Alpine Pediatrics told me I wasn't allowed to come back to their practice because I didn't want to vaccinate my kids, even though the reason is because I had a vaccine brain injury for which the vaccine injury fund paid me $130,000 admitting fault in the situation. Because of this, my children are at a higher risk of injury than others. Apparently money or power is more important than individualized care. If my child had a peanut allergy, would I be asked to not come back? I guess we're not allowed to be allergic to vaccines, that's not politically correct. read more

This is a very convenient location and a very clean one I might add. Discovered this little gem as I was looking for a very specific doctor/pediatrician to the littles and found this location because of this doctor and his background. Came to meet Dr. Weston Spencer, and boy oh boy what a gem he is! He is very personable, great personality, and just made everyone feel at home instantly. I felt at peace immediately as soon as we met him and knew that we made a fantastic choice for the kids' choice of pediatrician. He communicates well and very clear. There's no questions unanswered and concerns are put at ease. In addition, the staff here are very friendly and really easy to make an appointment with the staff. The office is very clean, presentable, and you can actually smell "hand sanitizer" in the air. Everything is wiped down, and they follow strict protocol with COVID regulations. You can check in once you pull up to the parking lot, and a member of the staff will walk out to your car and walk you in once they are ready for you. Internal decor is fantastic. Every wall is accessorized so that it leaves you feeling like you're not at some "clinic" or a typical doctor's office. Patient rooms are nicely spaced out from the front desk area. We are so glad to have found this quaint gem in our neighborhood! read more

We LOVE Alpine Pediatrics in Pleasant Grove. I've been taking my daughter there to see Dr Spencer for over 2 years now and have nothing but positive things to say. Dr Spencer is very attentive and answers all my questions (even the silly first time mom questions he answers politely and explains things thoroughly). He is also very good with my daughter. He interacts her very nicely in a way that helps her feel comfortable. I have also seen a few other providers when Dr Spencer was not available and was very happy with their service as well. doctors there are amazing. however, if you ever need to call and ask the nurse a question.... forget it - i've NEVER waited less than 30 minutes. usually 40-60 just to just talk to someone!! with multiple kids, i would like a better alternative than a forever long wait time. it's really bad and seems like there could be a very easy solution. read more

HORRIBLE. Disgusting, deceitful, lying, absolutely the worst office, STAY AWAY. They keep erasing my reviews because I'm actually making a difference and people are dropping them like flies. I've had more than 40 people message me just from a post I made this morning about them telling me how awful this corporation is. My son nearly died after they injected him with a heb b vaccine. I told them I wasn't going to inject him again and they agreed and even wrote me letters to dismiss him from getting them. Up until we met with Joseph Cassidy yesterday and he told me "he doesn't believe in that and he wouldn't ever write something like that" that's great I could care less, but you're not in charge or dictate my sons life, I do.I asked if they would sign a contract stating it won't kill my son, and they couldnt/refused. (That's why they have YOU sign something before stating you can't go after them if your child does in fact die or get autism or other side affects) They care more about a paycheck than a child's life. There are SO many other pediatricians that allow the parents to choose what's going inside their child. Utah Valley and Wasastch Ped are both amazing. Stay clear from this place. They lie and could care less if your child dies, as long as they get their paycheck for it. (Remember they don't make money off healthy kids) You can keep erasing my reviews you POS company. Patient of 13 years - We used to recommend our friends here. I kept going, even though it's been less than amazing. However, this is my final straw. I used them to get tested for Covid so my boys could go to an event (they needed a negative test). Took the test 2 days before our event. I'm calling and calling-- no one is helpful. The recording on their hold line says to download an app to view the results. I do that. I call the hospital directly and that app their line says to download isn't at all connected to Alpine Peds. Lack of correct information!! The nurse finally calls me back, 2 hours before our event, and says they misplaced the samples. My kids missed out on going to an event because of inconsistency and lack of care. I will be transferring to another pediatric office. Definitely not impressed. Not only did they cost me an experience for my kids but they didn't even say sorry or try and help me find a facility (out of state now for said event!) that could get us a Rapid Test. read more

