We decided to stay here after other places we wanted to stay at were booked and we liked the looks…read moreof the location of this place based on the website photos. Much to my chagrin the photo was old since the picturesque Swissy looking place in the alps was surrounded by loads of hotels. So much for that, but overall the staff was super nice and the place was clean. Dated but clean. We were delivered a small fruit selection to our rooms, there were bathrobes, and I had a picturesque view from my window. Additionally the location was within walking distance from the thermal spa and the center of town so it was convenient. Breakfast was typical European continental breakfast...eggs, meat, cheese, bread, muesli, jams, juice, coffee, etc.

I…read moreordered the fromage en croute which was blah, I think it's supposed to be a nice bread cheese bake which is soaked in a bit of wine with cheese baked on it but I have had it once before and it was delicious, this was literally a slice of bread, no wine with a slice of cheese on top...not exciting. The waiter seemed nice but he proceeded to tell us how the town is not as popular anymore and how it was the fault of Americans with some other political blah blah. Weird.
