My husband attempted to find the leak when looking at the pipes in the attic, cutting out part of the wall in the laundry room to make sure no pipes behind the washer/dryer were having issues, but eventually came to the conclusion that it could potentially be rain coming into the dryer vent which is on our roof - so if we had an extremely hard rain that came in a crazy angle, our wall was getting wet. So I researched around for someone and came across the reviews for McToolman. Kevin was quick to respond, set up an initial consultation that worked with our schedules, and send us a quote. We were fine with the quote and scheduled for Kevin to make the fix. Kevin came as scheduled and made the repair very quickly. We had a persistent roof leak in our bedroom that worsened with every storm. We called Vince, who…read moreinspected the area & recommended a patch job. After the first repair, it leaked again. Vince returned, "resealed" & added tiles. Next rain--no leak. We thought it was resolved. Another storm, leak returned. Vince came back, "expanded the area," resealed, & retiled again. This cycle repeated. Frustrated but appreciative that he kept returning to fix it--until the next big storm. This time, the leak came back worse, with 3 leak points instead of 1. We gave up & hired a new roofer. Best decision we made! The new roofer found 3 separate active leaks & rotted wood beneath the tiles. He was shocked that this was missed. The wood was so decayed the nails weren't even holding. No real inspection, no proper fix, just slapdash patches on a failing structure. Bottom line: this issue could've been caught and resolved correctly. We wasted time & money. If you've hired Universal--double check their work!

We texted & called them to help & they said it would be $3400 to repair it. We posted a negative review & they offered to fix it as they wanted our review to go away. We appreciate them agreeing to fix it at no cost but then their top roofer didn't fix it properly (see video). The owner assured us the job was done right this time but we learned in conversations they did not put flashing on our roof & didn't repair any with the new roof either. Two months after the attempted repair the leaking got worse so we contacted other contractors to assess & learned they just piled up sealant & added a screw (see video). Now we have to pay $6500 to repair it. Mike McNally is ignoring my calls as is his son. We selected them over another roofer & we regret it. No flashing. Just slapping down shingles. Ridiculous. Incompetent. Nice people but this is wrong.

Bryon was my service rep and he represented your brand to the highest every time he came by. He initially came out and checked my roof, attic, ceilings, etc. and then he came back the very next day and met with my insurance adjuster to ensure I got a fair review.
