It was magical to see Nepal through his eyes, his hometown of Thames, tea at his parent's house, and his incredible knowledge of the area where he was born and grew up. Our 4 guides on this trip were safe and knowledgeable about the geography as well as climbing/trekking. This was my 4th International expedition with Alpine Ascents and I have climbed many Washington state peaks as well. I've been guided by Lakpa, Pete, Devin, Vern, Ben, Jangbu, Pasang, and many more. They have been fantastic teachers. The Nepal trek has a first class itinerary, the nicer tea houses, and a pace designed for slow travel. The gear list includes everything I needed and more. My guide went out of his way to take us to places we asked about, outside of the itinerary. Highly recommend.

I decided to try out this studio since it's the closest one to where I am staying. As someone who…read moreis really picky about yoga studios, I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed the studio given how little research I had done on it. They have a new student special of $25/ 2 weeks, which is incredible (especially after covid). With that student special, I was able to try a good number of instructors and at different times in the day. All instructors were really experienced: they taught really unique classes, offered great cues and had a calm confidence. Each instructor had their own style, so it'd be fun to take more classes and find instructors that resonate with your practice more. I found all the classes to be truly "all-levels", where the instructors all encouraged students to make any modifications (up or down) to suit their practice. However, as someone who has a very skills-based practice, I find it's personally difficult to truly make any all-levels class "challenging" enough, so keep that in mind if you have a similar practice. The studio space itself is small, but since they were capping the number of students per class, it wasn't overly crowded or uncomfortable. I can see that changing after covid restrictions are lifted, however.

You're laying on the ground and can see the dust and if you have allergies they'll immediately be triggered. The 'instructor' was horrible and the website falsely advertises hot rooms- it was purposefully left cold to accommodate the teacher. I've taken yin in multiple cities and this was not even close. This was yin for preschool kids. Yin here was a frog pose, child's pose, and a bridge. Additionally the sound bath is anything but... It's like they bought some bowls on Amazon and watched a YouTube. It was so bad and ear piercing that you leave you with ringing ears. Oh and to top it off the women here with the fake namaste attitudes are horribly rude. Suffice to say- don't waste your time or go here searching for a proper yoga studio or you too will experience the Walmart of yoga being culturally appropriated by a basic MAHA group.

I just don't understand the cost. when I tell people what I pay their jaws drop. they assume I go somewhere a lot nicer. I guess the 24hr feature is the big draw, but now that I have a normal schedule they could close at 10pm and I'd be fine with it. I get the impression most people would trade $20 off their bill for that. Tends to be pretty empty afterhours, even with the hospitals nearby. the reviews are interesting. I would love if they stopped playing music. for years it was the same playlist that would loop within 2hrs or so. some of my best workouts have been when they had nothing playing at all. guess I'm in the minority. The equipment is adequate. not sure why they canceled their sports package. what kind of maniac watches the masked singer while training?

To them, this apparently means one movement per breath, though my experience in their power vinyasa class felt more like three movements per breath. I could hardly keep up! I shared my perspective with the front desk after the class when I had to decide between paying for a $25 drop in v. a $40 30-day trial period, and was met basically with "that's how it's supposed to be", in so many words. I understand that these classes are taught in this method by design, but as a business-minded person, I couldn't help but think that they could draw 2-3x more people per each class if they adapted a bit to the status quo of the Seattle yoga scene. With a location as prime as this one, don't you want to make more money by practicing yoga that (more) people will actually enjoy? SLU doesn't seem like the place for a stronghold of a fairly niche method of yoga... It seems like people probably go here just because there isn't a better option so close to work. The frantic pace of class, mixed with the hot-enough-to-perspire-but-not-hot-enough-to-SWEAT classroom temp, the unpleasant locker room experience (so crowded!), and the overpriced package options made this a two star experience for me.

I love Liz's slow flow class, and Nicole's Restorative class. I haven't tried hot yoga yet, I will eventually but I really want to learn the poses and get comfortable first. I'm not one who likes to jump into things because of trend. LOL but eventually at some point I'll be in the hot yoga class. :) Love this studio!