We have enjoyed seeing Dr. Rowan for the last few months. He's good with my 3 kids and it's right up the street from us it's been nice to be able to walk the kids to the dr. But we were extremely disappointed with our last visit. My almost 2 year old started acting tired, no appetite, and producing fevers last Tuesday. It was off and on so we wanted to wait to see if it cleared up. Saturday it was a lot worse so we took her to an Insta Care. Even after having Tylenol he was marking her fever at 100.2 He gave her an antibiotic in case of infection and told us to see her doctor Monday if it wasn't clearing up. Monday was a holiday so we didn't get to see Dr. Rowan but saw Dr. Gunther. She didn't check throat or ears for infection, didn't take a temperature and told us she "looked fine." She said, "it may have well been a well child checkup she's doing so well." Seriously?!! My wife went home and balled! We only have a high deductible type insurance so we have to pay the full cost of that meaningless visit. After a 2 year old has had a fever for over a week you think any dr would want to check over her really good. Sorry but this was awful. read more

My friend recommended Alpine Pediatrics after I vented about our physician - again. Our previous physician had hour-long wait times, grumpy receptionists, and rude/incompetent nurses; we were more than ready to switch providers. We have never had an unpleasant experience here. I can't think of a single time we've had to wait more than 5 minutes for both well-checks or sick visits. The receptionists are great and personable over the phone and in person. They are good about working with your schedule and preferred provider. Love them! We've seen a couple of the providers at the office and they've all been very compassionate and personable with me and my kids. They are very good at explaining issues and potential treatments clearly for both me and my daughter to understand. They listen to and talk directly to my daughter which helps her feel more comfortable and confident about the proposed treatment. One time a doctor blew nitrogen on his own skin to show my daughter what would happen when he froze her wart off. It helped her anxiety a ton and allowed it to be a better experience. Dr. Cox is our go-to physician and he does a great job explaining the pros and cons of a treatment path and what our options are. I HIGHLY recommend Alpine Pediatrics for your kids. read more

I have been trying to get my child's prescription filled for three days with no luck. After sitting on their online chat for five hours waiting for a reply from a nurse I decided to call instead. I then sat on hold for 45 minutes to an hour before giving up and attempting to go in person. When I went in person they refused to help me, stating I would have to wait on hold or online. A simple call back would have worked great but that's not offered. It makes me nervous putting the health of my child in their hands when they can't even figure out a effective solution for something as simple as filling prescriptions. read more

Alpine Pediatrics has several amazing doctors for my little guy!! From day one, they came every day to the hospital to check on him. They're all super friendly and just a wonderful staff! We've been working more with Dr Weston Spencer and he's been a joy!! He's super smiley and very informative! (This is my first baby so I'm new to all this stuff) he's been so great at explaining everything I need to know. I don't always know what questions to ask but he seems to know what to say to answer the questions I didn't know I had. Love love love this office! read more

We have seen three four different doctors here (either they checked in our son while he was in the nicu or check-ups at the office). They have all been extremely knowledgeable and kind. Dr Arnold eases a lot of the stress that comes with being a new parent. For example, I was diligently tracking each feeding and diaper change--making copious notes. Dr. Arnold explained how this was unnecessary as our son was growing well and was in good health, so I didn't have to work sooo hard. Not only did he care about my son's health but my mental health as well. He also explains things carefully and answers all questions kindly (even silly ones). I don't love how they collect $250 at the time of the circumcision if the baby isn't officially on the insurance or how deductible insurance plans require $50 at the time of the visit, BUT I understand why they do it. They've been fairly clear about what to expect in that regard. read more

