I needed professional clothing, shoes, and luggage for work, so I made the drive out here--and I found everything I needed in one trip. One of my best purchases was a beautiful piece of luggage from Travelpro at a great price. Many of the stores also offer additional discounts if you sign up for their rewards programs, which can make the savings even better. Stores I frequent most: * Banana Republic * J.Crew * Ann Taylor * LOFT * Saks Off 5th * Old Navy (very large location with great basics) * Le Creuset -- always fun to browse, even if just window shopping If you have the time to look carefully and shop strategically, you can really find high-quality items here at excellent prices. However, I do like the variety of stores and in my case the only osh kosh and carter kids clothing stores in the area. There are multiple parking lots so finding a space has never been an issue. I came during thanksgiving/christmas and the decorations are very nice. They have signage for a variety of holiday events happening (pics of your dog and Santa etc). There is a food court, shake shack, and Starbucks. My kids love the small play structure. It is very small and probably only entertaining for kids 4 and younger. I appreciate the clean bathrooms inside the food court- especially the family restrooms which has a small toilet for kids.

I used to work at a full line Nordstrom years ago, so I know quality when I see it. That's why I love the Rack because you can always expect good brands at better prices than you'd find at the full line store. To some people, Nordstrom Rack still feels a little pricey for a discount store, but you really have to compare it to the original full line price tags. I live in the NoDa area, and I will say this location was a bit farther out than I expected, about 25 minutes from my house. I was honestly surprised that there isn't a Nordstrom Rack closer to the city. This one is more on the outskirts, which is fine, but it does make quick trips or exchanges a little less convenient. Yes, you can return items at the full line Nordstrom, but sometimes you just want to browse and see what's new. Parking here was easy, and the store itself was clean and well organized. Coming from Houston and then Florida, I wasn't used to seeing so many coats in stock, so that actually caught my attention. They had a big winter selection, and I ended up leaving with a super cute trench coat, a puffer jacket, and a couple of other cold weather pieces since I know Charlotte winters are going to be colder. The staff was about as friendly as you'd expect at a Nordstrom Rack, but they moved quickly, and the checkout line wasn't long. I was greeted warmly, had a fitting room started for me, and was tempted to buy half the store! I came back another day for some pieces I didn't purchase the previous time, but they were gone :( There's a sort of thrill and disappointment at seeing the limited availability. Creates a sort of shopping rush to the experience! However, I did notice not all the staff are as warm as I experienced on my first shopping experience there. The site described that it is a consignment store that sells a mix of new and consignment clothing for women, children, and some home items. The windows displayed some luxury brand items and packaging, which was quite impressive. Staff greeted everyone warmly when you entered and they were happy to help out. I decided to browse on my own and enjoyed looking through the racks at my own leisure. Most of the brands I saw were some for a little older demographic at the time, but there were some familiar names like Chloe, Zara, and others. I liked how there was a clear division to show what side the consignment items were on and which side the newer items were on. (Right side of the store for the former and left for the latter.) While I didn't walk out of there with anything, it was fun looking. Parking options are street parking or finding a lot.
