We've been staying at Hampton Inn's for the last week on a cross country trip but it was late and we needed a place to sleep and some of the other reviews sounded ok so we gave it a try. The front desk clerk was really annoyed to check us in. The room was old and tired. The towels could be used for sandpaper. Walls were super thin... you get the picture. So, if you need a cheap place to sleep then check in here.... but if you are used to Hampton or Courtyards then don't even think about this place. read more

When I-70 shut down I wasn't sure what we would do. Made it to Georgetown to pause for dinner and saw that the Alpine Inn had vacancy. The staff was very helpful. They charged a very reasonable price, they had a pool (with water guns!), and were very accommodating even with our dog. What was a spur-of-the-moment decision will likely be an intentional place to stay in the future. read more

1 star... Why?? We showed up at maybe 2 45. Check in was at 4. And, somehow, apparently that's when their cleaning crew starts because they didn't have a single room for us to check into (the most common kind.. 2 queens). My youngest was sick. So, instead of him vomiting in a toilet, he threw up in the car. Yay, us. So, we cruised over to the Lowe's in our vomit car, with our vomit kid and got some cleaning supplies. Honestly, if I wouldn't have PAID ALREADY (that's right folks, our reservation was paid in full before our 2 45 arrival) I would have paid double to go elsewhere. It took a lot for me to hold back as we returned to check in at 4. I seriously wanted to verbally assault the girl at the desk. Clean. Large rooms. Ok, pool. Close to some stuff. Like Whole Foods and like 5 miles from the outlets. Expensive washers and dryers. I only know because I had to was the puke out of various items. All and all... The whole you can't check in 1:15 mins early with your sick toddler thing pissed me off. So, I would never go back. It's that good (and by good I mean horse s*it) customer service that really leaves a lasting impression. Owner/Management : You seem to be GREAT at it with all those 1 star reviews. Worst Hotel experience I have ever had. I booked via Hotels.com without checking the map for the location. I did not realize that it was a pitching wedge from I 70. My 8 year old son and I got our room and with 5 minutes and 3 motorcycles passing later we realized that the highway noise was going to be an issue. We went back to front desk and asked to change rooms, the front desk person (Grelinda) I believe was her name had to call her manager and went to inspect the room to be sure that we hadn't trashed it the 5min we were in there. The room looked fine, she grilled us about having used the restroom and my son had gone #1. She said he had gone pee and she was not authorized to clean anything (and we all know that sanitation engineer is a such a rare and specialized skill set especially considering that he lifted the seat and there was ZERO evidence that he had gone) she could not change the room. I was so annoyed with the poor service that I opted to skip the stay and drive the 2 hours home to Centennial. read more

Stayed here Nov. 21-23, 2019 easy parking, check-in was at 4 but got in a little early at 3, room was clean, staff was friendly, breakfast was good(pancakes, bagels, muffins, cereals, boiled eggs, juices, etc.), and it was walking distance from outer range brewing and a whole foods. Made for an easy commute for us going to Copper mountain and visiting Lake Dillion and Silverthorne. Relatively cheap price, I believe 100/night for a King. Not too flashy and imo was perfect for us to snowboard and explore the local area. read more

