4/14/2026 I showed up a few minutes early for my appointment for a cleaning and an oral exam. I was told she had cancelled my appointment because I supposedly didn't 'CONFIRM my appointment'. WHAT? Evidently I was supposed to be home to answer (I have a landline) her phone call, but I wasn't there for a while, thus the appointment was cancelled. How rude and stupid is that! Then she said she could fit me in the next day. Ahhhh, no freaken way. I told her I would find a better place and walked out. Ten minutes later I made an appointment at another office nearby. When I told them about Alpha Dental they just shook their heads and said they would never treat their patients like that. read more

Went to a couple of appointments at the Franklin office. While the work that was performed was "ok" ... my first visit left my mouth bruised up, on my second visit i was stabbed in the face by the dental assistant with a dental pick because she was not paying attention. Afterwards I was hurried out the door ... After cancelling my next visit (who would go back given what happened) now there is a nonsensical no-show fee attached to my account along with other extra charges. Upon questioning them, I was met with a confrontational attitude, unwillingness to remedy the situation, and threatened with more charges from times I had previously re-scheduled other appointments. read more

FEEL LIKE I WAS CHEATED BY A USED CAR SALES TEAM! Had an old metal filling in my molars that was falling apart. The woman dentist looked at it. Said it needed to be replaced, which I agreed with. They scheduled me with one of the male dentists. I show up in the AM and he tells me... yup, this is going to need a crown. I said I don;t understand, no one told me it was going to be a crown! Why can't you drill out what's there, put that metal clamp around the tooth and refill it? He tells me that I need crown (which costs $1000's vs a filling for $100's).. I decided to walk away and think about it. At the next cleaning, the woman dentist comes and looks at my teeth again. I mentioned to her that the other dentist told me I needed a crown. I don't understand - and tell her the same thing. She says, oh yes, she can do that for me: it doesn't need a crown... it's not a problem! ok... weird that I am hearing different stories, but I am going with it. So make my appointment, go in and before she starts, I ask her again - "so you think you can drill it out and put a new filling?" she says absolutely, it should not be a problem. doesn't need a crown, but we will see how it goes once she gets in there. They drill out the old filling, put the clamp around the tooth, fill it with a white filling: Yay! ....well a short lived Yay! After she is done, and my mouth is all numb enough that I cannot talk properly to argue with her, she tells me "You are good to go, the filling should give you about 6 month's, but you may need a crown." ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! It doesn't make sense! WHY IS YOUR FILLINGS SO INFERIOR THAT THEY ONLY LAST 6 Months? The exact same filling that was in there lasted 8 years!! I'm very happy with the care from Dr. Montravadi, kind, informative, and professional. She's fairly new at this practice & a great addition. I hope she stays. I first went several years ago because of convenient location and my insurance being accepted there. Right away Dr. Salem made a long term plan for 4 crowns although I'd only had one before that. I had my old one repaired/replaced as I planned & a couple of fillings done well. Over the next 5 years I did have the other crowns done. I have to say the success varied. For some reason the crowns have been slightly larger than my existing teeth, and different assistants, not the dentist, inserted them with variable success... one seems to catch food & require frequent flossing after eating. Kiera, an assistant, did a great with the first two and they've been good. The last one was done completely by Dr. Montravadi & seems perfect, so thank you. I've never had a problem with any of the hygienists, always professional. I'm happy to recommend this practice. Not sure how their prices compare since routine care is covered by my insurance plan. read more

Pristine facility, polite staff, and several expert dentists--particularly Dr. Salem--who could wear blindfolds and still do a better job than any other dentists. I didn't have the best insurance at the time of my first appointment, so most of the work I needed done was not covered by my insurance. Yet I was relieved to find out that Alpha Dental Franklin was undercutting the competition's prices quite nicely, making my teeth healthy and white, without making my wallet skinny and light. Dr. Salem is always very patient and goes out of his way to make me feel comfortable during my visits. I've since moved further away from the area, but continue to come back here despite the distance simply because the quality of service is more than worth it. You won't find me getting my teeth taken care of anywhere else; Alpha Dental has another customer for life! read more

I used this practice for years but have recently switched away. After quick and ungentle cleanings, I would see the dentist for about 20 seconds before being sent on my way. My real problem with Alpha Dental Franklin is the way they treat the patients. The hygienist I usually dealt with wasn't the friendliest. Going to the dentist is not enjoyable for me and this practice did not help with that... Bottom line... I am switching from this dentist because I KNOW there must be better service elsewhere. read more

I recently had a root-canal done by Dr. Salem at Alpha Dental Center. Although I was really scared about the procedure and wary about the pain afterwards, the faculty there were very welcoming and nice. The assistant went over things with me regarding the procedure and made sure I was ok. When Dr. Salem came in, he walked me through again about what was going to happen. He was very careful and made sure I felt alright through out the procedure and was always checking if I was feeling ok. I've also had many hygiene appointments at Alpha Dental Center and the hygienists are very good and thorough with my cleanings. They always go over proper hygiene techniques and point out if I need to work on anything. They take my insurance and I do not have to pay much out of pocket. I highly recommend this place! read more

