I engaged services with Alta Pest Control to eliminate an issue with ants coming into our kitchen. After over a year of service the issue still exists and they want me to pay $250 to get out of my contract. I do not recommend their services. Their chemicals do not remediate pest issues. read more

I wish I'd done research on this outfit. In trying to cancel the contract, I was placed on hold for over 5 minutes. I hung up, and tried a different phone number. Again, it was about 3 minutes before someone answered. This time, I was told that I would have to speak to the cancellation department, or words to that effect. read more

More transparency into service agreements. Ie. Purchasing one service seemingly well explained and terms understood , without disclosing that by agreeing to this service you inadvertently agree to a contract to provide additional services for an undisclosed period of time . Very Payday Loan Tactics Shame on you all! read more

It is a scam. They start the business lying, and telling that you could cancel after 6 months if you have anh concerns but when you discover the bad service and try to cancel They say you have you can cancel wi t hour paying the whole year. Also, only the 1st treatment cover the entire house (inside and outside) the other months they came quiet and they say they treated the outside but you never see them and they don't care if whatever they did is effective. You have to pay now the entire year. read more

After three years of monthly payments of $45, Alta cancelled my contract because I wouldn't continue with bait boxes outside and didn't want to use glue strips. I don't use both for ethical reasons, the snap traps are bad enough. Never mind that I didn't complain about the mice that did get in, and I've been paying them at least $45 a month for three years and not using the service much since they only filled the bait boxes I used to have quartely, until I realized their impact on birds and removed them. Their customer service is spotty and while some call center reps are good, many aren't and the techs have a lot of work to do in order to provide good service. Management is an absolute joke. Noting but excuses and then refusing to cancel the cancellation when I said i wasn't complaining. read more

It's a scam. Avoid. Cancellation charges were not explained. I used them one month then cancelled when they unexpectedly billed me without providing service. Our HOA posts No Solicitation. read more

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT get this company for pest management!!! They charge you every month and only come out every 3 months. Their techs never knock on the door and ask customer if there's any issues nor did I ever see a tech there doing there job! I called customer service to cancel and they managed to squeeze a 400 dollar canceling fee because I was not happy and when I told them that I feel like their robbing me, their response was "business is business". This company had no morals and worries about there customers last! If I could rate this company 0, I absolutely would! read more

If I could leave a negative number I would. This company has had nothing but slimy practices. When signing up the door to door salesman stocked us coming home, wouldn't leave after being told multiple times no. Paid the first month himself just to hit his quota. Our contact was from Aug to July. Made monthly payments. When they came out every 3 months one guy actually came to the door, could tell he was applying stuff to the yard and house. The other people sat in the cars and did nothing. No even pretending to walk around the house. Then when the contact was up, every time we tried to cancel we were hung up on after being on hold for over 30 mins. We emailed and texted, responding to their emails and text they couldn't find our account, or required all cancelations be verbal not written. Once someone finally answers they change for a whole service to cancel because of them "coming out the last month of the contact to perform a service read more

I can't give them a negative rating but this is a rip-off for the services they provide. They glazed over their service, charge you $ 90 per month and come once a quarter. Watch out !!! read more

This is the WORST company anywhere! Never do business with them. We had a service already and their salesperson came to the door. We told him we were not interested, he would NOT leave. My husband came out as well and showed him the card of our other company. He said he would match the price and they don't charge for repeat service if we have to call them our inbetween. We told him no. He asked us to give them a try to see the difference they could make, after feeling forced (as if we didn't do it they would do something to our property), we said we would agree to a trial. He told us it would be $50, just like the other company. When he asked us to sign the tablet it said $89.99. He said he corrected it. Then showed me it was fixed. I read through the contract and he said we could cancel at any time no questions asked. We were charged almost $100 and then a MONTH later charged almost $150.00 for a $90 QUARTERLY service. I called the office and cancelled. They tried to talk me out of it and said if we provide the proof of the other place they would adjust what they charged. Then we started having a massive flea infestation. Come to find out it started right after they came back again. Not a single flea in the 4 1/2 years we have lived here, then we cancel, then we have problems? Then we started getting harassing calls for a "past due bill", then texts. I explained that we cancelled and they stated we could not cancel over text or over email, it had to be in person. I told them we had cancelled on the phone, over email and over text. They will not let me cancel, they are putting bugs in our house and they are HORRIBLE! They are still HARASSING us and trespassing on our property. Everytime they call I leave a message and then they call back again. read more

Terrible service. They were pushy when we first encountered them at our front door. That should have been a clue. However, we signed up and now they never show up when scheduled and we continuously have spiders/ webs all around the house. We are cancelling their service ASAP. read more

They charged me and never came out. Charged me $420 to cancel. I only had two months left on the contract. They were ineffective at ridding us of wasps and mosquitoes. Very demanding and pushy wanting positive google reviews. They are very needy when it comes to Google reviews. Run hard and fast from them when they come to your door to solicit business. You will have to be very firm, for they refuse to accept no for an answer. read more