So two stars means "meh, I've experienced better," so that about fits my review for our 3-night stay. The price was decent, though next time I'll find a equal price at a ski resort. We live in Denver. I choose the Alpine Inn so the kids could swim every day apres ski, which didn't pan out as the pool was too cold. Pro's: Clean beds, bathroom Internet, although slow Cable TV with kids programming Whole Foods within walking distance Central location for Breck and Copper Easy parking Con's: The pool is kept way too cold, for my kids and us We had to hang a blanket on the window valence to be able to sleep in past sunrise. The location of the property and the rooms are what this little hotel have going for it. The rooms were clean and the price was about average for the duration of my stay. Everything service-level was horrid, even for someone who has worked in the hospitality industry and stayed at more hotels than I can remember, Alpine takes the cake for the worst. First and foremost, we arrived at the property around 7PM, not too late by any means. The front desk agent was nowhere to be found. We rang the bell on the desk quite a few times and waited for a lot longer. Nobody showed. I then decided to just walk the property and maybe I'll run into them. I did, the front desk clerk was sitting in a guest room with the door propped open, watching TV. Very professional if you ask me. Nothing says clean and professional like a hotel staff member relaxing in your room before you arrive. Let's move on to housekeeping. NOTHING was replenished. Dirty towels that were on the floor to be removed, were picked up and put back on the shelf without folding or changing them out. The toiletries in the room were also not replenished even though most were depleted entirely. The shampoo pouch, was opened and empty, put back on the shelf much like the towels. The beds were made which was great but overall it's not the level of service you'd expect in any hotel. There was nothing like the "Make a green choice" that would have prevented the towels from being replaced. Breakfast was TERRIBLE. The selection is cereal, bagels/toast, hard-boiled eggs, and fruit. The drinks were apple juice, orange juice, coffee, water, and milk. So to start with the cereal (And milk drink), there was 1 pitcher of milk put out, 2%, and it was quite warm. Not a safe bet when you're among the first to breakfast and the milk is room temperature. The Bagels were actually frozen all the way through, as was the toast. By the time you got them apart to toast them, it was a mess. The hard-boiled eggs weren't cooked at all. I attempted 4 different eggs and all of them were raw, the moment the shell cracked they oozed out onto the plate in their entirety, uncooked. The pool was awful. The hot tub was really nice and felt very clean in terms of the water, but the pool was thick with body-sweat and salt. It was probably cleaned when it was first installed but is beyond neglected at this point. I jumped in and immediately got out to take a shower because this was worse than swimming in a bog. I will never stay here again. There are a LOT of better places to stay within 1 to 2 minutes of Alpine Inn and I'd recommend any one of those over Alpine any day. read more

A tale of how an anniversary night in the mountains turned into extortion. My wife and I had no issue with this inn until we realized that our new Bose speaker, which is great, was missing.... My wife called and they said they had not found it. Panic ensued, and the next day she called back and spoke with a manager or owner, who had found the speaker overnight. When I got to the front counter, the following day, three days after we stayed, the manager and a cleaning person, not present, claimed we had smoked in the room, (which neither one of us did) and wanted payment for the extra cleaning that somehow missed a ten-inch tall speaker. I paid the $100 to get our new $300 speaker back. Enjoy your stay. Please don't forget anything of value, and keep calling if they can't find whatever it is you may have left behind. read more

Alpine Inn was OK. The price was very low, but some of their services left very much to be desired. The check in isn't until 4pm, which is later than most hotels and campgrounds. The front desk staff seemed pretty uninterested in being at work. Especially the kid working the evening shift at the front desk. The hot tub was cold and needed to be run for 45 minutes to get warmed up. The laundry room closes at 8pm. Seriously? You close the laundry room 2 hours before quiet hours start? That makes no sense. On the plus side the rooms were pretty clean and the well furnished for the price. It wasn't a bad experience, but it wasn't great either. Next time I am in the Frisco/Copper Mountain area I will stay somewhere else, even if it costs a little more for better laundry service, better breakfast, and better customer service. read more

When it comes to cheap hotels, you throw the dice on coming home with bedbugs. That won't happen to you here. This place is inexpensive, simple, clean and comfortable. The building isn't much to look at, the rooms aren't sexy, but I enjoyed my stay. It is run by a (German?) couple and is it wrong to describe it as "mean and clean"? There is a pool and a hot tub in which to soak your battered bones. The TV is small but has HBO and the continental breakfast, while hopeful, is really just coffee and a danish. Frisco is a superb and strategic town for your mountain adventures. It is within 15 minutes of Copper Mountain, Breckenridge, Keystone and A-Basin. This Inn was spectacular. We decided to book it for a second night. We had to move to the second floor and my son forgot his iPad there in the first room we stayed in. We had left for the day to go sledding and site seeing. And the sweet Polish Attendant turned in the iPad and the owner personally waited for us to return that evening and brought it to our room. The second day wife dropped her glove somewhere in the inn and the owner again had it for us. Wonderful people and wonderful inn. I will always go back and stay there. This place is really great for the price right now. The entire hotel has been remolded and looks amazing, new breakfast area is nice compared to the old little spot that you had to take food back to your room. They have a new pool and hot tub, and after talking with the owner I found out the pool was salt water! Staff was friendly enough, breakfast though expanded was not denny's but its free and would be enough to get you going until lunch if you want to be frugal. All in all the place looks great, is super clean and a great price for everything you get, as Jerry C said its not the Hampton but boy it is really close now! read more