I have been coming to the Franklin location for years and the staff here is always welcoming and accommodating. The scheduling is very flexible, especially during the school year, which is a must for students like myself. I have been treated by both Dr. Sarner and Dr. Salem for yearly check-ups and a filling or two. Both Dentists are always willing to go the extra mile to ensure my Dental health is in check before going back school each year. At first glance I was skeptical. Nestled between a paint store and a Subway restaurant the location itself was unimpressive and immediately caused me to think long and hard about even going inside for my first appointment. However, once inside the professionalism became obvious. The decor itself coupled with a short conversation with the articulate and knowledgeable receptionist more than convinced me I was in the right place. Within minutes (long waits apparently are not an option) I was being treated by two of the most professional dental specialists I had ever met and the treatment they provided has to be among the most professional available. Alpha Dental Center Is the epitome of quality care and service! From the moment I entered I was warmly greeted. The staff took such good care of me throughout my appointment. I'm not a fan of dental work , and I was dreading my hygiene and cavity filling appointment, but after meeting Dr.Salem, I was positive that I was in excellent hands, and I was! He was very gentle I barely felt a thing. He was also very pleasant, and his passion for his work was evident in his careful and proficient handling of my teeth. Terrible service, let me start with telling you I have been using them for 3 years, but now things have changed dramatically for the worst. First, I could not understand the dental hygienist, nor the dentist or her helper, their ability to speak English was much less than acceptable to carry on a conversation never mind to give instructions. Second, the dental hygienist did a well under par job, it was incomplete, hurried and highly unusual using an air flow consistently and continuously for no reason at all, not allowing proper discharge of saliva accumulation, etc,, etc. Third, the dentist did not ask if I was allergic to NOVOCAINE (anesthetic) before injecting me, then she did not inform me that she was going to inject me before she did, she socked me with the injections, then she have me a choice to use a silver billing versus a white filling, I asked for the silver, at the end of the procedure, I found out she used WHITE, which is NOT what I asked. Four, the dentist helper, it seems did not have the training to be assisting the dentist, since she was very rough and was using my mouth (lips and teeth) to hold her tools....causing me lots of pain and discomfort. I will NOT return, or recommend anyone to their office in Franklin, MA. I tried to complain to someone, but was almost impossible to find a phone number or website to complain. After an hour of searching, I spoke with someone in the main office of the company that informed me that they do not take complains, and that I was welcome to write an email and send it to them. I took the time to fill out a complain, gave my name and phone number, but NOBODY call or addressed this problem. Really bad, bad company, do not go there, save your self pain, aggravation and a very bad experience. read more

Please do not go here! If i could, i would give Alpha dental, especially the Franklin, MA branch, 0 stars but I had to give a 1 star to post this. Save your money and please go somewhere else! I hope no one experiences what I had to go through. I was just a teen, and I went for my regular 6-month cleaning. Then the doctor said I have a cavity and i needed to get it filled. So they scheduled a random doctor to do my filling. Come to find out that this doctor was very, very, very inexperienced and shouldn't have gotten her license for dentistry. Her name was Dr. Kanak Trivedi. She finished my filling in just 5 minutes, then the pain persisted for more than 5 months, which was abnormal. I go back to tell them that I have teeth pain, and they assigned to me to the next inexperienced doctor who should also be stripped of her license. Now, this doctor's name was Dr. Shruti Mantravadi. So I told her I had had a regular cavity filling and had persisting tooth ache on the same tooth that was filled. Then, she conducted a few tests, one being a cold test where you spray a swab with cold air and place it on the tooth, and when she did, my aching tooth hurt, which wasn't supposed to happen. Therefore, she said i had to get a root canal. I was very furious at this point. So after all of this, I book and appointment to talk to the Endodontist at this Franklin branch, and he says I don't even need a root canal, that this Dr. Mantravadi had misdiagnosed me. He also told me that Dr. Trivedi, who had performed my filling, must have dug really hard into my gums and hit a sensitive area which may have caused this prolonging pain. Now, its been a year, and thank god i have changed my dental place, but the pain still persists in the same tooth that was filled. Five dental implants later I can still say I enjoy going to the dentist!! Everyone from Dr. Salem, his assistant, hygienists,and clerical staff are extremely friendly, courteous, and professional. This dental office is great. Dr. Salem is a fast, efficient and professional. Our whole family has been going to the Franklin office for the past 5 plus years, and have never had a problem. The office is warm and welcoming, the staff is equally so. We never have trouble getting Ipin for emergency appointments, and more importantly we do not wait when we have a scheduled appointment. Originally the staff were very nice. I was informed I had a "type 1" shallow cavity in one of my back molars. They wanted to do a filling and as this was my first cavity, I reluctantly agreed. I was told I would not even need novacaine for the procedure but once getting into Mr. Salem's office he took a quick glance and changed his mind. I was injected several times and he proceded to do the filling talking about how he was in a rush so the assistant could get to lunch. He drilled and drilled my "shallow" cavity until he hit the nerve and I pulled back. He looked concerned and then kept drilling. He filled my whole entire tooth when he was just supposed to fill the shallow surface of it. I was told there would be no pain after the procdure but have been in severe tooth pain for days. I just went back to ask why after never experiencing tooth pain in my life, I now have extreme pain in that tooth. He basically told me I was wrong that hes not worried and stressed that HE did not do anything wrong. He filed down the tooth( even though it did not need to be filed down and started filing down my tooth opposite to it. He took off precious enamel I can never get back for no reason. He was very rude about it. He is cocky, arrogant, and his presence is oppresive. One of the worst beside manners I have ever experience. If you have to use Alpha Dental, I ask for your own sake that you ask not to have Mr. Salem. I have never had a bad dental experience or experienced any tooth pain until visiting this office. I cannot express how dissapointed I am that put my dental health in the hands of these people. I will never get my tooth and my enamel back and have to live with a much higher risk of cavitys for the rest of my life. Dont make my same mistake. read more
