Never been to Alpine Ski before because I don't ski/snowboard. But... my family does. So, when we went shopping for a snowboard, boots, and bindings for our 16-year-old son for Christmas, Adrian rocked it with the perfect combination. We came back the day after Christmas 2020 to get him fitted for his board, and Adrian guided us to the most exceptional equipment specialist, Jacob Shaffer, who was super knowledgeable, patient, and willing to personally customize the perfect set-up. We were also able to set both kids up with awesome attire while there. Now, I can rest assured that while I hang at the bar, the kids are stoked to be on the slopes and will be safe as they shred the gnar. Props to Jacob (best.ever.) and Adrian!

While I've actually never been skiing or snowboarding, I checked this place out. Located on East, the building is an old, stand alone building between large trees. There are 2 sections to the store, the shop section & the rental section. I checked out the shop area & they have a lot of ski & snowboard options. They also have a lot of cold weather clothing, from your major brands, from light fleece jackets to thick ski/snowboard jackets. If you could wear it on the slope, they have it for you in lots of styles. The prices seemed pretty reasonable too, but what do I know about ski prices? If I spent a lot of time on the slopes, I would probably visit Alpine Ski Center a lot more often. They have a good selection of seemingly everything you would need at what seems like reasonable prices.

Great selection, they expanded and upgraded the inventory! Also have huge clothing inventory and all accessories

The store itself is spacious and well organized, with a good selection of Patagonia's outdoor apparel and gear. Everything is displayed nicely and the environment feels clean and inviting, making it easy to browse. That said, the pricing is full retail, and Patagonia products can be pretty expensive. Coming from the San Francisco Bay Area where Patagonia outlet stores are more common, I'm used to finding better deals. Because of that, I'm a bit hesitant to pay full price and tend to compare with other outdoor retailers like REI, where you can sometimes find similar gear at more competitive prices. The South End location itself is lively and fun to explore, with lots of nearby restaurants, coffee shops, and dessert spots. It's a great area to walk around and make a few stops while you're there. Parking can be a bit challenging in South End, especially during busy times, so plan accordingly. Insider tip: If Patagonia runs a seasonal sale, this would be a great place to come back and browse again. Overall, a nice store in a great neighborhood--definitely worth a look if you're already shopping or dining in South End.

With the bike sitting all winter, my sealant had completely dried out, and so I was forced to retreat, back to the house. However, on my way back home, I remembered that my neighborhood bike shop is sometimes open around this time so I decided to test my luck and see if I could stop by for a quick repair. When I pulled up to the store, the parking lot was packed, so I assumed the store was open, but when I walked in with my bike, I realized that they were having a reception for an upcoming, charity bike event, and the store was actually closed. However, there was one gentleman still behind the service counter, working on a bike. So after I explained to him that I simply needed a tire repaired, he decided to help me out. What started as a quick repair on my front tubeless tire ended up being a full refill of sealant in both my front and back tire. He also checked out my gears and brakes and recommended that I bring the bike back in to have the chain and cassette serviced. While I was standing at the counter, waiting for my tires to be completed, another one of the store owners, walked over and invited me into the bike reception and encouraged me to grab a couple of pieces of pizza. I thought this was pretty dope because the bike reception was mostly roadies, and I'm a mountain biker. Typically, the two crowds don't mix, but I appreciate the hospitality. This is my second or third time getting service work done at the store and each time has been a great experience. I would definitely recommend them if you're looking for service with a personal touch!

I called ahead first to make sure they service all kinds of bikes and they explained their first come policy. Parker helped me out by giving my bike a once over before settling in. Recommended a new chain, but not pressured to replace it at all. Just provided the options. After getting my information, they gave me an estimate of when to pick up the bike... I think it was 3 days and they called on the 3rd day to tell me the bike was ready. Came to pick it up and paid without any issues. Just need to start putting some miles on the bike now (no excuses for me). All of the staff are super nice an knowledgeable. I would come back here in a heart-beat. My only ding would be the parking lot... I have a roof rack and some of the spots in front of the store "dip"... Probably a short-person problem, but I did have some issues off loading my bike since I was a little shorter standing in the dip, but totally understand it is probably for drainage. The traffic on Selwyn is a little crazy, but there are multiple entrances, just watch out for the other cars parking for the neighboring businesses. It looks like you can easily park on the street on Brandywine so that you don't have to deal with the spots... I'll keep this in mind later if I come for a group ride or future visits.
