I was a bit sore the next day...to be expected... but after that the pain was gone. Completely gone! Occasionally I have issues with my sciatic nerve. I was having a lot of trouble with it and didn't want to keep taking painkillers so I went to Nadia. She did her magic and viola, the pain has been gone for 3 weeks! She uses hot stones, but she doesn't just lay them on your back, she massages with them. I couldn't tell the difference from when she was using the stone or her hand, she was that good! I usually get 1.5 hour long massages and always feel like I need another before I walk out the door. Sadly a good 80% of the time I was laying there praying for it to be over so I could accomplish something for the day. I called 16 places that day by 9am and there was nothing. As I had given up and was driving down the road I saw a sign that said massage and figured I'd give one last try. That was by far the best decision I made. DeLane was able to get me in I wanna say within 20 minutes. Mind you, this was no notice and obviously a brand new client. The place is cute, private and centrally located. Most importantly is DeLane herself. For the first time EVER I told her what I wanted and needed in two short sentences and Bam! Perfection! I like a lot of pressure which she can do but she has skill! That's what most other places have been lacking this whole time. She can find the trouble spots quickly and deals with them thoroughly. Here's what went right and wrong: Pros: -They were able to squeeze me in immediately. -Pricing is fair/decent. -Facility is clean and accepts credit card. Cons: -They never asked me what kind of massage I wanted, and there is definitely a huge language barrier. I told her I wanted deep tissue, with as much pressure as she could possibly do, and to spend the entire time on my back and shoulders. What I got instead was a 1 hour Swedish style full body massage. Because she didn't do the full hour on my shoulder like I specifically requested, my shoulder feels a little better but not completely... -There was a lack of instructions, likely due to the language issue. Most massage places will ask you once you walk into the room where you feel pain, then, they will tell you what level to undress to, where to leave your things, etc. That was not my experience. She literally walked me into the room, and then, closed the sliding door and gave me zero instructions. -There wasn't great privacy. I don't really care, but every other massage place I have been to is very careful not to expose your breasts or have the door open while you are not fully clothed. Again, that was not my experience here. Instead of a sheet to cover my body on the massage table, they gave me a body sized towel that really only covered my butt if I put it horizontally. Then, she came in as I was getting dressed, and I was in my bra, and she went to get me water with the door open. Overall, it was a good massage, and if I was in a pinch, I would return, but I'm honestly pretty surprised this place has all 5 star reviews, most of which are super recent, given I know others would be much more bothered by my experience than I was.
