And the best part was seeing Charlie afterward...he came running into the house SO excited and happy, like he had just had the best time of his life! He didn't seem stressed at all. I hired Bark Barber Mobile Pet Grooming twice before and decided to schedule them again for my two Huskies, despite his prices having increased twice. My dogs already knew and were comfortable with the groomer, so I was willing to continue using the service even though it had become significantly more expensive. Unfortunately, this time the experience was extremely disappointing. I first messaged Carlos on July 15th and received no response. I then called on Friday, July 17 to follow up, and initially got no answer. When I called on his cell phone again, Carlos answered and said he was driving and would call me back in 30 minutes. He never did. I called again later that evening, and instead of apologizing for not following up, the conversation felt dismissive and unprofessional. We eventually scheduled an appointment for July 21 between 5:00 and 5:30 PM. Carlos never showed up and never called to let me know there was an issue. I tried calling multiple times around 7:30 PM and received no response. At that point, I had no choice but to look for another groomer through Yelp. Ironically, Yelp also sent my inquiry to other providers and this same groomer responded first. Given that he had already failed to show up for our confirmed appointment and had ignored multiple calls, I told him I was no longer interested in his services. I understand that things can occasionally happen, but failing to communicate, not returning calls and completely missing a scheduled appointment without any notice is unacceptable - especially from a service that has already increased its prices multiple times. I had continued using Bark Barber largely because my dogs were familiar with the groomer, but reliability and communication are just as important as the grooming itself.
