A fantastic place for children to learn as they grow. Love their setting close to a farm, where…read morechildren get to pet animals and go for walks on trails. My children both learned how to spell basic words by the age of 4, along with knowing how to add, recognize shapes and much more. Class sizes are small, allowing for caregivers to provide the right level of attention to every child. Highly recommend this place.

They are well cared for, safe, challenged in the right way and come home talking about all the fun activities they get to do. Goddard did not close, we found this concerning but did not say anything. We simply called and told them we will be keeping all four children at home as advised by local and federal government. Goddard acknowledged and told us to let them know when we feel comfortable bringing them back and they are staying open. Well, they billed us for the two weeks they were not attending. Apparently you must unenroll. There is no safety feature for an epidemic or any reason they will not continue to bill you. The policy of this company is ridiculous. Can you image any other company stating you will need to pay unless you cancel whether you use the service or not. And at minimum you will pay for 2 weeks after canceling? Try pulling that off anywhere else. It is wrong and apparently has effected many families in a crisis situation. So we will see what governing boards think of these shady practices of charging families when Dr.s and governments are asking us to stay home. It's no different than Starbucks charging $20 for bottled water during 911. And I haven't been back to Starbucks since. Needless to say our kids won't be attending this shady business again. But we loved the teachers!

I have been SO pleased with Applewood! We started out at another daycare when our child was just 3…read moremonths old and felt that that place, while warm and inviting, had an unduly high turnover of staff, did not introduce us to new staff members, and were constantly upping the number of babies in their care, at the expense of the babies that were already there. I finally decided to make the switch when I arrived at pick-up and found my eight-month-old, who was quite capable of getting around by rolling and crawling, bound to a Bumbo and trying to access a toy that had gotten away from her. She was so frustrated, and so was I. There were some wonderful caretakers there, but I just knew it wasn't the right place for us. After searching around for a few weeks I stumbled upon Applewood's website and gave them a call. I talked to Tracy for about a half an hour! She was so encouraging, warm, and informed. We visited and it was like NIGHT AND DAY! The baby room was so lovely, with wind chimes and scarves and rocking chairs. Best of all, there were NO swings, Bumbos, or exersaucers designed to prevent baby's natural movements: all the babies just crawl and roll around the carpet to their heart's content! It is amazing to watch babies get the chance to interact with one another in such an organic way. The teachers in the infant room are WONDERFUL and caring, and they make lots of notes and let you know all that your child has been doing that day. They are very well-trained and informed, get opportunities for continuing professional development, and truly seem to enjoy their career path. I enjoy my job, but I do sometimes feel that guilt that comes along with being a working parent. I'm thankful Applewood exists, as it eases so much of that guilt. I know my child is having a wonderful day thanks to the teachers and staff there. Now she's almost ready to transition out of the Toddler Room and it's been wonderful to watch her grow with her playmates. The Toddler room has been similarly awesome. They cook, engage in lots of process art and other process activities, play pretend, and often go outdoors twice a day. It's a little pricier than some other childcare centers, but it's been 100% worth it (and is certainly NOT the most expensive). Highly, highly recommend.