Ridiculous selling tactics. Totally hard-sell $40 desperate instead of a "$99 entry fee". Totally would not accept, "I will discuss it with my wife" (I get that it's a sales thing). Came back around after 8 p.m. looking to talk. Completely unprofessional. Will never do business with these folks. read more

Absolutely the worst. They've billed us multiple times before they were supposed to. Have showed up like 6 times before they were scheduled and won't do anything to make it right. Absolutely ridiculous. They won't write us out of our contract even though they have voided it themselves multiple times, and all they will do is offer a credit for the time they billed us a month early for the unscheduled visits. RIDICULOUS. (not the techs faults, they've all been nice and done great work) but we pay for the inside of our house to be done and when they show up UNSCHEDULED obviously no one is home. read more

They were very unclear on the terms. Fast talking and did not properly disclose the agreement. They do not give notice of when they come, always short notice. Also randomly charge you for things that you did not agree to. read more

Guy came to the door to sell and told me $ 59.00. They charged me after that $ 89.00 monthly. It is almost double of other company I paid before. They told me to sign the contract and did not say before it will be cancellation fee of $ 440 and when I did not pay and then they added the late fee and sent to the collection charging $ 75.00. They did not do the job right. After they did the service, more bugs and insects came to the house and there was a wasp made a nest on outside of the house. I had to hire other company to remove the wasp nest. They trick you and take the money and does not do the job right. They have an unethical selling tactics. This the worst company and never do business with them. read more

One of their salespeople was soliciting my (no solicitations) neighborhood. When I told him we are happy with our current provider who are friends of our family he became rude and said "Oh, so I suppose you're going to have them over for dinner?" As I was shutting the door in his face he was still shouting his sales pitch at me and then he lingered on my porch. Completely unprofessional. I wouldn't trust this company for anything. read more

Karl came for our monthly service. he was very nice and friendly. He went about his job in a professional manner. All my questions were answered. read more

They started out great and they are good to send someone else back out if you call, but they have become just like any other provider only twice the cost. The sweeping barrier of spray, the dusting of webs, the treatment of ants I was promised for each visit has become something I have to catch the tech and tell or call and request a return visit for. I shouldn't have to call back each time. read more

We signed up for quarterly service but they never called to schedule they just show up and if you are not home they spray the exterior and leave. I asked that they alway schedule ahead because I was caught off guard to see someone on my back patio that I was not expecting. We have never had a pest control company show up without notice and this is not an acceptable business practice. read more

Answered the door to a young man in our no soliciting neighborhood. Asking several prying questions - if I was head of house, when husband was coming home, will there be two vehicles in the driveway when he is home, I can come back around 8:30, will he be home then? Explained how he works solely on 100% commission and how I couldn't call the office and needed to sign up today or he'd lose his sale. We don't need pest control and if so, I wouldn't recommend this company due to the intrusive sales calls. read more

Please AVOID!! Never in my life have I had such a terrible experience with a company! I signed a contract for outside treatment around 9/2021 it was for a quarterly service. My main complain was cockroaches which they told me doing the outside treatment would help, several treatments went by and no change in the amount of cockroaches so I asked them to do a treatment inside which was part of the contract so it would be free. Well they did that twice and still no change, they ended up telling me that I had German cockroaches which are "harder to kill" and it would be an extra charge. Which I agreed and they did the treatment one time and it was a little better for about a week I called multiple times for them to come out and redo the treatment because nothing was changing about the cockroaches and I still was tied to the contract for the outside treatment which they kept doing and charging me with no change. They didn't really acomódate me they give me a few dollars discounts and when I would get upset they would tell me they would hang up on me if I didn't change my tone. There was no communication within each other I would call and tell them instructions such as to use stronger chemicals for the cockroaches and then the tech would show up and use the same thing as before and say he wasn't informed. Well a year later nothings change about the cockroaches at my home and close to 1k less. Save the headache read more

Alta is a good company and they seem to always provide great service. Their service gets rid of pests and rodents.

Had a problem and they help me out. Very knowledgeable and customer friendly . Service was on time..

I signed a 1 year contract after the sales person said it was $99 per treatment meaning $400 for the whole year. FALSE the 1st treatment was $99 and then they charged $225 for 4 treatments after the first $99 treatment. ALSO, their treatment sucked and never got rid of the bugs and spiders no matter how many times they came out! read more

Sure seemed like they showed up a lot when it would be raining. Therefore they would say they couldn't complete all the services I was paying for. Like putting the granules in the yard or even spraying around the house. I think sometimes they would use their brush to remove some cobwebs off the house, say they would come back when it wasn't raining to complete their service. But they wouldn't come back until the next 3 month or how ever long it was for the next scheduled appointment day. I should have checked the reviews before using them. read more

They cam to my door and said they can get ride of some bugs for me. I asked if i could cancel at any time, he said yes. I canceled because it wasn't working. They charged me %80 of the remaining services. $485.00 down the drain. read more
