There were patio chairs that made for nice sun enjoying in the afternoon. I liked the fact the sink and shower were in a different room from the toilet. That allowed my wife and I more scheduling freedom. They have a nice bar and a beer garden to enjoy a beverage in. While it was chilly when we visited, the garden was very comfortable when the sun was out. The breakfast was typical for the region. Nothing exceptional. My only suggestion would be to have a pot of brewed coffee or a coffee machine in the dining room rather than in the kitchen. This would avoid having to ask the staff for coffee.

They smoke freely here which is a no for me. Dinner notes below. Service is unfortunately slow. They seem to be understaffed. It took several requests to get water and pita refills. Setting is dark and eclectic. Wine selection is solid. Mezze to start, with pita chips, hummus and eggplant as standouts. Kofte was interesting but the tabbouleh had a disconcerting consistency. The Korean fried chicken was too salty and sweet. The eggplant curry was a hit and happened to be a massive portion. Fries were pedestrian.

After placing our order, we quickly noticed our neighbor was eating the beef tartare, and politely asked the wife if she could please add it to our order. She gruffly said no. Perhaps she was worried about what her husband working in the kitchen would think about "changing" our order. This was a mere bump in the road compared to the grand finale. For desert my son ordered profiteroles and we made it very clear that he is unable to eat chocolate. After we sent the chocolate covered desert back with a request for it to come back on the side for one of our diners who likes chocolate, the chef/owner/husband came out in a RAGE. We have never been accosted like this in a restaurant. He told us he'd be happy if we never returned to his restaurant and we were afraid that he might hit us. All we asked for was chocolate on the side. He obviously felt comfortable taking his problems out on his guests. I ate here 20 years ago with my fiancée and we had a terrific meal. It is sad that things are not working out. Unless you're in the mood for being abused, please don't go here. P.S. the french fries are frozen.
