Wanted to try this place for quite some time so we stopped in for a light bite. Interesting layout with one large room containing dining tables, small bar and a large retail butcher shop. We started with the small Gorgonzola salad which looked appealing but the taste was underwhelming. Just not that great of a salad. It was served with a side of warm rye bread with butter. We do not like rye bread and they do not offer any other options so we skipped that item. Stuffed mushroom appetizer was next. These were tasty and probably the best part of the meal. Overall we were not terribly impressed and given the steak prices we saw on the menu we will probably opt for other steakhouse choices in the area. read more

The place is very rustic and they do need to pay attention to all the boxes out where you can see it, looked junky and messy! Service was excellent; very attentive, and friendly. Food was delish! Prime rib and Filet Minion cooked to perfection! The only thing we're disappointed with was the dessert, it was the crispy apple strudel which was not crispy (wilted dough) at all and really no taste. We didn't say anything because we didn't want to ruin our dining experience. We will be back for sure and bring our Texas friends and order key lime pie! read more

Tough to put my figure on it, but I will probably not bring my family back again. The food was tasty but the price for what we received was high. I would have been happy to pay the higher price for lean grass feed meat, but it was all conventional. I would also have recommended it if they put more meat on the sandwiches. Again, not bad but left hungry after spending $91 for three people to eat. read more

We arrived around 4:30 and were seated immediately. A server arrived quick and answered all of our questions. (First timers!) we ordered the daily special of grilled steak with chimichurra sauce, crab cake appetizer, filet (rare), twice baked potato, and an extra side of their cole slaw. The food arrived in a timely matter and we have no complaints. We highly recommend Alpine. We also suggest, unless you want to wait, maybe go early or make a reservation. By the time we left, the place was full with people standing outside. (Thursday evening). The deli / meat market inside is amazing too. read more

Heard about this steakhouse and wife and I stopped by to check it out. This is not only a restaurant, but it also has a overwhelming butcher shop. The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful, the ambience is moderate and the decor no frills. Adult beverages are limited to Wine and Beer. I ordered the Delmonico and wife the Filet with side salads and the house wine, both meals were prepared and presented well and were tasty. No complaints. Overall, it is pricey, and in my opinion, I think you can get the same quality elsewhere for a more reasonable price. read more

I was told to go there for German Goulash. My husband was German and I learned to make it. No way was that mushy meat "Goulash". Very disappointed. read more

We had a party at four and we were all very diverse in what we ordered From the burgers to the steaks, everything was hot and tasted very good. I highly recommend Alpine for people looking for a good steak or a good burger. Also, it was very nice to see. They had some German beer on tap which was an added treat. read more

Someone once told me that Alpine Steakhouse is the only place they buy their meats. I've driven past this spot for years, always curious, and finally found myself pulling into the lot, ready to explore. Since it was my first visit, I decided to start small and get a feel for the place. Sitting at the bar, I couldn't help but notice that almost everyone around me had ordered burgers--a promising sign. My server greeted me warmly, handed me menus, and took my drink order. I had a few questions, and she answered them honestly, which I truly appreciated. I settled on a cheeseburger, cooked rare, with fries. And wow--what a surprise. The burger was cooked perfectly, the juices soaking into the bun in the best way. The lettuce was crisp and chilled, giving that satisfying crunch, and the tomato had real, garden-fresh flavor. Now I'm already stalking the menu for my next visit--torn between the New York steak or the prime rib (both rare, of course--aka "mooing"). Next time, I'll also be checking out the butcher counter. Big thanks to my friend for recommending your weekly counter purchases--now I understand why! read more

The vibe here is so delightful. You can tell the staff is like family and they definitely have regulars because of that. The food was amazing and not too pricey, considering the portions and the fact that we got steak! My mom and I both got the filet sandwich. It melts in your mouth. The slaw my mom got as a side was a vinegar base (which I personally like more than the mayo version). I picked the cucumber and Greek yogurt side. VERY BERY GOOD! read more

It was an amazing experience and loved going there !! Can't wait to go back !! Food was unbelievable and service was equally amazing ! I would highly recommend you give it a try but call for reservations !! read more