My barely 5-yr-old daughter's been fighting high fevers, severe stomach cramps, lack of appetite and noticeable lethargy on and off for several weeks. Alpine Peds couldn't identify the issue after 2 blood draws, 2 urine tests and an abdominal xray. In fact, their recommendation was to do yet another blood draw in order to create a blood culture and then begin discussions with the Pediatric Infectious Disease Specialist. After spiking at 105 & 106 multiple times over the past weekend... and an additional (after hours) visit to Alpine Pediatrics... My husband and I determined that our best bet would be to head over to Primary Children's Hospital. We were confident that they'd be able to discover {and hopefully rectify} the underlying issue. We entered through the ER and were officially admitted for overnight observation just an hour and a half later. After only twenty-four hours, two blood draws, one urine sample, and a renal ultrasound... our daughter is now comfortably resting back at home with 2 doses of antibiotics already coursing through her petite little body. The diagnosis? A UTI infection, bladder infection, and double kidney infection. Seriously? I'm speechless. I only wish Alpine Peds could have handled it in the WEEK they'd spent with her, collecting blood and analyzing urine. The added emotional, physical, and financial costs that have resulted are unnecessary and so unfortunate. I'm saddened even more by the fact that the PA & docs at Alpine Peds are pretty great individuals - and interact amazingly well with my kiddos! But it's clearly not the RIGHT fit, and we'll be moving on. read more

Our family, with 5 kids, were patients here for years. my toddler was sick for months before they finally were able to diagnose her issue as a UTI - which happened twice. My kids regularly went to well visits and never came back with any red flags. We then moved to Texas and my sons first well visit there he was diagnosed with scoliosis and asthma. Never caught by anyone at Alpine Peds. Now, I just called the office because when cleaning I found a $15 bill and called the handle it only to find out it was sent to collections! We had moved cross country, fought covid, unemployment, severe mental health issues and job loss so the bill just got lost in the shuffle. Even now, after calling them and two other collections agencies no one can find the bill or take my payment and I'm just getting bounced around. This office has now affected the health of 2 of my children, and my credit score. Do not recommend. read more

these people keep sending me emails. for YEARS i have received emails that mean NOTHING to me because i have NEVER been to their office, i don't live in utah and i don't even have kids! i've asked on MANY occasions for them to remove me from the list but they haven't. i've sent their emails to junk and somehow they keep coming back from the dead. these doctors and their staff obviously don't know their customers or care about anyone but themselves. super irritating. read more

My son was diagnosed with hand foot and mouth and we were disappointed with the advice we received from Dr. Rodney A. Pollary. His advise to us was that we could do absolutely nothing to help our child recover other than give him baking soda baths. This obviously didn't sit well with us so we decided to just stop by the local Walmart Pharmacy and ask for their advice. They recommended several creams that would help with the itching and spreading of the hand food and mouth. This advice ended up being extremely helpful for us and I'm sure the recovery for our son would have been much more miserable had we not received this advise from the nearby Walmart Pharmacy. read more

We have had multiple problems with Alpine Pediatrics. Every time our son is sick we end up having to go to them 3 times and nothing is done. We call them and ask them questions and they tell us it sounds like we need to bring him in, and they never end up doing anything but telling us what we already know, "he has a cough, and a fever..." Our first major sickness was that our son ended up having swine flu and it took 3 visits for them to figure that out... oh and us telling them that he had a 104 fever for the 7 days that we kept talking to them! We never got any medicine or anything for the 3 times we went, and the best part is for the swine flu the government subsidized the medicine for it so it would have been FREE for us if they would have done their job! Instead they let us and our son suffer for the 7 days of no sleep, 104 fever, cough, vomiting, etc. We had the same thing happen to us through 2 more sicknesses. We thought we would keep giving them another chance but after 3 times of being sick with this office and every time it is amazing that they have us come in 3 times with doing nothing and giving a diagnosis finally on the 3rd visit, it is amazing how clockwork it is! We are no longer going with Alpine Pediatrics as we have found and after finally talking with family, friends, and neighbors finding out that it is the same with them. I think this office needs to figure out that they are their because of the patients and figure out how to take care of children right or go into a different line of work, because greed is not a way to run a doctors office. read more

I took my babies here for over 4 years. We always saw Dr. Whiting for well checks. He never said anything really about us wanting to delay vaccines and decline some. But recently alpine peds bullied & threatened my good friend saying that they won't treat or see her child unless she is updated on all vaccines (which goes against the doctor's Hippocratic oath). This is sickening to me. I called to see if it was true and it was confirmed. I no longer take my kids there. They've never once offered any informed consent on any of the vaccines they force. These poor moms usually have NO idea what their babies are being injected with, what the adverse reactions could be, that they're not even effective like they say, and not safe and tested as they claim them to be. Most doctors don't even know the horrible ingredients. My advice: do your own research and read the vaccine inserts, and don't be afraid to question what the normal protocol is. I want a doctor who truly cares for my children's health and well being. read more

