Where do I even begin! My boy Jasper had developed some matted fur & I spent hours looking for a groomer, as this was his first grooming experience ever I was being a bit picky. I reached out to Rita who made me feel so comfortable, gave her all the info & setting everything up was so easy! We ended up pushing back the appointment time we originally had so he could be the last appointment of the day in order for her to give him extra time if needed it. Again, his first time ever being groomed so we both weren't sure how he'd react. I also told her I just wanted the matts out & to do whatever she thought would be best for him. Ultimately we decided she would try what she could & shaving him would be last resort depending on how he reacted. It was so easy just having her right out front, no long car ride necessary. I loved getting photo updates throughout his grooming! She said it normally takes her 1 hour but for Jaspers first time she really took her time with him & he ended up taking 2 hours. I really appreciated her being patient with him & not trying to rush through it. After he was done we got to talking afterwards & she helped give me some tips on how to prevent matting in the future & what combs/brushes would be best to use on him. As soon as I let him out of the carrier afterwards he was nothing but purrs!! Rita put all my worries at ease for this first grooming experience & I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a groomer. You can tell she cares about your pets & wants what's best for them. read more

Alphapet City - Kitty after her grooming session - Pet Groomers Near Me

Long story short, I have very pretty bad anxiety and it never really triggered me when dropping my dog off to a groomers until last year. I typically will manage my dog's hair and do it myself, only going to a groomer when I need to, however, this does take up my time and makes my back ache! I have been thinking alot about using a mobile groomer and checking out a couple different people. Rita of Alphapet was prompt to respond to my messages and scheduling with her was a breeze. I chose her because she was the easiest to chat with in scheduling and inquiring, and because of that, I decided to try my first mobile groomer! Rita is communicative and friendly. She made my whole experience painless, and I cannot tell you how much peace of mind and heart that I had just being able to look out the window and see her van parked out front. I truly felt 0 anxiety, and that is something I haven't felt in a long time. Rita's van is clean and equipped, and my dog was the only one inside. No other dogs howling, crying, or barking, and so my dog was able to enjoy just being with Rita, uninterrupted. I want to say the process for my 3 year old, 27lb Mini Goldendoodle was about 2-2.5 hrs. She texted me when my dog was ready and I was very happy with the results! I will definitely be using Rita's services again and highly recommending her to any of my Doodle clients and friends! Thank you Rita for giving us a fantastic first experience! - Nicki and Lovely read more

We love Rita. She is the absolute best. We don't want anyone else touching our boys and they've been very well acclimated to her for years because of her patience with them. People always secretly tell me that nobody else's dogs are as clean and well-groomed as my boys and they want to know how. And I just beam with pride. It's all because of Rita! read more

If I could give Alphapet City more than five stars, I would. Rita groomed my elderly parents' two cats beautifully, which was no small feat. One cat is generally scared and lashes out at anyone except Mom & Dad, but Rita was able to calm her down. Our second cat is 16 years old and just tiny and ancient. Again, Rita was able to work with our senior feline to help her looking her best. After grooming both of them, they're both so much more comfortable as any and all matting is gone completely. They're both silky soft and lovely to touch. Mom and Dad are delighted by the results, as well. We're so glad Rita is now in California and is able to help! If you have cats and/or dogs and are looking for a groomer who clearly cares deeply about animals, call Alphapet City. read more

I'm so happy with our cat grooming service! We had a bad mat situation and a cat that is shy and scared with strangers. He also has had no experience with groomers or vets. Rita handled it so well & made our boy look incredible Having grooming done in front of our house is also so convenient! I loved getting pictures from her too, it really put me at ease. Thank you Rita for making this 38 week pregnant lady very relieved Now I can have this baby! read more

I absolutely love the groom that was done on Bailey! I was afraid to cut my Cavapoos cute shaggy fur, but she needed a cut for the summer. This was her first groom and Rita was so great with me spending a half hour talking about/helping me figure out what I wanted and what Bailey will grow into after this first cut. I give 5 stars, and look forward to working with her in the future! read more

RITA is AMAZING! We decided to reach out to her and other mobile groomers & we were so lucky we came across AlphaPet City ! She was able to accommodate our FRENCHIE's on such short notice (literally day of) and made us feel comfortable in trusting her with our pups. Rita is heaven sent! I have the most anxious, dramatic, and nervous dog. It has been such a difficult and stressful experience for me taking him to groomers. I think he had a terrible experience with groomers as a puppy bc he slowly started getting worse and worse to the point where I would take him and they couldn't complete his service. My dog, Bowie, is a poodle mix so it's super important to keep him groomed so he doesn't get matted. I found Alphapet on Yelp and it has been life changing! My dog is still difficult but I appreciate Rita's patience. Not only does she complete his service but she gives him the cutest haircuts! 10/10! read more

Rita did an outstanding job on my dog! She hadn't been groomed for awhile and she left her looking beautiful.

This groomer is amazing! She did an amazing job on my German Shepherd who was super sick and scared. Margarita was so calm, professional, and kind to my German Shepherd. He was in pretty bad shape, super dirty, and scared but when he came out he looked like a stud! I had to get him cleaned up before his vet appointment and I have never seen him so handsome. This was his first grooming experience and she was super patient with him, providing me pictures of the grooming experience, and kept me up to date with what she was doing next. She is a bit pricey compared to other groomers, but that's because I asked for the whole shabang and he was a big dog. Amazing experience and will recommend this groomer to anyone who wants their dog to look fabulous and have a wonderful experience being groomed! You can visit her IG @alphapetcityla to see all the amazing work she does. read more
