I asked the realtor for advice and got someone to clear out the damaged flooring, etc. We got someone in there but it didn't look like a lot of care was taken. When I was in contact with my insurance company he gave me a list of preferred vendors that he regularly works with. PS., he had never heard of the original demo team (not a surprise). Summit was on this list and ready to aid me in restoring the home to be even better than it was before. They came and did a walk-through and gave me a quotation which seemed reasonable considering the damage to the primary suite bathroom and bedroom. I decided to upgrade the flooring from the original carpeting and had them put in vinyl plank which looked great. Cody was our project manager and he did a great job of keeping me updated considering I was managing this project from a distance as I still had my own house, job, etc., to consider. I worked with Lonnie, Robbie, and Donovan and they were all very helpful and were careful to minimize disruption as I was still working on some things within the house. I appreciated that they cleaned up after themselves (I mean everyone should) but they took care to do that and I was really pleased with the end result. Home owners insurance was paying for the repairs, they sent the money to me, I sent the money to CODR. Very basic transactions, but a year later they said we owed $4000 more, we paid a small amount out of our own pocket. Now 3 years later they are saying we owe them another $5000! We gave them everything the insurance sent and then some. They continue to call and send threatening letters, being very rude and accusatory. It's beyond harassment, they believe the insurance paid us thousands more and that we just kept it from them. Absurd, we would know if we had extra money laying around, we don't have anything. Living paycheck to paycheck, going to the food bank in-between. Seniors trying to survive on social security and these people are relentless trying to take away our home. Shame on them!!!