I hate to give a low rated review because I absolutely love Alpine Pediatrics and I love my son's doctor Dr. Spencer but I had an experience the last time I went in that has really been upsetting me, no matter how hard I try to let it go it still boils my blood every time I think about it. When waiting to be called back my mother took my son to the bathroom and I was speaking to the receptionist to make sure our insurance was in the system. The nurse came called for us and I quickly apologized and said my son was in the bathroom and it would be one second, she immediately became irritated. So I hurried and tried to get into the bathroom to grab my son which took about 10-20 seconds and I could tell the nurse was getting frustrated (I can understand her being a little annoyed that she had to wait on us I know that isn't her job) I again apologized and grabbed my son. Everything went great with Dr. Spencer (as usual) and the nurse came back in to give my 18 month old a shot. She asked me to hold his hands and gave him the shot. My son began to cry and me Not thinking started to clap to distract him and let go of his hands. The nurse very irritated now asked me to grab his hands so she could put on the bandaid (again I can understand her getting annoyed with me it was a mistake on my part and completely understood why she would get irritated) I quickly apologized and grabbed my sons arms, but then my son was pushing his legs around making it difficult to get the bandaid on. She became even more frustrated then under her breath and rudely got after my BABY for moving. Then once she got the Bandaid on she quickly and rudely left the room. Not one word of comfort or compassion for this BABY who just got a needle in his leg and is moving around because it hurts but instead gets angry and annoyed with him. I understand being annoyed with me and maybe her just being in a bad mood but to get nasty towards my child after you prick him with a needle is absolutely uncalled for and unprofessional. I have never experienced such a unkind/bad pediatric nurse she had no bed side manner, was immediately short and irritated with us, and treated a baby in a way that's uncalled for. All other nurses here have always been kind and comforted my baby when giving and after shots and always treated him kindly, not like a nuisance. I usually let things like this go and never complain even if I had a bad experience but when you treat my child badly I have no patience. I hope this nurse was just having a bad day if not I do not believe she should be working with children if this is always her attitude I was extremely unimpressed and displeased with her. read more

We started to go to Alpine Pediatrics about 5 years ago after seeing other pediatricians. It has been a great experience. We never have a long wait and we've seen multiple doctors there. The nurses and doctors have always done a fantastic job from dealing with virus's to stitches to wart removal. Doctor Arnold is our main doctor and he's great! I have been going there since my 2 year old daughter has been born. I went in yesterday and was self pay. I called billing the morning of to insure that I knew exactly how much to expect. I asked a couple of times, "there will be no other charges, right?". I ended up waiting over 50min with a 6mo old and 2 yr old in the room. I tried to pay upon checking out, but they were not ready. I called today and low and behold they had added $25 to my bill. I expressed my concern and they didn't care or listen. Needless to say I will be taking my two children somewhere else from now on. I also will not be recommending Alpine Pediatrics to any of my friends. I do not feel like they have the patients best interest in mind or they would have honored what they told me the morning of. We have been coming to Alpine Pediatrics for years. My kids go here and my grandkids got here. We had a terrible experience on Friday. My son had two spots on his leg what look like bug bites but they were getting big and he had them for over a week. I work during the day so I called the after hours clinic. I made an appointment for 9:30 PM and when I got to the doctors office we were scheduled to see a nurse practitioner named Darren Leslie. The first thing he said to us very rudely was what emergency brings you here at 9:30 at night. He knew where we were there because the girl that talk to me first went out and told him so he was annoyed that we were there for these so-called bug bites at 9:30 at night. I showed him the bites or what I thought were bites,and he prescribe my son and anti-itch cream. My son went all weekend with a horrible infection and by Tuesday since Monday was a holiday he had a huge red circle around these two marks. I took him to a new doctor and they squeezed out some of the infection and have culture that and we will know by tomorrow what my child has but she immediately started him on A strong antibiotic. I also called their office manager to let them know was going on and I never heard back from him. I would be very careful using their physician assistant Darren Leslie if you think sure there because it's nonemergency he won't take you seriously. I assumed I was able to use there after hours clinic because I work all day and I noticed this after hours but I would never go to this after hours clinic less your child is very sick and there is a clinic I have a blocked on the road called Premier family medical and they're the ones that help me out with my son and his infected leg. read more

