I prepare her lunch in a bento box every school day and they did not provide it to her, rather they provided her with someone else's lunch and she has a severe peanut allergy (she will have a reaction even if her skin comes into contact with it). It took me two days to get answers as to why my daughter was not given her lunch. That same day, her very own teacher had no idea if she even napped that day. It was also a water play day and her water bottle was bone dry when I picked her up. So she was not given basic necessities - her carefully packed lunch and water. On another occasion, she didn't nap for the full rest period and because they are always short staffed and not meeting ratios, she sat in the hallway by the door and watched Minnie Mouse on the assistant director's phone while she "sent some emails". There were 3 occasions where I picked my daughter up and one of the staff members was sitting in her car with the drivers side door open, one leg in the car and one leg out, on her phone, and she would always come in the building immediately after I walked in. So many things went horribly wrong over a one month span of part time childcare. We waited 2.5 years to send our daughter to daycare and this is what happened with our first experience. My daughter coming into contact with food that was not provided by me could have resulted in a life-threatening emergency situation, and it took days to get answers and those answers were just one lie after another. The owner will lie straight to your face and treat you like you are dumb for even questioning her. She also tried to charge us for an additional two weeks because it's in the "contract". They didn't provide basic necessities to my child and yet they still expect us to pay for another two weeks of "care". It is absolutely appalling and I don't want any other parent to have to go through what we've went through with this center. If you don't trust my review, please look this center up on the NH DHHS CCLU website to see their history with the licensing board. Repeat violations, children being left unattended on numerous occasions, not complying with ratios, and documented lies between the owner and her staff about lying about attendance records and ratios. Look it up for yourself. Please do your research and keep yourself informed to prevent going through what we have gone through with this awful center.

My son spent a month and a half at their Hooksett location before transferring to their Manchester location (there wasn't an opening in Manchester yet) and both schools are incredible. There are 3 sisters that own and operate these locations - them and their staff clearly love what they do. It was apparent with how happy my son would be when I picked him up, and how happy he was to be dropped off (after the initial crocodile tears) I am so looking forward to continue being a part of the Colorful Apples family and I would recommend either location to anyone looking for excellent childcare. It feels so good not to worry about the well-being of my child while I'm at work. Thank you to the entire Colorful Apples staff. We love you!

Thankfully I made a wonderful choice for my daughter's daycare with Colorful Apples! Since day one, the teachers have put my mind at ease. They are on top of everything that goes on and give my child so much attention and love that I could not be happier. The center in Manchester is small and I really love the family atmosphere it creates. You get to know all the kids and parents quickly. There is no greater comfort than feeling like your child is well loved and taken care of when you can't be there and that is what Colorful Apples has given me. Thank you so much Dawn, Liz and Amber.

They do great activities with the kids and all of their employees are wonderful. It's unfortunate that someone gave a 1 star review just because of the fact that TLT charged a fee during Covid. They send out a very honest explanation and at the time were not being offered any special help /programs from the government as other businesses were. They were faced with a very difficult decision and instead of shutting down their doors and leaving tons of parents scrambling, they stayed opened and very transparent of their decision to charge. I was not thrilled about paying either but to me it was worth it and they really didn't have any other options. As far as the other woman that posted a bad review. It sounds like you're not going to be a "good fit" anywhere. If your child requires alone time, that's going to involve another staff member to supervise this child so that he/she can be alone. Not to mention a free space to do this in. Sounds like you should consider an at home nanny service instead of expecting a daycare to conform to your very specific, high level needs. I looked at her profile and she's given 1-2 stars to 4 other area day cares. At some point, you've got stop and think, "maybe it's not them....maybe it's me" I find the need to point this out because I don't think it's fair to TLT or inquiring parents looking at the ratings to base your decisions off two reviews that really aren't relavent to how wonderful this place truly is. Bottom line, our kids loved it here. The staff is incredibly generous and truly cared for our children. I've never felt more comfortable leaving my kids with anyone else than I have here so THANK YOU ALL!!

Being a first time parent, I was obviously panicked about being away from my daughter for the first time and all of the employees were extremely kind and patient with me as I called multiple times a day to check in. They also have an app called Tadpoles that allows us to get in depth descriptions of every single thing that happens throughout the day and what lessons/skill development they worked on that day. A few weeks after my daughter had started going I was rushed to the ER and was hospitalized for a week. The staff not only worked with me and got to know various family members of mine to approve of additional pick up people, but they also were sure to ask every day how I was doing. They also allowed me to call and speak with the teachers since I wasn't having face to face interaction with them anymore. I also missed a tuition payment when I was in the hospital and instead of punishing me, they allowed me to get it to them as soon as I was out and able to go. The daycare has been extremely diligent with all sicknesses (even prior to COVID19) and has the best sanitation practices in the state. They were able to catch the first signs of RSV with my daughter and alerted me immediately and even followed up to see how she was feeling. From personal experience, I can truly say that these employees treat the students as if they are family. I can honestly say that after seeing the way that my daughter's face lights up when she sees some of the employees, I have full faith in their abilities to care for my daughter in the same way I would myself. I have been meaning to post a review for a while but I finally needed to now because of the way the daycare is handling COVID19 and these unprecedented times. My husband and I are both essential workers and not only are we required to work right now but we are required to work longer than normal hours. Having a safe and family-like atmosphere for our daughter to go to everyday has truly been paramount not only to her happiness, but also to allow us to safely perform our job functions. They have taken an endless amount of precautions to ensure our children are as safe as humanly possible from the virus and they have also put a huge impact on the safety of their employees. They have been supportive to all families, even the ones who chose to keep their children home during this time, and are consistently communicating every policy they are using to keep parents informed. The current pandemic is really showing what companies are genuine/caring/successful and what companies don't care about their employees and clients what so ever. The Goddard School of Derry has not only proved to us how incredible of a facility they are, but they far exceeded any of our expectations of a childcare institution. No other daycare could compare.