Was a decent experience, a plus was it was the perfect location to get on the summit shuttle and grocery store was close...Only thing really was staff was pretty unprofessional, At 2am, yes 2am, the fire alarm in our room started beeping in a high pitch sounds waking us all up, it was beeping because the batteries were low, so we called the front office and she said she will look for batteries. Batteries were not found then told us to figure it out ourselves when with this alarm you couldn't just take out the batteries it was connected with electrical wires...my boyfriend decided to rip the wires out (45 min later) because we were so tired...The thing was still beeping after being pulled from the ceiling so we decided to leave it downstairs with the lady at the desk and she was asleep peaceful lol.... read more

For what we paid, I wasn't expecting much, and I was only hoping that the place was clean. And it was! It seems to be a family run business, so it made it feel a little more homey to me, even though it wasn't the fanciest hotel. The pros:very good price, free wi-fi, clean room, fridge and microwave in room, across the street from a Safeway (with a Starbucks) The cons: the biggest issue for me was the lack of a hairdryer (but it was easily remedied. They had one I could borrow and actually it was pretty good for a hotel hair dryer), the breakfast (but really what do you expect. For the price, I wasn't expecting anything.), lack of coffee maker in the room (that would be really nice, but there's coffee in the breakfast area and if it's too early, there's the Starbucks across the road). As far as bang for your buck, this place is a five out of five. I would definitely come back and recommend it to friends. read more

Ok so me and my husband took a road trip from Cali to Iowa and Frisco was an overnight stop and we decided on this place cuz of the location and price!! As soon as I get to a hotel I check everything to make sure there are no signs of bed bugs!! This place was clean!!! Everything we needed in a room for just an overnight stay!!! The girl at check in was so nice and helpful!!! I would stay here again and recommend it to a friend! Only down side was I felt like crap cuz of the altitude :( read more

Can't best it for the price! We had to stop for the night due to snow and accidents on 70. I checked the hotel out on Yelp first, of course, then called to ask a few Qs. The receptionist was really nice and helpful, and gave alternate driving directions so that we could get here w/o having to get back on 70, which at the time was one big mess. The room is clean and has all we need for one night - microwave, fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer, tv, wifi. Beds and pillows are comfy. The saltwater pool is great! Our kids spent about 2 hours swimming off and on, and no eye irritation. This hotel is a true bargain! read more

i definitely feel like i got what i expected and more from the alpine inn! we didn't have any problems with cleanliness (the pool could have been a little better but i feel that way about all public pools) and i thought our room was perfect. yes the tv's a little small and it's not the most swanky of rooms but it was definitely everything we needed. the pool and hot tub were also nice after a day of boarding. location: right off the highway, but i didn't have any problem with traffic noise. perfect for what we needed: 20 minutes from loveland (for boarding) and 20 minutes away from breckenridge (for dinner, shopping etc.) frisco itself is a pretty cute town also! also, short walk to safeway. breakfast: at least there's hot coffee, that's all i needed! we brought our own cereal but the pastry was a nice addition. room amenities: mini fridge, microwave, tv, but no hair dryer. i was pleasantly surprised by the fridge+microwave combo, i didn't really expect that. and the no hairdryer thing was not a big deal. oh! and free wi-fi. definitely a plus. service: everyone i came in contact with was friendly and willing to help us out. overall, i'm happy that we chose to stay here, and i'd definitely stay here again. =) read more

