While I can't speak for other parents, we certainly did not have a good experience with this daycare. We moved up from North Carolina and this place was recommended to us by a friend. It is worth noting that this friend was very satisfied with the daycare, in the spirit oh honesty. This daycare is against the idea of discipline, and doesn't believe that it is ok to tell a child when they have done something wrong. Instead they simply isolate the child and give them toys to place with away from their group, and they refuse to call it "time-out". With that being said, we are very big on discipline and when our daughter does something wrong, she goes to timeout with no-toys or anything. We make sure she understands that what she did was wrong, that it is not okay, and that there are consequences for her actions. Since we raised our daughter this way, and the daycare was polar opposite, our child had a bad time at this daycare. She quickly became a bully because she got away with everything (was never actually punished - even when requested, they refused to put her in timeout), and started biting other kids. The director ended up telling us that we had 2 weeks to find a new daycare because other parents were complaining.
In summary, instead of trying to fix the problem, our child was literally evicted from this daycare. On top of that, our daughter was at a daycare before this one, and is currently in another daycare and has had ZERO issues. The way that the daycare is structured, everything is very isolated, each class is its own room with no visibility to other areas, unlike some daycares where it is more of an open vibe. Because of this, I am convinced that the young ladies they have working there were spending more time on their cell phones then they were watching the kids, and that is how so many incidents were able to occur (on top of the no discipline). I don't know how else my daughter has had no issues at her other locations, but was labeled a bully at this place. read more