Alpine Pediatrics makes updating overdue vaccinations overly difficult. My wife's family are anti-vaxxers, and it has been a real struggle for me to convince her to let our kids get vaccinated. She finally caved and allowed an initial vaccination at Alpine Pediatrics. They were personable and friendly, and said to come back any time to complete the series. The struggle to vaccinate continued at home, so our youngest's school saying she needed to be up to date seemed like the perfect way to finally get the kids fully vaccinated. But... Alpine wouldn't see them because they weren't up to date. They told me to just Google the health department. When I got hold of the health department, they said I needed a record of what immunizations they had, and since Alpine had already done one round, I actually had to go to their offices and get the records for the kids they'd seen and started the series on but refused to see now so I could take them to the health department. I get protecting against preventable disease, but with the anti-vaccine movement causing so much damage to our collective immunity, places like Alpine Pediatrics should be making getting healthy, symptom-free kids up to date on the immunizations a priority, not a chore. If having healthy but under-vaccinated kids there is really such a health threat, the least they could do is provide information on how to get up to date and the records that are required to do so rather than saying to "just google it". read more

I wish I could give them no stars...while the wait times are low and and its convenient for wellness checks I will not trust them with my sick child ever again! My 11 month old daughter had a fever of almost 104 for a couple days. When I finally decided to take her in she had had the fever for 4 days...I was able to get in quickly but the visit was about as long at the wait the doctor looked in her ears at her throat and told me that it was just a virus and that she would be feeling better in just a couple days and reassured me that first time moms tend to overreact....after 2 more days of a constant fever and getting to the point where she would not eat or drink for a whole day throwing up stomach bile and was basically lethargic I decided to take her back in despite the doctor telling me to wait it out. This time I took her in to the after hours clinic right before closing which entailed an even shorter visit of again looking in her ears and throat and brushing it off as just a virus. I tried telling the doctor about her lack of intake and output therefore being worried about her being dehydrated. Again he assured me it would pass soon. The next day I decided to get a second opinion from another pediatrician come to find out she had a horrible UTI and was severely dehydrated which landed her in the hospital with IV antibiotics and fluids to get her hydrated again. Because she had gone so long with an untreated infection she had to have ultrasounds of her kidneys to be sure they were not affected by the infection. She also had many lab draws to be sure that the infection had not entered her bloodstream, thank goodness it hadn't but I'd hate to think about how much worse it could have gotten if I would have accepted the 'its just a virus' diagnosis. read more

We love Alpine Pediatrics and Dr. Johnson! We've been taking our children there for over 11 years. Most recently my son was having trouble breathing and we took him in Friday night. The doctor on call, Dr. Alba, came in, and decided he needed to be admitted to the hospital. He was found to have pneumonia and stayed for two days. We were grateful for his quick thinking. We have had several good experiences over the years and are grateful we have them for our children. read more

My wife and I have been going to Alpine Pediatrics for about two years now. We have two boys one is 18 months and the other is 4 months. I don't know if its been bad luck or we just drew the short end of the stick, because every time we go there its been awful. From messing up our appointment times and with the incorrect doctors, we keep requesting to be with a specific Doctor and they put us with someone else. We had waited for a month to see a specific doctor, and they put us with some someone else. So its quite frustrating that they are not consistent with the doctors that you see. One doctor butchered my son's circumcision, needless to say we aren't taking our kids here anymore. PS The only doctor there worth seeing is Doctor Arnold. read more

I went here until my insurance switched and I couldn't. They rotate doctors, and I thought they were all great. They have fish instead of toys in their office, which I appreciate (hard to keep a kid from playing with toys, but eew, kids do go here because they are sick!) And they have separate entrances for sick and well kids, which is nice. They use Ipads instead of computers, which is also nice when you have a kid who is obsessed with cords :) They give you a nice baby book/guide thing when you first have your kid, and they give you handouts about their age at each appointment. And I didn't have problems with wait time. I was very happy at this office. read more
