Hello Anytime Mailbox Support,…read more
I am writing to request a full refund of my $10 mailbox payment due to an extremely disappointing experience with your partner location, Print N Ship 4U, at 2340 Texas Heritage Parkway, Katy, TX.
Before visiting the location, I called and spoke directly with a representative to confirm the requirements for completing my USPS Form 1583 and avoiding the $25 online notarization fee.
He specifically instructed me to print the form, bring two forms of identification, and visit the location so he could notarize the document and complete the process. I wrote down his instructions and repeated them back to ensure I understood everything correctly.
After making multiple stops to obtain the printed document during my work lunch break, I arrived at the location only to discover that the representative appeared unfamiliar with the instructions he had given me.
He then directed me through additional paperwork, notarized two copies, and only afterward informed me that I owed $15.
At no point during our previous conversation or before performing the service did he disclose this additional charge.
When I questioned the unexpected fee, he began removing the notarized portions of the documents and suggested that I visit my bank to have them notarized for free.
This entire experience was unprofessional, frustrating, and completely avoidable. I specifically contacted the location beforehand to understand the process and any associated costs.
I no longer feel comfortable using this location to handle my personal mail or identification documents.
I am therefore requesting:
1. A full refund of my $10 mailbox payment.
2. Cancellation of my mailbox service with no additional charges.
3. Written confirmation once the refund and cancellation have been processed.
I would appreciate a prompt resolution.
Thank you,
1 Star -- Poor Communication, Undisclosed Fees, and Unprofessional Service
I had an extremely disappointing experience at this location while attempting to activate my Anytime Mailbox service.
Before visiting, I called and spoke directly with a representative to ask about the process for completing USPS Form 1583 without paying the $25 online notarization fee. He specifically instructed me to print the form, bring two forms of identification, and come to the store so he could notarize it and complete the process.
I wrote down his instructions and repeated them back to make sure everything was clear.
I went out of my way during my work lunch break to have the document printed and arrived with everything he requested.
When I arrived, the same representative seemed confused about the paperwork he had instructed me to bring. He then questioned why my information wasn't already entered into the system, despite previously telling me he would handle that part.
After hurriedly walking me through the paperwork, he notarized two copies and THEN announced that I owed $15.
At no point during our phone conversation or before performing the service did he mention this additional charge.
When I questioned why the fee hadn't been disclosed beforehand, he began removing the notarized portions of the paperwork and suggested I go to my bank to have it notarized for free.
Had he explained the fee during our original conversation, I could have made an informed decision without wasting my time driving around, printing documents, and visiting the location.
My issue is not simply the $15 fee. It is the lack of transparency, inconsistent instructions, and unprofessional handling of the situation.
I chose this service for convenience, but this experience created unnecessary frustration and wasted valuable time. I have requested a refund from Anytime Mailbox and will not be using this location.
I strongly recommend that anyone considering mailbox services here confirm every requirement and every fee in writing before visiting.