The service was not noteworthy either way. Our waitress was pleasant and friendly, but again not noteworthy either way. The food on the other hand; I asked for a burger medium rare and it was raw. The middle was not even warm, I am astonished it came out of the kitchen that way. I was asked it I wanted them to cook another to take home, again weird. The twice baked potato was amazing and so was the creme bruelee. The two is for the raw burger that was still charged for at full price. We won't be going back. read more

A great diverse menu & personable staff. Everything I've ordered has been exceptionally good. There is a community atmosphere where everyone seems like they're locals. They are even pet friendly & let me bring my dog inside & sit under my table. Which I appreciate. read more

We love the combo of market and a unique take on steakhouse cuisine. This restaurant has deep roots back to Karl Ehmer days, and offers house made dishes like the famous Turducken, sausages, goulash and more. And of course, steak and seafood! It's a casual atmosphere with a back bar and market to the left, along with retail wine sales. The staff is on point and service is excellent. Corkage $20... Experience- excellent! read more

Last week we picked up four beautiful sirloins...2 inches thick baseball style, they cooked to perfection.

The restaurant was packed with people outside waiting for their names to be called. My wife and I asked the hostess how long would the wait be for a table for two. She replied, about twenty minutes. We checked in and proceeded outside to wait for our name to be called. After we waited for about 30 minutes, I went inside to check to see if we were getting close. The hostess advised to was going to be AT LEAST twenty more minutes. At this point, my wife and I decided to cut our losses and find another restaurant. To be clear, my rating was solely due to the poor handling of the hostess station. We have dined at Alpine several times and were always pleased with their food and service. They need to get a better grip on their reservation and seating process. read more

Saw this place on TV; years ago. Finally drive down from Orlando to try the place. I sure like the place. Maybe the food is a solid 4-star place; but I give 5 stars for the dark haired/younger/ slender build waitress and her service. Good thing this place has her - as she is quite proficient and does great at anticipating the customer need, without having to ask. And on this day, she handled a number of tables; without making you feel (she) was that busy. Ok, on to the food comments: - French onion soup: Excellent and very well balanced. - turducken: A great rendition of the turkducken itself. The stuffing within the dish was very good tasting. The cook on the turkey, duck and chicken was spot on. Now, do I wish they had a better gravy to top the dish; yes. But hey, they nailed the protein aspect of the dish. Weiner schnitzel: Another great dish. (2) veal cutlets come to the table and they look great. Great crust on the veal. The lemon caper sauce was light tasting and wish I had more of it on the plate! Red cabbage: I'm (not) your best judge as this stuff was way tart from the vinegar. I'm not the big tart fan. Being here for lunch, didn't get to try the BBQ or a steak....but I think they are probably quite good. I saw the steak in the butcher case...they had great color and marbling. I again, sure like this place and I'm glad we finally made it Alpine! read more

Fun looking place old world charm. Had a new york strip steak perfectly cooked. Service was equally good. My only criticism is that if you order a steak dinner it should come with two sides not one. read more

After all the hype, we had to try it. The steaks were delicious. I had filet (8 oz!). Others had strip steak, prime rib. I hesitate to order prime rib cuz it can be chewy. Not here! All the food was excellent. Sadly, beer and wine only which I don't drink. What the place lacks in atmosphere, it does make up for in meat. We were seated at the front door so we were well aware of patrons standing and waiting for a table. If you don't want to dine in, there is a full meat counter to choose from for home cooks. Prices were reasonable for dinner but when I looked at the meat counter, filets were going for $$$$. Like most restaurants today, it was a bit loud. Would I recommend it? Yes--especially if you are a carnivore. read more

Pass on Ruth Chris, Morton's Steakhouse, and Fleming's Prime Steakhouse, and come to Alpine Steakhouse. It's where the locals go for a family-friendly atmosphere and great prime beef. Their butcher's shop is top-notch with an impressive selection of aged beef. Don't forget your sides... There are plenty to choose from. How often can you find a third-generation steakhouse? Don't leave town without stopping in. read more

We have been a few times for lunch, but today, Friday, was not a good day! All our lunches (6) we're not good.

