I got to try their lasagna, which came with a meatball, bread, and wedding soup. I quite enjoyed this meal. Prices were OK and the portion was satisfying. The lasagna had quite a lot of ricotta and it was reasonably flavorful, but I would have liked a bit more of a flavor from the sauce. The meatball was quite large. Not too flavorful and a bit of a tough texture (almost sausage like), but still good. Bread was very basic but free so can't complain. The wedding soup was quite good. Small cup but flavorful broth and quite a good amount of cheese (I think?) in there. All in all, I enjoyed my meal here. Good little Italian spot in East McKeesport and probably one of the better restaurants in this area.

As a frequenter of the Asian restaurants on Forbes, I've been meaning to check out Tasty Noodle (formerly Jian's Kitchen) and right next to Panda supermarket. Walk downstairs and all the way at the end of the hallway (it's pretty easy to spot once you're down there) is Tasty Noodle. The place isn't large but has a couple of large and small tables, and my party of 3 was seated right away. I had been craving Chinese rice noodle soups ever since Dagu Noodles closed and this place HIT THE SPOT!! They have handmade pulled noodles used in either their chili oil noodles or noodle soups. Tons of options and protein choices. I opted for the sliced beef rice noodle soup, my friends opted for the lamb option and the braised beef noodle soup. All 3 of us were so full and happy with our meals! Service was attentive and kind. The owner was pointing out other best sellers he recommends at the end. I think I'd try the 3 treasures chili oil noodles next. They do accept both card and cash!

The space probably has 12 or so tables…read more At about 2p, there were maybe 4 or 5 tables taken, so we had no problem grabbing a booth for our table of 3. A nice server walked us through the menu. The #2 "3 in one maxed noodles" under DRY NOODLE is "most popular," he said, and not very spicy - comprising of #s 1, 3, $ 4 on the dry noodle menu. They're flexible on your preferred spicy level. And #6 on the SOUP NOODLE menu is very popular & not spicy - braised pork rib noodles. Under SPICY NOODLE IN STONE POT - our server recommended #1 spicy beef soup with rice noodle in stone pot. For Appetizers - they were out of the cold skin noodles with peanut butter, but our server also recommended wonton (dumplings) in chili oil. OUR ORDER & ASSESSMENT: Appetizer - the wonton noodles are so good - so silky - and the semi-spicy sauce was really unique. Def would reorder that. Me: the 3 in one noodles - and this gigantic bowl was brimming with unique, flavorful ingredients that our server said I was to stir together. Baby bok choy, tomato chunks, slivered carrot, homemade wide noodles, small pieces of braised pork, scrambled egg, chili powder (not very spicy at all), and slivered scallions ---- a bowl of Chinese comfort food cooked to perfection. Total 5 star dish. Hubs: Spicy beef soup with rice noodle --- a *screaming hot* (temperature- not spice) stone pot filled to the brim with thin rice noodles (look like spaghetti), baby bok choy, and a zesty broth with a fairly good spicy kick. My hubs was just MEH on this dish. The broth - IMHO - just didn't have much depth of flavor. Sis-in-law: spicy max vegetable with rice noodles. Again - the wildly hot stone pot was brimming with homemade rice noodles, silky tofu, but there really weren't many veggies. Bok choy was about it. Odd, we thought. Again - the broth was just ok. All in all, it was a good, reasonably-priced lunch. I will DEF be back!

My mom's and the church ladies were the best. So, imagine my disappoinment with what I got. It was practically uncooked; cabbage was very hard/stiff; meat extremely pink almost raw. My mom used to blanch the cabbage leaves to soften them up a bit before stuffing them. Didn't seem like they did this. I tried to eat it but just couldn't. Wound up throwing it out. Maybe the cook was having a bad day. I'm sure I will go back to Emil's but doubt I will ever order Stuffed Cabbage again.

I know I definitely need to try more items from here. I tried the linguine, Apple pie, and the sweet potato pie. The linguine was very clearly homemade and tasted delicious. The portion was very solid for just $5. They had numerous kinds of vegetables, like mini broccoli bits, tomatoes, and more. The oil was well seasoned and very tasty. Nice bit of acidity as well. Very good, and the pasta was cooked perfectly! Came in classic cold form like with pasta salads. The apple pie was again so good. They had huge pieces of apples in there. The crust was very well made. Not too sweet, and the "sweet sauce" portion of it was great as well. Amazing portion, nice homey taste. I have never tried sweet potato pie, but now I know it's actually very good! I didn't even order sweet potato pie, but they gave it to me for free, as it was just a few days after Thanksgiving. They are the best! This sweet potato pie wasn't too sweet and the portion was very large for the price! You get your own mini pie for $5. The inside is creamy and has the perfect level of sweetness. The outside provides a nice crisp for contrast. I love it! All in all, this place is simply awesome. They have lots of delicious items on the menu, and I can't wait to go back.
