He was also very good at fitting the new AC into the space for the old one and ensuring it was sealed and weather proofed. However, when he finished the work, he left large boxes and packing materials scattered where he opened them and filling our kitchen floor and on the dining room table. He didn't do anything to organize the mess or break down the boxes. He said most of it was recyclable and he wouldn't do anything with it. Left us to clean up after he left and figure out how to manage and get rid of these large heavy boxes. Additionally, he had put the old AC on our deck. We asked if he would recycle the old AC and he agreed - charging us an additional $200 to take it. When he put it on our deck, it left piles of black (not sure what) that we had to clean after he left. Additionally, I had purchased a new bracket to support the new air-conditioner. He decided without consulting me to use the old bracket instead. (Hopefully it last for the long run!)

We first learned about Wise Choice through Yelp, and although we were initially nervous about choosing a contractor for such a large job (they gave us the best estimate, by far!) without a personal recommendation, we couldn't be happier with our decision. They were great to work with throughout the entire process, from architectural and engineering plans, permitting, and the actual construction. The project manager, Sergiy, and foreman, Bogdan, were very honest, helpful, and responsive every step of the way. The project was completed pretty much on budget (with only a couple of unforeseen issues outside of their control) and on time. They laid out special cardboard to protect the floors and also were mindful of the cabinets that were previously painted. Finally they were really great about letting us know immediately if any changes to the plan needed to happen. 10/10 would go with them for any kitchen or bath remodel moving forward. I paid $10K more than I was expecting for the project I hired him for. 2. If you're in the Seattle area, you'll be considered a hassle. Sami is in Bothell and doesn't like to have to come out to Seattle unless absolutely necessary. 3. Be prepared to work at their schedule. Many times I was told that Sami or his workers would be at my house at a certain time. No show. Or several hours later. Sometimes even bright and early on a Saturday. 4. Do a THOROUGH walk-through before dismissing the project as complete. I made the mistake of paying slightly less because ceiling tiles were on order to complete my project. It's been four weeks, I've followed up w/ no response. So there's still an area on my project that is incomplete. Quality of work was average. Time to finish the project was long, very long. I've been working with them for over 7 months...for a basement remodel. As a woman, I also made sure to have friends check the work of his contractors, which oftentimes needed to be redone.
