I wouldn't recommend sending your child to Alpha Bits Learning Center because I have worked there from September 2020-February 2021. I have had a bad experience working there: I wasn't treated right by the staff members and I was lied on by another coworker stating that I was "too rough" with the kids and I know for a fact I told the office workers I am not like that because I have worked with kids and I knew better than to do that. When I got ready to go home I got called to the office and that's when I was terminate for that reason. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE! I REPEAT, DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE! I would give this place ZERO STARS IF I COULD. My two year old son went to the alpha bits on the west side and never had issues or concerns brought up there. He loved going and never cried when I dropped him off. My son started at this alpha bits at the beginning of September and since day one there were complaints from his teachers. They complained of him doing two year old things like not being able to redirect because he gets into things he's not supposed to, or yells, or has more energy since he's a two year old boy. I've walked in picking my son up and I saw the teacher sitting on the floor not paying attention to my child trying to climb on the wall. I've caught my child putting things like plastic or paper towels in his mouth in front of the teachers while they either weren't paying attention or just let him do it. He was put in an in-between class because they had to many kids in the potty training class because one of there teachers wasn't potty training the kids.. and when I complained to the administration about the teachers being lazy and not watching my child, I was asked to come in for a meeting to find another school for my two year old because he couldn't be redirected or couldn't fully speak to express how he feels.and said there teachers aren't trained or equiped to handle kids like my son, Mind you he's only two years old. The administrative staff is a joke. They tried to assume because we came from the west side that I needed to be on state assistance for child care. Also, the administrative staff gave me less than two weeks to find a daycare and when I told them they need to give me time they said they would but less than two weeks to find a school. So my child has only been going to this school for just about a month and has been kicked out for no credible reason. And they've said they've had to kick out other students for the same reason as my two year old. Today 10/08/2021 was his last day at alpha bits, and sure enough while I was giving my son a bath I noticed two huge bite marks on my child. Mind you I was never told he got bitten by his lazy ass teachers, and it's not the first time he's been bitten either. So if you have the perfect child and are desperate for child care and don't mind your kid not actually being watched then definitely send your child here. If you care about your child and have your child go here, I suggest you reevaluate. My kid screamed everyday that I dropped him off and it's because the teachers were not watching the kids. read more

Apparently questioning a " book fee " that literally makes NO sense results in your kids being kicked out of the their day care center I offered to pay the $75 once I started to see these so called " books " come home and they told me " nope , you're done " So the owner can pocket $1,875 from my son's class for books that aren't even given to us and I don't have the right to question it ? HA . I'm honestly relieved to be done with these money hungry assholes . I've met some great people and the owner is not even close to one of them . I have observed questionable behavior from staff to include yelling at children under the age of one. Sending children outside without appropriate attire, not encouraging sleeping patterns to children under 1, not offering meals at appropriate intervals or at all. Parents beware! Poor communication. I always wanted to write a review about this place and just never got to it...But reading the news recently just reminded me, how I didn't like this place several years ago, when my son was going there. I used to come to pick him up in the middle of day, when I just wanted him to get used to it and saw teachers yelling & screaming at the small kids and when I just stood there with surprise, they run out to ask me, if I have a problem with something?! ...When the weather was very hot, I told my 3 year old son to make sure he drinks plenty of water, but I noticed, that he was bringing the full bottle back home and when I asked him, why, he said, the teachers tell them not to drink, so they don't need to go to the bathroom?! Or at the playground, they never paid attention to the kids, there were two boys fighting with another little one and I had to stop by and ask them to leave him alone, because the teachers were just chatting and didn't care. There were several things like this and this place was giving me anxiety every morning, when was dropping him off....as soon as I found a different place, I pulled him out of there right away. My two boys went to Alpha-Bits for about 3 years. I truly do not like to post negative things on the web but our experience was horrible. The price is good for this daycare but you find out why when you attend. They close for every single holiday, including day after Thanksgiving, day after Christmas, and the day after New Years. They close for every drop of snow, even my friend that teaches had school on days when Alpha-Bits was closed. I understand closing for safety but with this place it honestly seemed like they closed to keep their overhead down whereas we pay regardless of how many days our kids attend. The staff turn-over is like nothing I have ever seen. They will literally hire anyone to take care of your children. The toys they give the kids to play with are so old and worn, and the facility feels more like a hospital then a school or daycare. They focus on sanitation which is not a bad thing but there is no warmth to the facility at all. My 3 year old son was injured multiple times and half of the time they couldn't explain what happened to him. The infant room is in the basement with no natural light. The office staff believe they are doctors. They diagnose your children and not even a doctors note proving them wrong makes them back off. Just honestly a terrible, terrible experience. We moved our boys in June and it was the best decision we have ever made. Our children are thriving at the new daycare. It is colorful, and bright and the staff, and owners are amazing. I would highly recommend not using Alpha-Bits. read more