Wouldn't recommend this place. Was planning on staying a little over a week but do to the way they kept the place we decided to leave after the first night! After I explained to the manager about how dirty our room was she became very offensive stating she personally checked our room..unfortuently she dropped the bar that day because food from the people before was left on the floor and stuffed in the couch :( gross! I hate the akward feeling of confronting someone with negative feedback trying to avoid confrontation and the manager did not agree with my dissatisfaction and charged a cancelation fee? Why? My husband and I stayed the night last week for our three year anniversary trip. We left a very nice, brand new Bose speaker in the room ($300 speaker). I called two days after we stayed when I unpacked and noticed it missing. They told us they had the speaker and we could come get it. My husband drove an hour and half to the hotel and asked for the speaker, at which point he was told that housekeeping said we were smoking in the room, and they would not give him the speaker without $100 in cash. They refused to return our items without this bribe. We did not smoke in the room (I don't even smoke); when I told them to check the security footage to see my husband sitting on the bench outside every time he smoked, the manager told us they didn't have cameras (not true, you can see them all over). When I spoke to the owner, she said they would not be reviewing the CCTV footage, since they already had the money and it was 'too late' because we weren't getting the money back. Even if we had smoked in the room, which we assuredly did not, the hotel has you sign a form at check in and leave a credit card deposit of $250 for a smoke cleaning fee that they can charge you for the day you check out. They didn't charge us at check out as we hadn't smoked in the room, but waited until four days later and demanded that we had and wouldn't return our property without a $100 cash bribe. Beware of staying here - they are crooks, thieves and liars. read more

My partner and I were looking to stay for about a week in Frisco as a nice vacation spot to explore some good outdoors and spend time together away from the city. We've both wanted to visit Colorado for a long time, and saw Frisco as a great place to do that. Part of that view of Frisco was the low cost and great quality of the Alpine Inn. Given that this was our first time traveling together, it was a step of faith to go with the Alpine Inn. Many local hotels were significantly more expensive than what we thought was reasonable, given similar amenities to the Alpine Inn. Besides the hurtful and dishonest review given by Brandt below, my partner and I concluded from reviews and research that the Alpine Inn would be a nice home-away-from-home during our trip. Fortunately, the Alpine Inn exceeded our expectations during our longer-term stay. We learned that the establishment is certainly not for the seasoned traveler with Ritz-Carlton-like expectations. The business is very no bells-and-whistles, yet provides a warm and comfortable feel to its guests regardless. We interacted with three different desk staff during the course of our stay- all of whom were visible and extremely helpful and friendly to us. The breakfast between 6:30am-9:30am was indeed modest. While economic in selection, the bagels, toast, jam, muffins, fruit, hard-boiled eggs, coffee, and juice were a nice fix. There was plenty of seating in the main dining area as well as out near the lobby. The Main Street area of Frisco is home to some excellent breakfast selections as well for those seeking a wider range of dining options. We did not visit the pools during our stay, and so cannot provide personal feedback about them. Our room was quite spacious and very clean. A sink and mirror are placed outside the bathroom, maximizing room space. This did come at the cost of a smaller bathroom, which didn't bother us in the least. The bath/shower was plenty spacious, and the water heated very quickly to desirable temperature. The bed was cleaned and made daily around 11:00am. The television atop a large dresser was very handy and well-placed. The miniature refrigerator was quite spacious, as well. Our windows faced out towards the town and provided and ample amount of natural light when opened. There were many lighting fixtures (standing lamps, desk lamps) around the room, providing options for a lighting the room when the sun went down. Of course, there were also main light switches near the entrance of the room. It was also quite handy to have bedside lamps with built-in outlets at their base. We were pleased with the ease of charging our electronic devices this way. For the most part, the room and surrounding rooms were very quiet. We did have neighboring guests who made a bit of noise (sounded like they were moving furniture), but nothing especially disturbing or disruptive. The nights were very quiet. The room also featured very easy temperature control both on the main heating/cooling unit underneath the window, and a control unit on a wall across the room. This was a critical feature for my partner and I, since she is quite sensitive to the cold, whereas I find myself sweltering at her preferred temperature. The geographic location of the Alpine Inn has its advantages- it is steps away from a Safeway, Walmart, Rio Grande Mexican restaurant (great lunch menu!), Whole Foods, and a mountain gear shop. The establishment is also directly across the street from the Frisco Station Bus stop, where a selection of no-charge buses traveling within and outside Frisco stop quite frequently. This was another critical advantage of the Alpine Inn, and likely will be for any guests without a car or other means of transportation. Some exceptional points are as follows: - My partner and I met some misfortune in missing the last bus to Frisco from Denver due to previous transportation arriving in Denver quite late. I called the Alpine Inn main line and asked if they could shift our reservation forward by one day to accommodate our situation. Without missing a beat, the staff immediately sympathized with me and accepted my request. To my surprise, we were not charged any sort of late-change or cancellation fee for the reservation adjustment. We are immensely grateful for this kind gesture. - Our connecting bus back to Denver from Frisco left on our check-out date at 5:50am, hours earlier than the declared 11:00am check-out time. Upon inquiring about this predicament with the desk staff, they were happy to make a note for the overnight desk staff that we needed to check-out early. That morning, the desk staff was present and courteous in accommodating our needs. We are additionally grateful for this. - The establishment overall was very clean and tidy. The lobby, front desk, hallways, dining area, and lounge area had no sign of blemish or mess. This greatly enhanced the neat and professional atmosphere of the establishment. read more

