I did so, and silence followed. I told the associate I had completed this initial step and she just stared at me. After the awkward silence she said, "Well, I am waiting for you. Where are your receipts?" How about speaking with kindness, especially when you are dealing with the public during the holiday season?! No thank you, Loft. I have bought numerous items from your store in Kildeer but those days are long gone. Take some classes in customer service!

DO NOT SHOP HERE I…read morecame in to the loft on the afternoon of June 19th with my husband to check out items that I saw online wanted to see in person. I was not greeted by the staff. One employee spoke to the lady who came in behind me and immediately told her about their current sales and other items. I looked around and decided to try on a couple of items. The employee frequently checked with the other customers in the store on how they were doing and if they needed any help, but not me. When I went to the dressing room another employee a young woman ignored me as if I was invisible. She didn't say you can go into any dressing room she just turned her back to me and pretended I was not there. I proceeded to the first dressing room. When I came out. The same woman was there and she didn't ask if the clothes worked out or if I needed any other sizes she just turned her back to me again and ignored me. So I just dropped the clothes on rack next to her and walked out of the store. Even though I was interested in purchasing one of the items I tried on, I decided I was not going to purchase at a store that treated me with such disrespect, disregard and clearly racism. They do not deserve my money. Staff is extremely unfriendly and lack of customer service. I will not be returning nor will I purchase items online. I will be sharing my experience with my friends & family and urge them NOT to shop here.

This store has improved greatly over time. The staff is much friendlier and more helpful. The store also seems much cleaner and more organized. I love that the fitting rooms now have buttons you can press if you need a different size. I might be a little old to be shopping at American Eagle still, but the jeans here fit me like a glove! Jeans are always super difficult for me to find, but AE stocks 00 Long! I used to have to order these online but now they have them in the store! FYI- you can check in on Four Square for an additional 15% off your purchase!

Even if race wasn't the issue, Kam's customer service skills are reason for concern. "I entered the store, walked to the only person behind the counter (Kam) who looked up, sighed, and said other side. I walked over, waited for Kam to finish what she was doing. Kam took my jeans (in the bag they were shipped in) begin pushing buttons, inspected my receipt, and asked "do you have the visa?". I told her I didn't want to return, I wanted to exchange. Kam looked flustered and begin looking back and forth, saying nothing. I asked "are exchanges allowed?" "Am I allowed to look around?", Kam begin questioning if I wanted to exchange them for the same style (loose) and inferred that additional money made be needed as if that would turn me from exchanging or additional shopping. I told her if needed, I can pay more. After this interaction everyone one else in the store was extremely helpful and nice, I walked out with jeans that work well for me and a AE hoodie. I am a middle age black man shopping in a upscale superb area (address below), and fear that Kam treated me differently because of that. Unfortunately prejudice is not a new to me but is still inexcusable. I have friends who would benefit from your clothes (price/fit) but situations like this make it hard " AEOs response... Jon is an expert who you can trust to give you the best advice as well as fair advice. I recently asked him to replace a diamond on my wedding band, and he told me all he needed to do was rotate the diamond. He could have easily told me it needed replacement, which would have cost me way more, and I would have had no idea. He is honest and dang good at his job.

When I called, the first thing Jon did was talk me through the process of resizing a ring based on the metal type and style. He was very informative and kind. I called a couple of other places and immediately knew Jon was the go-to person. I took my ring in a few days later. The building did through me off (it's a big office building, when I expected a stand-alone store. Just FYI incase you think you're in the wrong place.) Inside of the store had a great atmosphere and Jon again was super helpful! The ring was ready in 4 days and when we picked it up, he also helped us look through some wedding band ideas for my fiancé. We may go back to get his band from TDC. If not, we know we have a jeweler we can trust for future needs. Thanks for a great experience, Jon!

Something about boutiques make me want to uncontrollably swipe my credit card, and now Bevello (at Deer Park Town Center) has jumped to the top of my list. From what the welcoming girl that works at this location told me, there are 22 other Bevello stores, although the one at Deer Park is the ONLY one in the mid-west. How lucky are we?! She did say that there are plans of opening another one in the South Loop of Chicago soon. Bevello carries a variety of well known brands such as Seven for all Mankind, Splendid, Paige, BCBG, Michael Kors, and more. I have to admit that I was saddened when the French Connection, in Woodfield Mall, decided to close up shop. That frown has now been turn upside down as I have found that Bevello carries French Connection. It's as if they searched through all the funky options that I would of normally had to sift through, and picked out the cute articles of clothing just for me. How generous of them. I also spotted some hip colorful, I believe James Jeans, that even on sale I had to talk myself out of. With all my might, I forced my gaze away and repeated in my head, "You do not need $200 jeans. You do not need $200 jeans." There are both affordable and pricey items at Bevello. I found cute blouses for around $30-40, and then others closer to the $65-90 range. Depending on the article of clothing and brand you're looking at, obviously your prices are going to range differently. They also have a sale rack worth checking out. In addition to clothing, they have shoes, clutches, belts, jewelery, and other accessories. My eye was caught by many vibrant maxi dresses that I WILL be going back for. A girl can always use an extra maxi dress or two, right? Now, I don't know if I can speak for my bank account, but I am so glad that I stumbled upon Bevello. Choose Deer Park Town Center for your next shopping adventure and stop on in Bevello.

I was happy to hear there is one opening in South Loop soon since I'm a Chicagoan and can't trek out this far regularly. The shop has great selection- lots of options in lots of colors, so if you like a certain style of shirt or dress, they have it in a few color options which is always nice. The store was bright and airy and really had a bunch of cool, not-too-expensive options. I came away with a BUNCH of shirts and a pair of Vince Camuto flats. They have a nice mix of pricier stuff (I tried on a really cute t-shirt that was $88!) and less expensive but still stylish things (most of the shirts I bought are in the $30-$40 range). The salespeople were so nice and super friendly. I really had a great time and hope to visit again soon!
