Two workers, Elijah & Matthew, arrived on time, began by having me walk them around the perimeter of our home to locate down spouts and access to water hoses. They got right to work! They thoroughly cleaned the gutters and down spouts -- except one that that had become clogged by construction debris left on the roof years ago (by the original construction company). They explained clearly what they'd encountered and explained options. (They also showed me pieces of that debris that they had managed to clear from another downspout.) With my approval, they involved their boss, Matt. We made arrangements for him to come at 8:30 am the very next morning. He, too, quickly got to work removing, clearing, and reattaching the down spout and for a very low addtional cost. We were concerned about pressure washing because we had read horror stories about damage and also were concerned about losing the color of our tiles. He even asked our next door neighbors for permission to clean up a bit that went over there (homes here are very close together). In the areas that I and my husband were able to look at, it looks almost like a new roof. As you can see from the before / after photos, there are a few stains remaining, but all living garbage (moss, lichen, and whatever else was growing up there) is completely gone. They were highly recommended by our roofer, so I didn't get any other quotes. I can't say whether the price was high, low, or average. At roughly 75 cents per square foot, the cost was certainly more than I was expecting. (The type of roof, as well as its pitch, probably also factors in to the pricing.) So 5* for the job as accomplished, with the caveat that the price seemed high. But then again, what doesn't these days?

I met with Chris (the owner) and he was great throughout the process. He's doing a lot of work in Folsom because the moss is going crazy here for some reason. His team came out and started with the roof... and oh my gosh... the amount of stuff that came off our roof was stunning, like maybe two ten gallon buckets of moss and crud (first time cleaning in 30 years). They cleaned the solar panels, then proceeded to power wash the entire house, and all the concrete front, back and side yards. Everything is cleaner now, and worth the expense. I checked with other companies too, but Cali offered the all-in-one bundle that left the roof, screens, walls, and concrete looking great.