Not quite sure who is writing all the positive reviews on this place but it is a dump. The lobby is the size of a closet and the front desk is shoved up against a small stairway to the rooms. The person at the counter for check in was rude and was not welcoming at all, instead I had to initial and sign on spaces threatening a fine if there were any pets. Really? read more

If you are a heavy sleeper, then you'll likely love this new and updated hotel with its clean rooms and comfy touch. If you are a light sleeper, as I am, than stay away. Starting at 6 a.m. I could hear people moving about all morning (mostly from above me) - toilets flushing, some kind of last-drop-of-shampoo tapping, and footsteps back and forth. Also it is too close to the freeway and the sound of semi-trucks rumbling by kept me from good sleep. Nice hotel for the price and mountainous location, bad for light sleepers. read more

Good value for your money. If I am in Frisco again, I will definitely book this hotel again. Staff was helpful, quick, and accommodating. Breakfast at 8:30 on a Sunday wasn't crowded. It emptied out around 9. If you have a child, they only have one crib, and it is on a first come first served basis. Toiletries were very basic (shampoo was in a packet), but I do appreciate the makeup remover toiletry. That was a pleasant surprise. Hotel was clean, and I liked how airy and welcoming the lobby was. The hotel is also a walkable distance to Whole Foods. I also liked that the bathroom sink was separate from the bathroom. Convenient. read more

This place is a get what you pay for situation. The bed comfy, clean, but not much after that. It can be loud, we could head people above us the entire time, and woke us up. The biggest compliant is no extra pillows. We were given 4 flat pillows on our king bed and requested more each night and were told to go to walmart if we needed a pillow. Big disappointment! Good luck cancelling a reservation. Read their policies-you will literally NEVER get a full refund. If you booked for more than one night they will keep the full amount for the first night and refund the remainder. There is some fine print when booking that states you have to cancel a month prior to booking in December and January-contradicts the policy on their website. Manager is rude and has no intentions on working with anyone. I would skip this place and try the next one. read more

This hotel has a no smoking policy but does not have a no marijuana or no vaping policy listed. The old world hotel owner detected a feint smell of marijuana in the room which is legal in the state and said he was charging us $250 for smoking in the room. After much debate he said he was wrong and would not charge us but as soon as we drove off he rerang the credit card illegally for $250. The hotel was a far cry from the photos on their website and hotels.com. Employees were hard to find, rude, and uninterested, the bed was uncomfortable and the blankets were threadbare. The walls and ceilings were thin and allowed pedestrian noise into the room. I would never return. What seems like a good deal on a website was an obvious setup when the front desk clerk had us leave a card for incidentals. In a place with free wifi no pay per view or mini bar, there should be no incidentals to speak of. The company is shady and likes to take advantage of tourists. Please stay at a more reputable hotel in town where the laws of commerce and trade are withheld and regarded with respect. The frisco inn on galena is a much better value with impeccable service, food, and overall experience. read more
