Tall pine tree toward the back of the park. Shade all year around!

A hidden gem of a park! When Turing the corner, blink and you will MISS the entrance! Yes, it is - that - hidden. Clean, safe, shady. Highly recommend!

A hidden gem of a park! It's tucked up in the Torrance hillside and the entrance is a small parking lot between two homes! (Hint if you're throwing a party and inviting guests, you can't see the park sign coming up Crest, you may want to tie some balloons to the sign or make signs to help make the entrance visible. I say this only because we just threw our little ones party here and had a few guests get lost along the way. The park itself is much larger than you'd think with a vast green field and a little playground to keep the kids contained. The slide is a spiral slide that is taller than most, which rocks if you're a kid (so I'm told). There are squirrels, lizards and LOUD crows hanging around. Because all previous posts were lacking the "party room" photos, I thought I'd include some for you! They have a house that via the Torrance Parks and Recreation Department that can be reserved for parties and group functions (Girl & Boy Scout Meetings etc). The meeting/party space is large, clean and has a kitchen with sink, oven/stove, and fridge that can be used. The party room also has a few (maybe 10) tables (6ft) and 72 they allow you to use. Fees are minimal per hour to book the space ($35 if you're a Torrance resident slightly hirer if not). The space is great, just know they are strict on the cleaning policy and no tape to the walls for decorations. They also are prompt on time limits, so if you book from 12-3 the Park Rangers will arrive at noon to unlock the facility and arrive promptly at 3 to inspect and lock it back up. But all in all it's a great option to use the facility for an event or party. Plus the bathrooms are much nicer than the other ones outside!

I really like this small neighborhood park. It is clean and feels safe. No homeless or other iffy people hanging out. A neighborhood gem.

Wonderful park for toddlers. The play structure doesn't have large and high openings for wobbly toddlers.

A locals favorite! It's been a while since I've taken a walk here and I can see that they are…read morebuilding more spaces for folks to play and get active. They currently have a wide walkway to get your steps in, multiple baseball fields, batting cages, tennis and pickleball courts, a street hockey field, outdoor equipment, and plenty of tables next to an outdoor cooking area. Of course, a fun playground for the kiddos. Right next to it was a pleasant surprise- a free little library! It was a little empty but I'm sure folks will add to it soon. Highly recommend you checking this park out this summer.

This park is spacious. Has picnic tables, aquatic facilities, basketball court, pickel ball and a good outdoor stage presentation facility for events. Place fits over a 1000 people at this outdoor event venue. Bring your pop up tent and your fold up chairs to feel comfortable. With that said, my #1 gripe about this park, only two unisex toilets available! Who would put a 2 person bathroom with a cipher code that can accidentally lock. These two bathrooms is stationed like a miniature hut stationed by the entertainment area. Who ever engineered these bathrooms should be reprimanded. It was a dumb idea for cipher codes to be implemented. One bathroom was accidently locked with no one in there! Terrible idea. Over a 1000 people and only as two restrooms nearby! If you had to use the use restrooms.. you have to walk in the other side of the park where the picnic area is located. It is quite a walk! Walked or wait 30 minutes. Overall, its comfortable park minus the restroom situation.

There's a community garden here with free mulch. There's a basketball court as well. I noticed lots of folks doing tai chi here. I also noticed groups of nannies meeting up here with their kids. There's no sand, dirt or wood chips at the playground area. The bad: One of the four swings could've used WD40. It was very squeaky. There was a man on the bench by the playground alone with a book who looked to be video recording the playground. I wasn't sure if it was innocent and he was potentially just video chatting with someone and showing them where he was but I was suspicious that a man would come alone and choose a bench by the loud children's play area to read rather than sit at one of the many other benches further away for a quiet space to read. The interesting: There's plenty of street parking. The playground is flat.

There are also walking paths that are great for riding bikes and scooters. The play area is pretty small for such a large park but it has the basic essentials and the kids had fun. Probably wouldn't make it a point to try to go to this park, but a good choice if you're in the area. Hope you check it out and enjoy!
