Specifically, pants long enough to cover all of my legs, while navigating around my ever growing, muscular booty and thighs. Express has long been my haven for such a query.... But they're no longer stocking long lengths at all their stores. They offer to order them. From the internets. And even offer free shipping. Those fragmented sentences above were separated, out loud, in my mind, by such explicatives as "shit" and "FMLL" (f my long legs) seeing as my flight is in two days. I parked somewhere in west Schaumburg, and trudged up the sloped parking lot, barely escaping a plethora of women drivers, who, without my catlike reflexes, would have run me over flat. I navigated around rowdy, unkempt children, only to be halted by cell phone chatting mall patrons as they shouted into their iPhones. I must have sprinted into the store, and centered myself in front of the giant wall of stacked slacks. My eyes scanned the numbers and letters... Long for the elusive "L". Up and down, twice, thrice.... I was getting worried. My hands, starting to sweat, I might have been twitching. A sales rep was on me, she reached into the bookcase of bloomers and snapped open a pair like it was nothing. LONG! They were exactly what I had traveled here for! I held them in my hands like a treasure, my eyes grew large, and a weight had been lifted. Then she mentioned, "everything is up to 50% off, and you can use coupons too" All of me wanted to leave. Too many people, lots of signs, so much clothing... I don't belong here. But the girl inside of me reminded me that, if I got it all now, I could avoid coming back till summer. This plus 'sale' sent me rushing through the store, grabbing my size in three different colors of one, five of another and heading to the line. The line was really well managed- moved quickly, but allowed me time to pull up my last email blast from Express. It landed me an additional $25 off every $75 I was spending. I had brought $500 worth of clothes up, and Joshua, who rang me up, graciously applied my email coupon, found my next account, had me laughing and smiling throughout. I complimented him on the store and staff, recalling how intense and insane keeping up with weekend retail could be. It was a great overall experience, and I ended up getting a ridiculous deal on clothing that I will wear! Especially those pants! Top notch Express experience, even if I had to go to two, and to a mall, on a weekend!

The attendant requested the manager to assist and after several minutes he was able to find the orders and process the return. Their systems need to improve.

I had recently purchased a pair of earrings at this location and had traveled back home with them. Once I opened the packaging, I noticed the bottom part of the earring had already broken off. I hadn't even tried on the earrings yet. I called the next day and spoke to someone on the phone who was very nice. She told me to come back into the store with the pair of earrings and they would get it taken care of. She said a receipt was not necessary if it had already been thrown away, which it had at this point. I brought in the earrings a week later and interacted with the self claimed "new manager", who was nothing but rude and unhelpful. She told me there was nothing she could do, not even an exchange for a new pair of earrings without the original receipt. The earrings were still in the original packaging and I could see the same pair at the store hanging up. I've never been treated so poorly by a store manager. Overall, they forever lost my business and I wouldn't recommend shopping at this location.

I stopped in on Saturday 4/25/26 for an exchange. We had to search for an associate, to start off. Some were behind the counter on their phones, chit chatting with each other, or hiding behind racks. I felt like I was in a sea of employees with none to be found- strangest experience. I unfortunately found a counter with a lady named Cathy behind it. Cathy falls in top five worst shopping experiences I've ever had. She immediately profiled me, it was actually disturbing. Without letting me say a word about my exchange, she went on and on about why is it her problem and she's a "rule follower". She wouldn't even take the time to pull up my personal book or my mother in laws, who gifted them to my husband. Also, keep in mind, there are no "rules" when it comes to Nordstroms return policy. She was strictly there to give me a hard time and make me feel like I was doing something wrong. Things only went downhill from there when she called her MIC. A male named Eric I believe? African American with a beard. He came down with a quickness and never made eye contact with me once. The two of them together couldn't make one good manager. I found him to be cowardly and an example of the company's poor onboarding & training. It's not too late to invest in a leadership program, let me know if you're interested. My three items were like-new and only tried on. My husband has a bad habit of washing all his clothes before he wears them. He did exactly that in September 2025 to realize the pants fit him poorly on the legs. Since when is that a crime or not allowed? I've posted the return policy directly from their website with my review. It's clear that Cathy and her MIC were only trying to give me, and likely many other customers, a hard time and not service. So much for playing by the rules.

To begin with, upon walking in, I was immediately greeted, warm and genuinely, by both associates. The store was very neat, and well put together. I'm not a great shopper. I'm more used to wearing old bleach stained shirts with(unintentional holes). I was a bit out of my element, and slightly embarrassed. Both woman made me feel immediately welcome and at ease. They started by asking me some questions about my general style (non-existant)and what I thought I'd feel comfortable in. They both got to work pulling various items, like experts, with ease, and neatly placing them in a dressing room. They helped me through out the entire process. They made me feel comfortable, not rushed or pressured. This store's staff is 75% of the time helpful, kind and happy to assist. The other 25% of the time, it's like they would rather be anywhere but there working. The quality of their clothing has gone down hill and not just a little...I mean, we have gone from jeans that would last me for years to "I think I could get the same quality at Walmart!" bad. Their corporate customer service is an absolute joke. If you have ever dealt with these script-reading-couldn't-care-less-about-the-customer fools, you know what I'm talking about. Bottom line, it's hard to find clothes that fit just right or lay just perfectly for a plus size woman and Lane Bryant used to fulfill the need in this industry that was severely lacking but much like other industries, I imagine, the cost of materials has increased, so they find ways to cut back and at the cost of customers, no less. I don't care what anyone says: you cannot buy clothes online! At least I can't. So if it's the convenience of online shopping that has affected this retailer or not, quality of the clothing and customer service is top on my list. Price is what it is. She did say that there are plans of opening another one in the South Loop of Chicago soon. Bevello carries a variety of well known brands such as Seven for all Mankind, Splendid, Paige, BCBG, Michael Kors, and more. I have to admit that I was saddened when the French Connection, in Woodfield Mall, decided to close up shop. That frown has now been turn upside down as I have found that Bevello carries French Connection. It's as if they searched through all the funky options that I would of normally had to sift through, and picked out the cute articles of clothing just for me. How generous of them. The shop has great selection- lots of options in lots of colors, so if you like a certain style of shirt or dress, they have it in a few color options which is always nice. The store was bright and airy and really had a bunch of cool, not-too-expensive options. I came away with a BUNCH of shirts and a pair of Vince Camuto flats. They have a nice mix of pricier stuff (I tried on a really cute t-shirt that was $88!) and less expensive but still stylish things (most of the shirts I bought are in the $30-$40 range).
