By sheer luck, we were just 0.2 miles from Mavis, where we've always had great service on our truck tires. Josh, the manager, came right out to check. Unfortunately, Mavis wasn't equipped to fix a boat trailer with the boat loaded. But instead of just sending us away, Josh immediately found a nearby boat repair shop that could help. Then--going completely above and beyond--he insisted on following behind us in his own car with flashers on while we limped a mile down busy Rt. 50 at 10 mph. That peace of mind made all the difference in a very stressful situation. Josh had a busy store to run, but still took the time to look out for us. That kind of genuine care is rare, and it speaks volumes about him and about Mavis as a company. I tried to find a cheaper part for my car but his prices were dead on to what I could have paid. The only downside was paying a diagnostic fee that wasn't added into the repair. I do have someone locally (Dunn, NC) that I use and he includes the fee into the service. Not sure how most other mechanics do their fees. Overall he finished the work within 2 hours and I was back on the road. He was polite and a pleasure to deal with. He didn't try to break our pockets either. I would definitely recommend him and his company to anyone.
