in a couple of hours. Will contact you. You 'stand by' from 2 pm on a Sunday afternoon til 4 pm. Nothing happens. You are not that surprised. You are beyond being disappointed. Most likely you might be anxious, worried, stressed. Maybe even a bit angry. Then at 9:30 pm you get a call from Mike saying that he is ready to meet ... in 5 minutes, and not at your car, but at parking lot far from the location of the car. Maybe where he lives? In a fancy condo in the burbs. Anyways, it's the address he gives you. LOL. You tell him that you can meet him in 18 minutes. At the 15 minute mark you get a phone message from Mike, 'where are you'? and ... 'you better hurry'.!! You arrive in 20 minutes time. It's 15 minutes longer than Mike wanted you to be. Of course, you have been 'on the hook' for about 10,080 minutes ( just a week of minutes) It's 2 minutes later than you said you would be there! Will Mike be there?!?! There is no Mike and no truck at the location. You text Mike, 'where are you'.? He tells you to come out of the said restaurant parking lot, around the corner, into a dark parking lot. (Good story so far?) (It's all true!) (And there's more, but just not enough time and space to write it all down.) You see Mikes white truck. It's the only vehicle in the parking lot, it's all guest parking, and there are no other guests at this hour. You finally see Mike, dressed in black, on a dark and rainy night, with a folded up, 8 by 10 sheet, of plain white paper, and your key and fob, in his right hand. Mike dangles the key and fob in one hand. You count the money out, and simultaneously, Mike hands a chicken scratch scrawled blank paper receipt (you asked for proof of payment) (but you aren't going to read it at that time), and you reach to get your keys. You get the keys. You turn to leave, relieved to at least have something back for your $150. (that's what he told the police you owed him, but he has told you that he just wants $140 now.) (You see how much more there is ...?) (It's enough to make a short book, and it's only been 3 weeks! of dealing with Mike.) Mike tells you that phoning the Police was not very nice. You are already walking away. You leave and go back to your vehicle to see if there is anything left under the hood. Yes, it's bad. While you were innocently waiting, trusting, from 2 to 4 pm, or maybe not quite that long... I texted Mike to ask him if he has read any of the feedback on his Website. You might imagine what he said about the people that wrote reviews that weren't very favorable. I am pretty sure the ones that were 5 Star reviews were written by...um...Mike? Anyways... Can you believe it? Mike has blocked me on his phone?

Had a pretty poor experience with this guy. Came out 3 hours late, put the wires on I needed done…read more Charged a ton and didn't set the timing and left things loose. Didn't have a POS system on him he forgot it at home. So I had to go and take cash out. Had to ask for a receipt and he didn't break down pricing. Just wrote "set timing" which he didn't do. My boyfriend came out right after started up the vehicle and it ran much rougher than before. He called the guy and the guy lost his shit on my boyfriend yelling at him through the phone and called him a fucking idiot. Wish I'd have read the reviews before getting him. Very unprofessional.
