The food quality is excellent and the butchers are helpful. I appreciate their recognizing Veterans and giving us a discount on our bill. I grew up using the traditional butcher shop, sawdust floor and all. I assume that is no longer allowed but everything else makes it a good place to shop. Thanks James Bender read more

My wife is the primary meat shopper. She purchases our meat at the chop shop. There isn't any significant cost difference from the other local stores. However, the quality and the taste is much better at the chop shop. If you want good tasting meat from a real butcher, then but your meats at the chop shop! read more

Purchased $120 worth of Tri-tip at $15/lb and when I opened it up to marinate it, I ended having to remove 2lbs worth of fat. That's $30 down the drain. I spoke with the butcher over the phone and he pretty much told me "tough". Will never go there again. read more

The Chop Shop is a wonderful combination of deli and butcher shop. The butcher shop is just plain awesome. And the butchers are true experts. Easter weekend with many guests provided us with the opportunity to get several different roasts to satisfy the preferences of our guests. One of the butchers recommended a new pork chop cut. the most flavorful and tender pork we've ever tasted. That's what I love about the Chop Shop, the expect advice given freely and professionally. read more

Chop Shop is such a wonder butcher shop. They have quality meats and a wonderful selection. The staff is always happy to help.

Meat that would cause a vegan to reconsider. Friendly butchers serving you friendly cows.

In yesterday for a second time. Similarly to the last visit, the guys behind the counter were either chin masked or no mask at all. Disappointing and potentially dangerous... This would be five stars otherwise, as the selection of meats, veggies, spices, seafood is all great! Staff is friendly and helpful too. BUT -- in comparison to Southern Steer, where mask wearing is being taken seriously by staff, we are just not comfortable shopping here until Covid is no longer an active threat to our health. read more

Great selection of meats and things you didn't know you needed. A great shopping experience.

Great selection of meats and seafood. Employees behind the counter where attentive and helpful.

While in Florida that is the only place we buy our meat. We also love the seafood salad in the deli.

They charge $14.99/lb for tritip, which is fine until you get home to realize, unpack your meat and see that the side that side that is not displayed is all thick fat cap. When 1/3 of what you bought is useless hard fat that won't render, that a ripoff. read more

Such a unique little grocery store. Residents of Bradenton are lucky to have this specialty market located in the community. We are from Iowa. Their advertising in community papers showed that they have Iowa beef and pork. That enticed us to visit them. We bought some smoked pork chops, which were not from Iowa; however, they were as good as the best we've ever had! Next time, we will purchase some Iowa meats! The butcher and fresh fish sections were extensive and so clean. In their deli section, we found ham salad. I haven't had this in 40 years. My mom used to grind her own. It was always my favorite sandwich. This salad spread was every bit as good as I remember hers! The stocked shelves appeared to have many unique items from the local area. I look forward to returning to the Chop Shop to find more interesting items to purchase. The butchers and store clerks were very helpful and friendly. read more