Even though I got the wrong dish I'm not one to send things back unless it's way out of whack but this was OK. I ordered a beef on weck (western New Yorkers know what that is ) but got a French dip. Service was a little slow but it was a packed house so we forgave the waitress. The decor was pleasant and the place was very clean. After dinner went to the meat counter and bought some homemade Italian sausage. Haven't cooked it yet so no comment. read more

We had good food ,excellent service and plan to revisit to try the Hamburgers and Turduckin. The deli meats look great as well.

I was in town and wanted to go out to lunch, so I go to my go-to list at Diners, drive-in and Dives. And found this place. My friend and I wanted to have the famous Turducken. I watched the scene on the show. It's definitely not like what was on the show. But what we got half the size and my friends had nothing but chicken and duck, none of the other ingredients. The reason for three stars was the food was still good. Hopefully they fix this in the future. read more

Great prices for great food. Our servers were super good, can't wait to go back. It nice to be able to order the big prime rib serving.

First time visit for me to this local gem! It has a butchers counter and a dining area for those confused. Stopped in at lunch time for a quick bite and ordered based on recommendation. The food came out very quickly and the server was extremely kind and attentive. Food was amazing and I couldn't ask for anything more for the taste. If you haven't been you should definitely try and if you do ask for their house mustard. It's a stone ground honey mustard that is amazing! read more

Such a solid diner with fine cuts of meat and unique touches throughout the restaurant like cowhide on the booth seats and a deer antler chandelier! We stopped in on a complete whim and to our surprise, found this hip diner/butchers shop. We split a burger and fries with individual side salads. The burger was so good, perfectly juicy with grilled onions. The house salad has mushrooms and peppers which was a welcomed surprise to add dimension to the house salad. Only thing is the side salad was poorly presented with huge chunks of vegetable that needed to be cut up but cutting up the salad was difficult because it was on a too small bowl and also because we had a butter knife to work with. Regardless, we loved this restaurant and I think it's one of the best places to get a burger from in town. read more

My dad and went drove an hour to get the turducken. It was worth the trip. Great food. Good service. Casual environment. We saw that they sell prime steaks in the restaurant and in the meat market, so we decided to go back and have another lunch. The plan was for me to have a steak, and if it was a lot better than the choice steaks we get from the grocery store, we'd make a monthly trip for lunch and to stock up on steaks. We won't be going back. Never again. My dad had schnitzel. It was average to below average. I had the boneless ribeye. It was a joke. I don't how the hell that made it onto a plate and onto my table, but it did. I've had better steaks at 3am at an all night breakfast place. I do not want to make any accusations, but if someone told me any or all of the following, I'd believe them: The "chef's" culinary experience consists of fast food and hospitals. The meat is actually select. The meat was leftover from the night before and was reheated in the microwave. The steak was cooked entirely in the microwave. The steak was actually fake (ribeyes and tenderloin are the cuts most likely to be created using scraps from other cuts of meat). As an added bonus, it came to $160, including tip. (I don't send food back to the kitchen. I've know many kitchen employees and I've heard too many stories to be that dumb. So I just pay my bill, and tip appropriately, then write an honest review here). My dad and I not going back monthly, as was our plan, will cost them a lot more than I spent. Hopefully this review costs them a lot too. They deserve all the pain that follows a sharp downturn in business because it's obvious they don't care. read more

I heard from a co worker you have try the Reuben at Alpine. Damn! He was right! The flavor, the fresh rye, the savory dressing, and the sliced meat was mouth watering. I woke up today thinking about it. My wife and I going back today for dinner (next day). This place is great! read more

As a regular customer, I can confidently say that Alpine is the go-to place for all things beef. Great butcher cabinet selection. Their ribeyes and burgers are fantastic, and I also love their artichoke-stuffed mushrooms - absolutely delicious! Nice wine selection. While the roast beef is good, the sandwich doesn't have enough meat on there. Small critique after dozens of visits. Alpine appreciates their customers and cares about this product - it shows! read more
